(8 Fresh Coins) Chapter 1 (Part 2) Frozen Flower

An hour later, Si Qiang arrived at Madam Samantha's house. He slowly walked to the door, took a deep breath, and then stepped into the hall. After greeting the hostess, he began to discreetly observe his surroundings. Unfortunately, as the young master of the Fuqing Gang, his fame was considerable—various factions were eyeing this beautiful young master, and he couldn't escape. When he finally had a chance to be alone, he found it quite difficult to find anyone in such a place. Having no other choice, he finally had to casually ask the doorman.

"Ah, you mean Mr. Xu Qi from New York?" Upon hearing this, the waiter thought carefully for a moment, then finally slapped his forehead, "He just left."

What? Si Qiang's mind went blank, and only one thought remained in her mind: That person is already gone?

"Sir..." The waiter noticed his pale face and was about to ask if he needed help when he suddenly felt a cold wind brush against his cheek. When he looked again, Si Qiang was nowhere to be seen.

He rushed out in a moment of impulsiveness, only to find himself in an unfamiliar courtyard with a few scattered people. He quickly scanned the area and realized that the person he was looking for wasn't there. Undeterred, he circled the parking lot, but still couldn't find him—Xu Qi had owned every car; there was no way he wouldn't recognize him.

"Rose?" A clear, pleasant male voice came from behind, and footsteps gradually approached. "So you're here too."

Si Qiang suddenly turned around, staring at the man walking towards her, her eyes narrowing.

"I knew you'd come." Shao Yang approached him, looked him over carefully, and then smiled. "You've changed a lot in the year since I last saw you."

Si Qiang was taken aback, then slowly curled the corners of her lips into a smile: "Oh? What's changed?"

"Hey, enough of that, come with me." Shao Yang winked and smiled mysteriously. "Don't tell me you don't want to see someone."

"Mr. Xu..." With his charming and handsome face and endearing physique, the black-haired oriental beauty attracted countless eyes. He was completely unaware of this, his bright eyes only seeing the handsome man beside him, clinging tightly to the man's strong arm.

This was Mrs. Samantha's main hall, and their actions were quite conspicuous. Xu Qi frowned as he walked out.

A few minutes earlier, he had been exchanging pleasantries with various factions, his smile freezing completely when he saw the handsome young man rapidly approaching. Before coming here, he knew he would inevitably encounter various troubles. The biggest trouble, of course, was the man who had left him a year ago. But he forgot that man's younger brother was no pushover either—in another sense.

As expected, the handsome young man, oblivious to the stares around him, sidled up to him and wouldn't let go. Those with a keen eye recognized him as Merlin, the son of the infamous "Iron-Fisted Lady" Si Wan, and quickly made excuses to leave. Si Wan was already known for her decisive and ruthless actions, and in the past year, her husband, Mei Yuanzhi, had risen from a representative of the Chang Le Society branch to its president, almost entirely thanks to her methods, making him extremely feared by various factions. Si Wan was also notoriously protective of her own, and this young master had caused his share of trouble, each time requiring his domineering mother to smooth things over—naturally, everyone kept their distance from him.

As a gay man, being relentlessly pursued by such a handsome young man should have been quite enjoyable—not to mention that the young man's appearance was exactly Xu Qi's type. Unfortunately, Xu Qi had no interest in enjoying this romantic encounter at the moment. His mind was completely occupied by the thought that "Si Qiang might be here too," and the young man's persistence was truly remarkable; he couldn't shake him off no matter what. After all, the other person was just a child, and given his status and the occasion, he couldn't really resort to violence. Frustrated, he simply left and returned to his hotel suite.

Upon entering the room, Xu Qi could no longer bear it and flung his hand away, heading straight into the bathroom, leaving the other person outside the glass door.

"Mr. Xu... please don't ignore me..." Merlin stumbled from the impact, looked up, and immediately rushed to the glass door, pleading in a soft voice, "I just want to stay by your side a little longer, I'll be back soon! Please..."

Veins throbbed on his forehead as Xu Qi stood by the sink, letting out a heavy sigh. He never expected to be entangled in such trouble. After all, he hadn't seen Merlin for a year, and he figured the boy, being young and carefree, should have forgotten him long ago.

"Please... Mr. Xu... Waaah..." Seeing that he did not respond, the boy outside the door still refused to give up, but his voice gradually became tearful, and finally he simply sobbed.

He was overjoyed to finally see Xu Qi, but the other party's reaction was even colder than before. Now, he didn't even want to see him. Thinking of this, he could no longer control his tear ducts, and the tears just wouldn't stop.

Young love is simple, yet fragile. Merlin liked Xu Qi very much, but he didn't know how to express his feelings properly, nor did he understand that unrequited love was the norm in this world. Overwhelmed with grievances, he finally slid down to the door and wept bitterly.
