Chapter 164: Flowers

Under the expectant gaze of the Five Elements Spirits, Luo Jiujiang scattered the seeds of "heart flower" one by one.

During this period, the essence of the five elements kept clinging to the corner of Luo Jiujiang's clothes, asking him several questions over and over again.

"Is the heart flower pretty?"

"Very beautiful." Luo Jiujiang recalled and smiled, "Very beautiful."

"Do I have to wait a long time before I can see it?"

As he spoke, Luo Jiujiang was weighing the amount of seeds he had mixed in with the other packet, so he was a bit slow to respond. "Maybe? Not necessarily. Besides, the flowers still need to germinate before they can bloom."

He considered for a moment before deciding to scatter the flying orchid, spring morning blossoms, and fine-stamen pear rain together. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed the flower seeds, and the soil on the peaks and hills lifted a layer, neither too thick nor too thin, and followed his movements, covering the flower seeds beneath the soil. His movements were neither fast nor slow, perfectly coordinated, like a rhythm.

The Five Elements Spirit continued to mutter, "That doesn't guarantee a long time. Does it have to be as long as closing your eyes and counting to twenty?"

"A little longer."

"Close your eyes and count two hundred? Isn't that enough? How about two thousand?"

"Probably not enough. It should depend on my speed."

"Then can you be quicker? Can you make it very quickly? Can you prevent it from sprouting? Which looks better when it sprouts or when it blooms? Can I see it now?"

Luo Jiujiang was confused by this series of questions. He helplessly emptied a cloth bag containing seeds and casually stuffed the empty bag into his sleeve. He no longer moved towards the other hill, but turned around to face the Five Elements Essence that was clinging to him tightly.

"Stretch out your hands, close your eyes and count to ten."

"..." The Five Elements Essence was now showing off its inappropriate excitement. He blinked, his dark, round eyes filled with alertness. "Are you going to hit me?"

"..." So how did those monks who strayed into this place before deceive him? Why did they think they would hit him if they asked him to come closer, and even if they asked him to stretch out his hand, they would still hit him?

Luo Jiujiang didn't know whether to laugh or cry, and said, "No, didn't I tell you that I don't bully children?"

The Five Elements Essence pursed his lips, his hands clasped behind his back, his shoulders hunched. His eyes shifted, a sweet smile spreading across his face again. "So... are you going to give me some candy?"

Luo Jiujiang thought to himself, if I had a piece of malt sugar in my hand, I would definitely be willing to feed it to you. It would not only coax you, but also help you seal your mouth for a while. It would kill two birds with one stone, so why not?

However, he had no sugar.

"If you're greedy, I'll break off a roasted chicken leg for you to eat later." Luo Jiujiang promised: "Come, hand me your little hand. If you don't want to close your eyes, forget it."

The Five Elements Essence reluctantly stretched out his two chubby little hands and turned over his palms. His previous foolish running around had not only cut off a lot of dirt from his body, but even left a few dirty marks on his palms.

Luo Jiujiang certainly didn't care about this. In fact, when he was a kid, he was many times more crazy than the Five Elements Essence. Later, when he grew older, he focused on physical cultivation. All day long, his clothes were either stained with mud and sweat or stained with salt and grass juice. Before he reached the fourth level of Qi Refining, his body was never clean.

Even now, even if the essence of the five elements and Luo Jiujiang were left outside together, this careless guy would probably be too slow to notice this scene and would definitely not remember to take the child to wash his hands.

Unaware of the situation, Luo Jiujiang reached into his storage bag, pulled out the medicine capsule he'd targeted, and extracted a round, thin black seed. He placed the tiny seed in the palm of the Five Elements Spirit's hand and blew on it pretentiously. A pure, flawless white flower slowly blossomed within the Five Elements Spirit's palm. For a moment, as the two, large and small, gazed upon it, it was incredibly beautiful.

Compared to Luo Jiujiang's ability to only partially bloom the flower in his palm, the Five Elements Spirit was even more accomplished. The flower in his palm was fully opened in his small palm, its radiant and holy petals lying docilely in his hand. The width of the palm was wider than the Five Elements Spirit's, so he had to be careful to hold it.

He let out a cry of surprise, with half of his face almost buried in the flowers. If Luo Jiujiang hadn't stopped him, he would have almost dropped his eyeballs in there.

Now, Luo Jiujiang, who was working hard to plant flowers, could no longer attract his attention. The spirit of the five elements simply sat down on the ground, picked up the flower in his palm with the hem of his skirt, and touched the flower carefully, saying "so beautiful" on the left and "so magical" on the right.

It seemed that he would not have any intention of disturbing Luo Jiujiang for a while. A flower in his palm was enough for him to play with for a while.

Luo Jiujiang laughed and shook his head, then turned around and continued to busy himself with his sowing business.

Come to think of it, now that he thought about it, the most convenient and appropriate gift he got from the underground palace of the dead was not the mirage pearl that could help him regulate his breathing and calm his mind, but the palm flower seeds that he casually picked up two or three handfuls from the air.

From the current point of view, this flower seed can be used to bribe the master of Medicine Peak to death, and can also be used to help oneself escape and coax children. It is really a rare and good product to carry with you at home and when traveling.

If he could meet Jiaotu one day, Luo Jiujiang would definitely thank him for this matter.

By the time he'd traversed the mountains and rivers he'd created, the flower seeds in his storage bag had just about run out. The little fellow was still sitting there, fiddling with the flower in his palm. Seeing his enchanted expression, he must have been more than happy to marry it.

Luo Jiujiang couldn't help but smile, walked around behind the child, and casually rubbed the little guy's soft head.
