(8 Fresh Coins) Chapter 26 (Part 1) Cruel
When he suddenly turned around, Si Qiang was startled and stared at him blankly.
"Don't talk nonsense." Xu Qi stared at the stunned man, his brows slowly furrowing. He had already sensed that something was amiss. He had originally thought that Si Qiang was more gentle and sensible than Xu Yi, but now he realized that the reality was not as he had imagined. This child's temperament seemed mild and harmless, but the stubbornness in her bones was exactly the same as Xu Yi's.
“I’ve dreamt about it before…” Si Qiang realized what she was doing, lowered her head to avoid his gaze, and her voice gradually became calm, as if she was deliberately hiding something. “You smiled at me and told me ‘I like you’ and ‘I love you.’ The first time, I was so happy. After I woke up, I thought I would never be so happy again. But this time, I think I got a little carried away. I’m sorry…”
"That's enough." Xu Qi interrupted him in a deep voice, which, though hoarse, still carried the same imposing air as before. "Raise your head."
Si Qiang trembled, but stubbornly refused to look up, only quickening her pace as she continued, "I was overthinking it. It's really nothing. I'm used to it..."
His words were cut short by the man's firm lips, which covered his face. He remained motionless, staring wide-eyed at Xu Qi's magnified handsome face.
She gently closed her upper and lower teeth, but couldn't bring herself to bite too hard. She bit the man's soft lower lip and then let go. Xu Qi raised an eyebrow slightly: "Does it hurt?"
"It hurts..." Si Qiang subconsciously reached up to touch her bitten lower lip, her eyes gradually brightening, "It's not a dream..."
Xu Qi couldn't bear to watch any longer and reached out to brush his eyelids away: "Then go to sleep quickly."
"Mmm..." Si Qiang obediently closed her eyes, but her hands and feet wrapped around him tightly, leaving no gaps.
Xu Qi reflexively tried to move, but couldn't budge him an inch. After thinking for a moment, he let him be. Consider it a reward for him sleeping obediently. Glancing affectionately at the handsome face almost pressed against his own, Xu Qi unconsciously curled the corners of his mouth into a smile.
He was vulnerable, and he pretended to be strong; either way, it broke his heart. Xu Qi knew he was doomed. He had allowed such a weakness to fester, and it was becoming more and more fatal every day.
For the next few days, Si Qiang followed Xu Qi everywhere, almost never leaving his side. For the first two days, Xu Qi was temporarily absent from work due to "special reasons." After Xu Yi, unusually, personally called Xu Qi to offer to temporarily handle some miscellaneous tasks, Xu Qi, even if he pretended to be calm, had no face to object anymore.
Si Qiang was extremely grateful to Xu Yi and took meticulous care of Xu Qi. When Xu Qi had recovered, he even followed Xu Qi to work without any hesitation. Although he did not participate in the gang's affairs, he stayed by Xu Qi's side, serving him tea and water, and acting as his personal assistant.
Given Xu Qi's personality, he certainly couldn't accept such behavior. However, he knew why Si Qiang was acting this way. Precisely because he understood, he refrained from speaking out. He didn't say anything, and Si Qiang didn't say anything either; the two of them tacitly understood each other for a week.
That night, Xu Qi took a shower and got into bed, closing his eyes with his back to the door. After a while, Si Qiang, still damp, climbed up to him, pressing herself against his back and wrapping her arms and legs around him as usual. Her warm, wet lips lingered behind his ear, lightly kissing the back of his neck and earlobe.
Xu Qi flinched sensitively, then gritted his teeth, resolutely resisting the man's temptation. In fact, ever since his recovery, Si Qiang had made suggestive moves at such times. At first, he could respond slightly, and they could stop short of it. But he knew Si Qiang was never satisfied. The evidence was the hard object that constantly rubbed restlessly against his thighs and hips. And after their intimacy, Si Qiang would quietly go to the bathroom to shower while he closed his eyes to sleep.
He knew that young men in their early twenties often had strong and uncontrollable desires, especially since Si Qiang had only recently experienced sexual pleasure and was already quite adept at it. Moreover, it was impossible to remain unmoved when faced with the one he loved—Xu Qi was no exception. However, he really didn't want to go that far for the time being. The thought of doing so made his buttocks ache slightly; her astonishing stamina and desire made him hesitant, and he didn't have the courage to challenge her again. Even so, when Si Qiang finally couldn't resist and explicitly asked him for sex the night before last, he reluctantly agreed. They did it once with restraint, and Si Qiang also consciously stopped—of course, it wasn't possible to satisfy him, but for now, that was all they could do.
Last night was peaceful (or rather, seemingly peaceful), and Xu Qi wisely refrained from provoking him. Tonight, he went to bed early, pretending to be asleep with his back to the other, precisely because he didn't want to lose control again. Actually, there was more to his reason for persisting like this; he knew there were bigger problems between them.
—But Si Qiang couldn't resist after all. Xu Qi sighed inwardly, clenched his fist, and turned to face him decisively.
"Go back tomorrow." Looking steadily at Si Qiang, Xu Qi's voice was calm and composed, completely detached from the ambiguous atmosphere at the moment.
