The shadow reappeared
Mu Mingyue was whipped more than a dozen times by the steward and was on the verge of death. The old lady ordered that Mu Mingyue be thrown into the ancestral hall and that no one was allowed to release her without her order.
Inside the ancestral hall, only a single candle flickered. Mu Mingyue knelt before the ancestral tablet, looking around fearfully. She felt as if a pair of eyes were watching her from behind. The more afraid she became, the more she hated Mu Zi'an. If it weren't for him, how could she be stuck in this dark and gloomy place? The wound on her back ached terribly. "Mu Zi'an, you wait! Once I get out, your good days will be over!" The shadow in the darkness watched Mu Mingyue's every move. "I have to thank her for everything. Otherwise, my strength wouldn't have recovered so quickly. Since you want to get out so badly, I'll go help you!"
The shadow approached Mu Mingyue, the candlelight casting a ghostly face. Mu Mingyue turned pale with fright and screamed, "Ah, a ghost!" The shadow slowly drew closer. "Do you want to get out? I can help you!" Hearing this, Mu Mingyue's eyes widened. "You really can help me get out?" The shadow nodded. In the darkness, a smile crept across its lips. The next second, it gripped Mu Mingyue's neck. Before Mu Mingyue could recover from her surprise, the shadow had her neck in its grasp. She looked utterly incredulous.
"Little friend, didn't your parents tell you not to trust strangers?" The words had barely left his lips when Mu Mingyue fell lifeless to the ground. The dark figure smiled at the unseeingly dead Mu Mingyue and said, "If you want my help, you have to pay a price!" It then possessed Mu Mingyue's body, stood up, and unleashed demonic energy. The ancestral hall door shattered instantly, and "Mu Mingyue" saw the long-lost sunlight. The guards of the manor surrounded "Mu Mingyue." Seeing this, the steward went to fetch Old Madam Mu. By the time Old Madam Mu arrived, the guards surrounding Mu Mingyue were already lying on the ground. Mu Mingyue looked at the Old Madam with a beaming smile, while the Old Madam's expression grew increasingly hostile. Mu Zi'an, having heard about this, wanted to come and see. Seeing Mu Mingyue's handiwork, Mu Zi'an frowned as he glanced at Mu Mingyue. Mu Mingyue looked at Mu Zi'an with interest and said, "Long time no see, little friend~"
Mu Zi'an stared emotionlessly at Mu Mingyue before him. Hearing the form of address, she frowned. The old lady shouted sternly, "Mu Mingyue, are you trying to rebel? You have no respect for family rules!" She then jabbed the ground three times with her cane. Mu Zi'an could feel the pressure emanating from a high-level spiritual cultivator. Mu Mingyue, however, smiled at the old lady, seemingly mocking her overestimation of her abilities. Seeing Mu Mingyue standing there unharmed, the old lady increased her pressure, but it seemed to have little effect. Mu Mingyue looked at them as if they were ants. With a gentle wave of her hand, the old lady collapsed to the ground, lifeless, like a kite with a broken string. Looking at the old lady lying on the ground, Mu Mingyue said, "Truly pathetic. I only used ten percent of my spiritual power, and it's already too much! Sigh, not enough fun yet, so boring!" She then looked at the standing guards and Mu Zi'an, who watched her warily. Mu Zi'an... She asked, "You're not Mu Mingyue. Mu Mingyue isn't this strong. Who are you?" 'Mu Mingyue' appeared in front of Mu Zi'an in a flash, staring at him for a while. Mu Zi'an felt uneasy under her gaze, unsure of her intentions. 'Mu Mingyue' stared for a moment, then suddenly burst into laughter, as if she had discovered something amusing. She leaned closer and said something to Mu Zi'an, who stared at her in shock. Su Jinxi happened to witness this scene, watching a woman approach Mu Zi'an's face, seemingly giving him a kiss. Mu Zi'an didn't refuse; it was quite a sight to behold! He quickly walked over and pulled Mu Zi'an into his arms. He stared intently at "Mu Mingyue," afraid she might do something worse, because he sensed her lust for Mu Zi'an. But An'an could only be his; no one else could covet her…
"Mu Mingyue" glanced at Su Jinxi and left. Meanwhile, the Second Madam, unaware that "Mu Mingyue" was no longer her biological daughter, went to the First Madam, hoping she would plead for her daughter. The First Madam, of course, refused, saying, "Don't be stubborn. If you agree now, I can make you suffer less!"
