Chapter 2
The two hugged each other for a long time, and seeing that Lu Bai had no intention of letting go, Zhang Xiaotian reached out and pushed him.
"That's enough. The others will come back soon and see what's going on with us hugging each other."
Lu Bai released his hand and pulled him to sit on a stool. There was a bag of fried mushrooms on the table.
"When did you develop the habit of eating other people's food?" Zhang Xiaotian threw the bag into the trash can and took a piece of paper to wipe his hands.
"It's obvious that it's yours. You're not someone else." Lu Bai picked up the little fat dog from the corner of the table and fiddled with it. "Only our Tian'er would keep such an ugly thing and protect it so well. Even the flower on its belly is still there."
That couldn't be wiped off anyway. Zhang Xiaotian reached out to grab the puppy and put it back on the corner of the table.
"What's the matter? Are you angry because someone said your puppy is ugly?" Lu Baijian leaned over to look at Zhang Xiaotian's face, but was pushed away by Zhang Xiaotian.
"I don't remember you saying you wanted to study inspection." Zhang Xiaotian asked him.
"Ah, this..." Lu Bai chuckled, "I never said that, but I didn't know what to study anyway. I thought this would be easier to find a job, so I studied it."

It was as if he wasn't in the dorm at his new school, but back in his sophomore year of high school. Lu Bai was involved in everything he experienced that year, from going to and from school, to eating and walking.

Zhang Xiaotian roared silently in his heart after seeing Lu Bai come to the restaurant where he worked part-time to eat alone for who knows how many times.
If this guy has nothing better to do, why not join some clubs and play basketball? Or go to the basketball court and play basketball. Maybe he can even find a girlfriend. Why does he come here to eat every day?
He walked over and knocked on the table.
"Here you are, Tian'er! I've made my choice. I'm going to eat this today..."
"You eat out every day, are you afraid that you won't gain weight?" Zhang Xiaotian didn't respond.

There weren't many people in the restaurant today. "If you have nothing to do, go play basketball with the people on the playground, or join a couple of clubs. It's better than eating here every day." Zhang Xiaotian kicked the stones on the roadside. "If you come here every day, my boss will know you."
"As for the club, we'll talk about it later." Lu Bai stretched lazily, "I'm not interested in any of those for now."
He was interested in the shop just because he showed up every day? Zhang Xiaotian really wanted to knock his head open to see what he was thinking.
Now, we go to class together, eat together, and go back to the dormitory together after part-time get off work. It feels no different from high school.
Except that Zhang Xiaotian himself had a different mood.
He couldn't understand why Lu Bai did this, but he was also reluctant to give up his current life.

"If you don't let me go to work, then come travel with me!" Lu Bai said.

