Luo Jiujiang had previously looked forward to the course "Sound Killing".
Luo Cang's "Sound Killing" was his unique skill, renowned for its swift and skillful execution, yet difficult to master. Of the few times he had taught the art in the academy, only about 30 to 40 percent of the audience understood it, and only about 10 to 12 could learn it. He hadn't found a single disciple who met his standards.
Before this class, Luo Jiujiang was very eager to try and challenge this record.
But what's the point of talking about records now? What's the point of talking about killing sounds? This old bastard's words are too sinister.
The two responded to Luo Cang's words instantly. Luo Jiujiang was about to leap up, but Han Qianling reacted and pressed Luo Jiujiang's shoulders, forcing him back to his seat.
Luo Cang took in all the actions of the two men. His face remained calm, his expression as if dead, and he said coldly, "Get out."
Those two words carried a weight of a thousand pounds. As soon as they fell, Han Qianling's body visibly staggered, as if being pulled sideways by an invisible force. Luo Jiujiang quickly reached out to grab Han Qianling, but was pinned to the chair by an extremely powerful and irresistible force, instantly unable to move.
The school was eerily quiet for a moment, with only a few teeth-grinding cracking sounds being heard. It turned out that the table top under Luo Jiujiang's palm had been crushed into tiny cracks by him.
Luo Jiujiang's muscles tensed, his eyes glaring, yet he couldn't move a single finger. Han Qianling gritted his teeth, resisting the overwhelming force with all his might so he could hold Luo Jiujiang's wrist and offer one final warning: "Calm down and listen carefully."
After saying this, Han Qianling turned his head and looked directly at Luo Cang, and said calmly: "Don't bother me, sir. I can walk out by myself."
Luo Cang glanced at Han Qianling indifferently: "It's a pity that a disabled person like me doesn't like others standing higher than me."
As soon as he finished speaking, the force exerted on Han Qianling suddenly doubled. The door opened and closed with a bang, and everyone in the school almost watched him being thrown out. A dull sound of landing could be heard faintly from outside the room.
Luo Cang picked up a slate pencil, turned his wheelchair, and wrote the words "Yin Sha" on the ink-painted wooden board. "Today we will talk about Yin Sha." He paid no attention to the eye contact between the people below. "I am not a very patient person. Those foolish and weak ones don't need to come to the next class."
The restraints on Luo Jiujiang finally loosened, and the desk beneath his palm snapped in two. The dull sound of the wood breaking was particularly eye-catching in the classroom.
"Listen to the class." Luo Cang repeated the words again. A hint of impatience etched in his expression, he tapped the lacquered board in front of him with his pale, withered knuckles.
————————
After class, a student named Luo Qi trotted all the way to the training ground where Luo Jiujiang and Han Qianling often practiced.
Luo Jiujiang had a good personality and was popular. Like now, as soon as the class ended, Luo Qi would rush over, braving the possibility of Han Qianling's wrath to report back.
"Brother Han." Luo Qi called out and secretly glanced at Han Qianling: there were some stains on his sleeves and knees, some faint bloodstains on his palms, a light layer of dust floated on his clothes, and a little sweat on his forehead, as if he had just had a fierce training.
This outfit wouldn't be a big deal on Luo Jiujiang, who was always restless and had a rather wild disposition. But it was a bit unusual on Han Qianling: everyone who had come into contact with him knew that not only was his personality bland and almost uninteresting, but even his clothing was unremarkable. Regardless of where he was, he always wore a simple, clean robe, neat and impeccable.
She is indeed angry. Luo Qi sighed inwardly and chose his words more carefully.
"Brother Han, Luo Ge was a little aggressive towards the teacher in class just now, and he's standing in the classroom as punishment. He asked me to tell you to bring him some food at noon."
Having said this, Luo Qi had actually prepared himself mentally for Han Qianling to become even more displeased and take his anger out on him. Unexpectedly, the other party simply nodded with an "expected" attitude and said calmly, "Excuse me, please pass on the message."
From the tone of his voice, he didn't seem angry. Luo Qi bravely glanced at Han Qianling's expression, but in the end, he couldn't see anything.
In reality, Han Qianling was always polite and courteous to others. While he wasn't as natural and approachable as Luo Jiujiang, he was completely different from the arrogant and domineering attitude of those dandy boys. Luo Qi couldn't explain why, but they were even more afraid of Han Qianling than they were of those dandy boys.
Han Qianling seems to have a natural sense of alienation. This alienation separates him from everyone else, and at the same time shows his difference from others at all times.
Only Luo Jiujiang is not that "other person".
Facing Luo Qi's gaze, Han Qianling reached into his chest and touched a small medicine box there.
In reality, Han Qianling wasn't angry about what had just happened. Compared to Luo Jiujiang's outright anger, he was more focused on pondering the deeper meaning behind his words.
Since childhood, due to his life experience, he had heard a lot of insults, some a hundred times worse than this. He was not so blinded by a single bad word.
But Han Qianling did know Luo Jiujiang very well; he understood the character of this friend who had shared his bed, food, and daily life with him for many years. Although Luo Jiujiang was usually playful and easygoing, he would lose his temper when faced with such an insult thrown in his friend's face.
Before being thrown out of the academy, Han Qianling had urged Luo Jiujiang to "calm down," but he hadn't anticipated what would happen next. Considering the high probability that Luo Jiujiang would face Luo Cang directly inside and be taught a lesson, Han Qianling climbed up from the ground outside the academy and, without wasting any time, headed for a cave.
