Chapter 1 From the Mountains
Quan Zhisui has never understood why the rich people in TV dramas all live together as a family. No matter how big the house is, there is no privacy!
Now she knew why.
"Miss Suisui, this is your room." Nanny Gu Lan brought her to the door.
The door of the room turned out to be a double door with two leaves on the left and right, which was larger than the entrance door of an ordinary house.
Pushing the door open, you will see a living room similar to a living room, with sofas and a TV. After entering, there are two rooms on both sides. On the left is the bathroom with a washing and drying set, and on the right is the bedroom.
Gu Lan pointed to the bathroom and said, "Just throw your usual clothes in the dirty clothes basket. I will come to clean it every day, wash and dry it for you, and keep it clean and hygienic. I won't mix your clothes with other people's clothes."
She was being polite, but she was actually euphemistically teaching the details of life in a wealthy family.
There are no privacy issues.
Quan Zhisui nodded knowingly, turned right and walked into the bedroom.
The bedroom is luxurious, with a walk-in closet, a dressing table and a whole row of large wardrobes. Each cabinet has a black walnut main board with brown glass doors. It looks new but empty.
Quan Zhisui was glad that he brought clothes with him.
All of the above are the rooms of a standard wealthy lady, which are large enough to be equivalent to a small house and are fully equipped.
Gu Lan smiled warmly: "Your grandparents are not in Liangxi City these days. Mr. and Mrs. have a dinner party tonight. It's uncertain when they will be back, but your brother will be out of school at 5:30."
"Yeah..." Quan Zhisui responded indifferently.
Her father and stepmother, whom she had never met, took great pains to bring her from the mountains, but when she got home, no one greeted her.
Quite interesting.
Gu Lan continued, "I am here to take care of you and your brother's daily life. You can come to me for any matters concerning your life. Master Zichen's room is right next to yours."
There are a total of four suites on the second floor. The two guest rooms on the right are currently vacant, and the two on the left are occupied by Quan Zhisui and Zuo Zichen.
Her half brother whom she had never met...
"What grade is Zuo Zichen in?" she asked.
Gu Lan: "Master Zichen is 16 this year, one year younger than you, and he just entered the first year of high school."
Quan Zhisui raised an eyebrow. In fact, she hadn’t even turned 17 yet. The age difference between Zuo Zichen and her was…
Very subtle.
Before this, she knew very little about her life experience. She only knew that her mother died of severe hemorrhage when giving birth to her. After coming to Liangxi City, she learned that her biological father was very rich, her grandparents were still alive, and she had a stepmother and a younger brother.
Gu Lan glanced at the time: "Please take a rest first. I'll prepare afternoon tea for you. Do you have any dietary restrictions?"
Quan Zhisui touched his sunken belly and said, "I don't have any dietary restrictions, but I want to eat three bowls of noodles."
"What, what?" Gu Lan looked at Quan Zhisui's thin figure and was so surprised that she stuttered, which was a rare occurrence.
Quan Zhisui explained sincerely: "I used to consume a lot in the mountains and eat a lot. My body has become accustomed to it. There are too few things on the plane and I didn't eat enough."
Yunyang City is one thousand kilometers away from Liangxi City. She was not in Yunyang City before, but lived in the mountains. She set out in the early morning, came out of the mountains, took a car and then went to the airport. She really didn't eat enough and was hungry all day.
Gu Lan opened her mouth: "Oh... OK."
Quan Zhisui was worried and asked again: "After afternoon tea, will there be dinner?"
Gu Lan: "Of course there is dinner."
Quan Zhisui breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid that wealthy families would have too many rules.
After she felt relieved, she walked to the sofa. She was not used to riding in a car or a plane, and being here was even more uncomfortable. She really needed a good rest, mentally.
Gu Lan had already retreated to the door, but suddenly thought of something and turned back and said, "Oh, by the way, Miss Sui Sui, you can use your own room as you like. Everything here is prepared for you, but the other rooms..."
"I know, I won't wander around." Quan Zhisui said.
Gu Lan smiled, closed the door when she left, and went downstairs to the kitchen to prepare food.
As the double doors closed, Quan Zhisui finally relaxed completely, falling onto the sofa and looking at the ceiling.
Well, even the ceiling looks luxurious.
After two minutes of silence, Quan Zhisui sat up, took out his cell phone and dialed a number.
This was the smartphone that her master had bought for her the night before she left. Before that, she had no communication equipment and had only played with the cell phones of her fellow practitioners.
The person on the other end of the phone answered immediately: "Sui Sui, are you here?"
"Well..." Quan Zhisui's voice was weak.
The other party was silent for a few seconds and asked, "Don't you like it there?"
Quan Zhisui was very depressed: “Yeah.”
The other party sighed and said, "Be good, Sui Sui, don't worry about other things. Just study hard, and when you are an adult, you won't need a guardian anymore."
"Senior Brother Ziyin..." Quan Zhisui thought for a moment and asked, "Can you come and see me?"
Ziyin: "I will tell Master after some time."
"Okay." After hanging up the phone, Quan Zhisui felt better and got up to take a shower.
After taking a shower, Quan Zhisui changed into the coarse linen clothes she brought with her. Now that it was autumn, she wore a single layer of long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and cloth shoes.
At this time, Gu Lan cooked the noodles and called her to the restaurant.
On the huge dining table, there were three bowls of different noodles: Yangchun, meat sauce, and shrimp. It was obvious that Gu Lan was really taking care of the children of her employer.
Quan Zhisui was silent again, and was glad that she said three bowls instead of one. The amount of noodles was different from what she had eaten before. It was really just a small bowl.
It’s true that people from Jiangnan have small appetites!
Quan Zhisui was extremely hungry and wolfed down the three bowls quickly, leaving not even a drop of soup.
Gu Lan looked at Quan Zhisui with some pity: "The food in the mountains is not good, right?"
Otherwise, how could he be so thin? He is so skinny that it looks like he has no meat at all, only bones. And this clothes, it's turned white and has ties after being washed, but I'm still wearing it. It's autumn now, and such thin clothes are definitely not warm.
Gu Lan sighed, thinking that the child had suffered in the mountains before, and now that he was brought back, he would probably continue to suffer.
Quan Zhisui shook his head: "The food in the mountains is pretty good."
Can eat enough.
Gu Lan patted her hands: “The chef knows you are coming today and will cook a big meal tonight.”
Quan Zhisui looked at the three empty bowls and nodded despite his hunger.
Three to six o'clock in the afternoon on weekdays is the time for her to practice basic skills, one hour of three-body stance, one hour of physical training, and one hour of confrontation training.
But now…
She still wasn't full. With insufficient energy, was it okay to skip practicing for a day occasionally?
So Quan Zhisui returned to the room, stretched on the floor and began to meditate, trying to use the cross-legged method to draw his energy inward and reduce his hunger.
But she really couldn't help it and she sat there crying.
Although practicing is hard, the master is strict and the brothers are fierce, but at least life in the mountains is free, happy and self-sufficient.
This was the first time she was hungry in her 17 years of life!