What kind of travel is this?
"Yes, travel, during the National Day holiday." Lu Bai put his arm around Zhang Xiaotian's shoulders. "I've thought about it. We won't go far. We can just stay in the next city for three days and two nights. It will be convenient for us to come back. What do you think?"
Seeing that Zhang Xiaotian didn't say anything, Lu Bai continued:
"Just follow me and don't worry about anything else. Just have fun. I've already prepared the guide and everything. Just do as we agreed..."
Zhang Xiaotian could no longer hear what Lu Bai was saying; his breath was filled with his scent. Perhaps it was because he had switched to a new laundry detergent; the smell was different from what he remembered. The unfamiliar aroma gave Zhang Xiaotian an inexplicable pang of pain, but he couldn't help but sniff it again.
“Why did you ask me to travel?”
"Of course it's you!" Lu Bai said.
"But you have other friends."
"But you're different." Lu Bai said firmly, "When traveling, I definitely have to find the person with the best connections. You're my best buddy!"
Before going to bed, Lu Bai covered his butt that was kicked by Zhang Xiaotian, and couldn't understand why Zhang Xiaotian was angry.
While in class, Lu Bai, who was sitting next to me, handed me a note.
If I were any closer, I'd be sitting in his arms. Why would I pass a note? Zhang Xiaotian was speechless for a moment. He opened the note and saw the words written in a flamboyant style: What's for lunch? He lowered his voice and said, "What are you doing? Why don't you just tell me directly?"
"I'm just reminiscing about our high school days. So what are you eating?"
"The cafeteria on the third floor." Zhang Xiaotian said without turning his head.
"Okay, let's run quickly later." Lu Bai put his schoolbag on his legs, ready to go as if he was going to the battle instead of the cafeteria.
What a fool, Zhang Xiaotian thought.
The moment the bell rang, Lu Bai pulled Zhang Xiaotian towards the back door, and the two of them were the first to leave the teaching building.
"Could you please not act like a starving ghost next time?" Zhang Xiaotian pulled Lu Bai to slow down. "The cafeteria won't go bankrupt if you go a little later."
"If we go earlier, we can eat earlier, so we don't have to fight with others for a place to eat." Lu Bai slowed down and put his arm on Zhang Xiaotian's shoulder. "That's great, Tian'er."
"Huh? What nonsense are you talking about?" Zhang Xiaotian asked.
"Just like now, we are together, whether it's going to eat, go to class, or anything else, it's all good, let's be together." Lu Bai said, suddenly jumped up and picked up a leaf to play with.
It's great. There's no better time than now. Don't think about anything else, just walk along the road with him. Zhang Xiaotian thought the same thing.
After they prepared their meal, they found a corner with few people around and started eating for a while.
"I'm going to buy a bottle of drink. You eat first." Lu Bai pointed to the store on the corner.
"Hmm." Zhang Xiaotian picked at the onions on his plate without looking up. Not long into his meal, he caught a glimpse of someone he didn't recognize standing next to him. He looked up and saw it was a girl.
"Hello, classmate. Does the boy you're having dinner with have a girlfriend?" The girl was too embarrassed to continue. After being nudged by the classmate who had instigated her to come, she continued, "Can I have his contact information?"
What should I do? Should I help Lu Bai refuse? Or should I take this opportunity to let Lu Bai...
"But..." Zhang Xiaotian had just taken out his mobile phone when a bottle of Coke was placed on the table with a "bang", scaring the two girls.
"Sorry, my roommate is single. You guys should find someone else, classmates." Lu Bai said with a sullen look as he sat down to eat. The girl who asked for the contact information was startled and took a step back. The girl who was with her also looked unhappy when she saw this. Zhang Xiaotian saw the two people's awkwardness and had to apologize on Lu Bai's behalf: "Sorry, he's not in a good mood."
After the two men left, Zhang Xiaotian looked at Lu Bai while eating.
"What are you looking at? You're staring through my face." Lu Bai said unhappily.
"Why are you angry?" Zhang Xiaotian asked him, "They came to ask for your contact information."
Lu Bai was stunned after hearing this: "You want mine?" He paused and muttered softly: "I don't date."
Was she so angry just because she didn't want to date? Zhang Xiaotian was even more baffled.
"If someone asks you for my WeChat in the future, don't give it to them." Lu Bai dug into the rice on his plate, chewed it, and asked vaguely, "What if someone asked for your WeChat? Would you give it to them?"
"Who would want my WeChat?" Zhang Xiaotian was even more puzzled. What was going on?
"I, what I mean is that your future partner must be approved by me, otherwise I won't feel at ease!" Lu Bai wanted to say something but stopped, and finally said this.
"Can you be less crazy every day?" Zhang Xiaotian gave up on guessing him and said, "Hurry up and eat."
After leaving the cafeteria and entering the dormitory, Xu Yan and Zhou Bin looked at them at the same time.
"Are we going out to eat in the dormitory this weekend?" Xu Yan asked.
"We all have our own things to do once school starts, so it's rare that we're all free on the weekends, so let's have a meal together." Zhou Bin explained, "Could it be that you two have something to do this weekend?"
"I'm fine, but you..." Lu Bai looked at Zhang Xiaotian, "How about we go to where you work and eat?"
"Okay." Zhang Xiaotian said.