Seeing that the First Madam was determined not to agree, the Second Madam ruthlessly forced Mu Shi into her courtyard. A maidservant beside her glanced at her mistress, walked straight to Mu Shi, and slapped her across the face. The Second Madam, haughty and arrogant, walked over to Mu Shi, looking down at the kneeling woman, and said viciously, "Since you're so unwilling, then I'll let you experience what it means to wish you were dead!" She then turned to the hesitant servants, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up and do it! The Master doesn't care whether he lives or dies, what are you all hesitating for?"
Hearing the Second Madam's words, the servant glanced at Mu Shi on the ground. Although she was not favored, she was truly stunningly beautiful. Everyone who looked at Mu Shi couldn't help but feel greed and desire. The Second Madam looked at the expressions of everyone present, then at Mu Shi on the ground, and left with a look of disdain.
The servants, watching their master leave, grew increasingly lustful. Seeing their expressions, Mu Shi knew what they were up to. She panicked more and more, inching backward, trying to escape this hellish situation. The servants, of course, wouldn't let her escape; they pressed closer. Mu Shi retreated to a corner, realizing she had nowhere to run. One of the servants suddenly pounced on her, hastily stripping off his clothes. Mu Shi tried to push the man away, but two more men grabbed her hands and feet. The man on top of her watched as he slowly undressed her. She panicked; she tried to break free, but how could they give her a chance?
She glared with disgust at the dog-like man clinging to her, kissing and nibbling at her neck, and at the man who had bound her hands and feet, assuming she was powerless to resist and thus releasing her. But she hadn't expected her to pull out her hairpin. With a fierce glint in her eyes, she stabbed it into the man's flesh. The man, wincing in pain, released her, glaring menacingly at the woman who had just hurt him. "Your claws are sharp!" The words were barely out of his mouth when the sound of breaking bones was heard. The man looked down at the shepherdess trembling in pain and added, "Your claws are broken, let's see what else you want to do."
A sense of despair flashed through the shepherd's heart. She had never imagined that woman would be so ruthless as to use such a method to deal with her. Well, being with that person meant they were all birds of a feather.
Just as she was in despair, the door was flung open, and the man on top of her was kicked away. She opened her eyes and saw it was her son. "Who is it, ruining my good time!" one of the men said, turning his head angrily towards the door. Mu Zi'an kicked open the door and saw his mother lying on the ground, her clothes disheveled. Enraged, he kicked the man away and grabbed another man by the neck.
"How dare you! You've forgotten who you are! Whoever touches her today will not leave this room!" Everyone present was intimidated by Mu Zi'an's aura. They all knelt on the ground, trembling, begging Mu Zi'an to spare them. They also pointed out that it was the Second Madam who ordered them to do this, and they were just following orders.
Mu Zi'an coldly stared at the people kneeling on the ground, and sneered, "What a fine excuse! You're just following orders. If you had no selfish desires, why would you commit such insubordination? Or do you think I'll let you go? You're delusional!" Those kneeling on the ground sensed the killing intent emanating from Mu Zi'an. They tried to escape, but it was too late. The killing intent surged, blood flowed everywhere, no one survived, and every face was filled with terror…
When Su Jinxi rushed back, there was already blood everywhere, and Mu Zian's eyes were filled with murderous intent. He seemed to be surrounded by demonic energy, showing signs of being possessed by a demon.
