☆、(8 Fresh Coins) White Valentine's Day (1)

Closing the last document, Xu Qi wearily rubbed his temples. He had been working on an important contract for almost a month, returning home late at night almost every day and then struggling to get up early in the morning. He finally finished it all today.

He glanced at the electronic calendar: March 14th. He stared blankly at the numbers for a while, his mind too preoccupied with the data to immediately switch to anything else. Besides, this matter was somewhat beyond his usual way of thinking—too sentimental, too romantic, leaving him almost at a loss.

Five minutes ago, when he took the last document from Wei Lan, he told him that he could go back and rest. Then, his capable assistant smiled at him with a malicious grin: "Young Master, today is White Valentine's Day, shouldn't you do something to celebrate?"

His immediate reaction was to glance at the other person expressionlessly, then lower his head to continue reading the documents, showing no intention of answering the question. Wei Lan, who hadn't expected any reaction anyway, pursed his lips, sighed inwardly, and after feeling immense sympathy for the poor man, quickly slipped away—of course, he had to be fast; his darling Xiao Lan was waiting for him! Just thinking about the surprise his romantic and sexy lover would give him, and the subsequent ecstasy, made him feel like he was melting.

Watching his assistant dash out like a whirlwind, his impatient manner made Xu Qi chuckle. He quickly glanced at the summary report, but the issues he had just deliberately avoided inevitably occupied his thoughts.

Speaking of Valentine's Day, Si Qiang gave him a watch, a perfume, and... a piece of clothing. Thinking of that piece of clothing, Xu Qi's expression quickly became complicated. Giving clothes wasn't the problem; the issue was, it couldn't even be called clothes! A few strands of pink lace and semi-transparent fabric made up the legendary—naked apron. He clearly remembered that after opening the package, his face was frozen stiff. Then, under Si Qiang's uneasy gaze, he decisively closed the box and calmly tossed it into the trash can.

When a man gives himself something like this, his intentions are crystal clear.

Originally, giving an apron would have been somewhat useful. They were both busy most of the time, and meals were usually prepared by servants when they ate out. When they both had free time, he would cook. He used to cook often for his younger brother, and now that he had a lover, he naturally wouldn't neglect her stomach. As for Si Qiang, he could cook, but his skills were truly appalling, making one wonder how he had managed to survive in the slums.

However, Xu Qi couldn't accept this "apron" so readily. And Si Qiang, who had given him such a thing, was particularly infuriating. He threw it away in front of her without a word, purely to vent his anger. But that evening, seeing Si Qiang smiling and kissing him as usual, saying "Goodnight," he began to regret it.

Ultimately, it's not entirely Si Qiang's fault. Si Qiang had only originally given him a watch and perfume, with no intention of bringing out that damned apron. It was he who, while opening the wardrobe, saw the box next to Si Qiang's clothes, casually opened it, and saw that thing—knowing Si Qiang as he did, he knew the man was clearly interested, but understanding her nature, he ultimately didn't give it to her.

The next day, he still picked up the box and put it in his private storage room.

He glanced at the new watch on his wrist and stood up. It was five in the afternoon; he should still have time to buy a gift. White Valentine's Day, supposedly a day for returning Valentine's Day gifts. Although he was clearly not very romantic, he decided to go anyway. After all, he had been busy for almost a month, barely having time to spend with Si Qiang, and he should do something to make up for it.

Pushing open the door, Xu Qi immediately knew that Si Qiang hadn't returned yet. He placed the bag he was carrying on the coffee table and pondered for a moment. He'd bought Si Qiang's favorite brand of tie and red wine, so cooking a meal now seemed like a good option. He quickly took off his coat, went into the kitchen, and grabbed his usual apron. Just as he was about to tie it, he suddenly stopped.

Apron... Damn it! Xu Qi's face turned pale and then flushed, and the hand holding the apron gradually tightened its grip.

An hour later, Si Qiang finally got off work and opened the door. The lights in the living room and kitchen were on; he knew his lovely lover was cooking for him. Noticing the bag on the coffee table, Si Qiang was both surprised and uneasy: Could this be a response to him? Did the man remember what day it was? No, no, how could a man have such romantic thoughts? Perhaps he had finished the contract and wanted to relax?

Regardless of whether it was a Valentine's Day gift or not, he was still very happy. They'd been busy with their own things for almost a month, and finally they could have a proper meal together. Thinking of this, Si Qiang quietly walked towards the kitchen. He didn't want to disturb her; he wanted to savor this rare moment of happiness. Doing nothing, just watching his seemingly cold but actually more tender-hearted lover cook for him—this feeling captivated him.

Si Qiang tiptoed to the kitchen doorway and cautiously peeked inside. Then, he was completely stunned.
