Chapter 31 (Part 2) Goodbye
A man's voice suddenly sounded behind him. Lance was startled and reflexively turned around, his face showing an offended expression and his voice filled with obvious annoyance: "Don't you think it's very rude to say such things to people like that... Ugh... What brings you here?" If the light had shone on his face at that moment, it would have revealed his face full of ghostly terror. His originally light brown face had instantly turned frighteningly white, as if it had been painted with a layer of white paint.
"Is it because I revealed your thoughts... um?" Shao Yang put his hand on Lance's shoulder, his fingers digging into his flesh, his voice becoming softer and softer. If he and Lance hadn't been so close, they wouldn't have been able to hear him at all.
That "Hmm?" sounded like a demonic whisper to Lance. He instinctively wanted to back away, even turning to Antonio, hoping his unreliable cousin could lend a hand at this crucial moment. Ever since the "drunken incident" (see the side story for details), Shao Yang had strictly forbidden him from coming here alone. Tonight was the store's fifth anniversary celebration, and thinking his cousin was in a bad mood, he invited him here. He didn't let Shao Yang know, because Shao Yang harbored deep resentment towards his cousin and would provoke him at the slightest provocation. Antonio's troublemaking nature only exacerbated their conflict. Tonight, Shao Yang said he had to work overtime, so he came without worry, never expecting his cousin to show up at this crucial moment—it was a complete disaster.
"Uh...you guys chat, I just saw a nice young man over there, excuse me." Antonio paused for a moment, then immediately waved his hand, moving towards the front of the stage as he spoke, abandoning his dear cousin without a second thought. He was joking, of course; he'd be fine with hanging out with this playboy normally, but getting him involved in this mess now was no joke. He was already annoyed enough tonight; he didn't want to face a jealous husband who was practically drinking a vat of vinegar!
"Hey! You?!" Lance couldn't believe the other person had just slipped away—he knew his cousin was unreliable, but he hadn't expected him to be this unreliable!
"Can't bear to part with your dear cousin?" Shao Yang twisted his wrist, gripping the back of his neck tightly, pulling him so close to his face that it was almost impossible to get any closer. His thin lips parted slightly, and you could practically see the chilling glint reflected between his clenched teeth. "So, when you say 'just wandering around,' you mean hanging out with other men, drooling over strippers' asses? Can you tell me what the connection is between these two things?"
Lance was sweating profusely. He explained in a low voice, "No, that guy officially broke up with his girlfriend today. I just felt sorry for him, so I brought him here to relax! You see, today's the store's anniversary..." He was just going to leave like that, Antonio, you just wait! He gritted his teeth, wishing he could grab that heartless cousin and beat him up right then and there, but the current situation didn't allow it—
Shao Yang chuckled softly, turning his head to whisper gently into the man's left ear, but the words sent chills down his spine: "You really like it here... Yeah, that guy on stage is pretty hot... Are you already wet? Want to be fucked, right? If I violated you here... and someone saw you being fucked by a man... wouldn't you cry tears of joy?"
Lance flinched, instinctively glancing around. Luckily, the surroundings were still noisy, and no one noticed them. Then he stared at Shao Yang, his eyes filled with disbelief: "What are you talking about? I just came to help!"
Before he could finish speaking, he felt a hard pinch on his butt. He quickly turned around and saw it was his former colleague, Xiao Jie. Seeing him turn around, Xiao Jie winked mischievously at him: "You're already here? Got to see the show?"
...Lance really wanted to cry. Why is he adding to the chaos at a time like this? Xiao Jie, can you stop being so naive? He didn't want to look at Shao Yang's expression anymore.
“Yeah… they’re all so high they can’t wait to have some fun right away.” Shao Yang chimed in at the right moment, and then Lance felt his arm being gripped tightly and forced to push out of the crowd.
"Damn it!" Lance cried out inwardly, but could only let the enraged man roughly drag him out.
Left behind, a bewildered Xiao Jie watched the two figures leave, and it took him a while to realize that Lance had been dragged away by his lover. "Did I do something wrong?" he muttered to himself, turning to walk back, when a man bumped his shoulder forcefully. He was about to complain when the man turned to him with a warm, gentle smile, accompanied by a soothing voice: "I'm sorry, are you alright?"
Xiao Jie stared blankly at the bespectacled, refined man before him, his mouth agape, unable to utter a word. What a handsome man… To find such a high-quality beauty in a place like this stirred something within Xiao Jie's long-dormant heart.
Seeing that he seemed to be alright, the man smiled apologetically again and continued walking forward. By the time Xiao Jie realized what had happened, the handsome man had already disappeared into the crowd and could no longer be found.
"Excuse me, sir, may I sit next to you?" The man noticed Antonio sitting in the corner, slowly walked over, and extended an invitation with a smile.
Antonio was sitting in a corner, drinking alone with a sullen face, when he suddenly heard a man's voice beside him. He turned his head impatiently: "Didn't I tell you I'm not interested in you?"
