Lin Qingtong immediately realized what was happening and led the girl back.
Upon closer inspection, Lin Qingtong discovered that their clothes were cheap and lacked even armbands, clearly indicating they were counterfeit.
I was too flustered to look carefully just now, but now that I look closely, there are flaws everywhere.
Lin Qingtong took out her phone to call the police, but the other party slapped it away and approached her with a cold look in his eyes.
"Who told you to ruin our plans?"
The phone fell to the ground, and Lin Qingtong pointed the stun gun at them while retreating.
"Don't come any closer. You don't want to end up like your companions, lying on the ground, do you?"
“I arranged to meet my friend here, and he will be here soon.”
The other person glanced around and gave a cold smile.
"Stop lying, you don't have any friends here at all."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a joyful voice suddenly rang out.
"She wasn't lying, I am her friend."
The other person turned around and was met with a punch that knocked him unconscious.
His companions were the same.
The newcomer rubbed his wrist, raised an eyebrow at Lin Qingtong standing opposite him, and waved with a smile.
Hello, Lin Qingtong.
The newcomer was none other than William of the East, dressed in a black bespoke suit with sequins shimmering as he walked, and with the chest open, revealing his broad shoulders and narrow waist.
He exuded a deadly allure simply by standing there.
Lin Qingtong looked at Dongfang William in front of her, unsure whether to feel fortunate or afraid.
Fortunately, he saved me; what I fear is that he is even more terrifying than the other two.
She tried her best to remain calm, but instead feigned weakness and fear.
"Thank you, Mr. Dongfang, for saving me."
William stepped over the two people lying on the ground, stood in front of Lin Qingtong, put one hand in his pocket and leaned slightly forward.
His gaze swept over Lin Qingtong, filled with aggression and danger.
"You're much more interesting than I imagined, and your acting is really good."
She felt a chill run down her spine; it was not a good thing if Eastern William noticed her.
Her heart was pounding, but she still looked timid.
"I don't know what you're talking about, Mr. Dongfang."
Then she made an excuse to leave.
"I'll thank Mr. Dongfang another day. Today I need to take this young lady to the hospital."
William glanced at the semi-conscious girl, then waved his hand and a bodyguard in black stepped forward and gave her something to smell.
The little girl woke up immediately, looking at the scene before her with a sense of bewilderment and helplessness.
What happened?
Lin Qingtong explained the whole story to him.
The little girl immediately looked frightened and thanked Lin Qingtong.
"Thank you for saving me. How about we exchange contact information? I'll come to thank you in person another day."
Lin Qingtong glanced at her shattered phone, simply gave her number, and the young girl left her number before taking a taxi to the hospital.
Seeing that Dongfang William was not saying anything more, Lin Qingtong wanted to leave, but he called her back.
"Ms. Lin, I'll call you when I have time."
Lin Qingtong paused, turned around to look at him, her eyes filled with wariness.
Does this person want to investigate my phone number?
Then he heard William Dongfang say frankly, "Don't overthink it. I won't investigate someone rashly unless you've already agreed."
"As for why I called, it's because I just memorized your phone number."
Lin Qingtong then remembered that she had given the little girl her number earlier, and the girl probably took the opportunity to memorize it.
Lin Qingtong pursed her lips and looked at Dongfang William in front of her before speaking.
"Mr. Dongfang, thank you for today, but I have other matters to attend to, so I'll be leaving now."
She bent down to pick up her phone, but William picked it up first and shook it in his hand.
"If you want a cell phone, come to the Shen family's banquet tonight."
He smiled and continued, "Perhaps you're more interested in the memorial service?"
Lin Qingtong was somewhat speechless; no one would want to attend someone's funeral for no reason.
She looked at her phone, knowing that restoring the data on it would be no problem with William Dongfang's abilities.
But these things cannot fall into the hands of others; some are confidential company documents.
Others are chat logs between her and Shen Tinghe, which involve many other things.
Lin Qingtong looked at Dongfang William warily.
"Will you give my phone back if I go to a banquet?"
William put his phone in his suit pocket, lowered his eyes, and then looked up again with a smile.
"Of course, I keep my word."
Lin Qingtong remembered that he had indeed helped her earlier, so he shouldn't be such a scoundrel.
She agreed, "Okay, I'll attend the family dinner tonight as promised. Remember to have your phone ready."
Lin Qingtong didn't want to spend any more time with him.
She always felt that this person was strange, with a chilling aura emanating from him that sent shivers down her spine.
Lin Qingtong left as quickly as possible and went into the dress shop next door.
She peeked out and saw through the glass that William East was still standing there.
Seemingly noticing Lin Qingtong's gaze, Dongfang William gently waved to her.
Lin Qingtong's heart skipped a beat, and she looked away.
This person is absolutely not someone you should associate with.
At this moment, the shop assistant brought him a glass of warm water.
After drinking the water, Lin Qingtong felt a little better. After waiting for a while, Huo Xinlan finally appeared.
