Chapter 228 Are you satisfied now?

Just as William Dongfang was about to speak, Lin Qingtong said calmly.

"I'm sleepy, I want to go back and rest."

She left with a single sentence, then fluttered away from the garden like a butterfly.

She scoffed at what Eastern William was proud of.

From the moment William of the East used underhanded tactics to keep her here, she had already lost all affection for him.

This person is a devil, and there's no point in arguing with a devil.

William turned to look at Lin Qingtong's departing figure, his gaze darkening.

He was confident that he could make Lin Qingtong fall in love with him.

Back at the house, Lin Qingtong noticed that the group of people who had come to see her earlier had followed her without saying a word.

Wherever Lin Qingtong went, they followed.

They would only speak to remind Lin Qingtong if she went the wrong way; otherwise, they wouldn't say a word, as if they weren't even breathing.

Finally, Lin Qingtong turned around angrily, circled them for a moment, and asked unhappily.

"Don't you have your own thoughts?"

They didn't speak, but just smiled at Lin Qingtong with mechanical and emotionless expressions.

They were smiling, but it was chilling.

Lin Qingtong was taken aback. Did they need to use precise words for them to speak?

Where is your husband?

So the first one to stand up answered, "The gentleman is in the courtyard."

Lin Qingtong turned her head and glanced around; Dongfang William was indeed in the courtyard.

A chill ran down her spine. Were these servants robots? They were so incredibly realistic.

Just then, a masked maid came down from upstairs.

"Don't ask anymore, they've all been tamed and have no consciousness of their own."

Her voice was hoarse, like a broken bellows, but Lin Qingtong didn't notice anything wrong with it.

"Then what is your reason?" Lin Qingtong pressed.

The other person approached Lin Qingtong, revealing only their eyes, and answered calmly.

“I am different from them. I am semi-domesticated and still have my own consciousness. After a year, I should become like that too.”

Lin Qingtong stared intently at the other person and asked, "Do you remember your name?"

Just as the other party was about to speak, William of the East suddenly appeared.

What are you talking about?

The other person immediately lowered their head and stopped talking, pretending to be clueless and unaware of anything.

William walked up to Lin Qingtong, his gaze sweeping over the masked maid and the others.

"You may all step back."

Soon, only Lin Qingtong and Dongfang William remained in the room.

Lin Qingtong looked at Dongfang William warily, "What are you going to do?"

William grabbed Lin Qingtong's hand, smiled, and pulled her through a door.

The door creaked open, revealing a previously dark interior that was now dazzlingly bright once the lights were turned on.

Upon seeing everything inside, Lin Qingtong was stunned, never expecting that Dongfang William had hidden so many jewels.

Gemstones and diamonds of all colors, necklaces and rings of all kinds, and a host of designer bags and clothing.

This place seems to be an incredibly luxurious world.

Lin Qingtong pursed her lips and broke free from Dongfang William's grasp, coldly questioning, "What do you mean by this? What do you take me for?"

William from the East smiled and approached: "Since you don't like flowers, I'll prepare a diamond necklace and these for you. Do you like them?"

He gazed at Lin Qingtong with sparkling eyes, as if he could win her heart that way.

Lin Qingtong scoffed and shook her head in refusal.

"What I like is freedom. You have the guts to give me freedom."

William Dongfang frowned and said decisively.

"I can't give you freedom. Tell me what else you want, and I can give it to you."

"The women I used to like couldn't resist these jewels, and you must be the same way."

Lin Qingtong crossed her arms and gave a cold smile.

"I don't know what kind of 'vase' those women you liked before were. They couldn't even walk past these jewels, so you thought all women were so old-fashioned."

"If you really want to give me something, then let me meet my mother. I need to make sure she's safe."

After hesitating for a moment, William Dongfang finally agreed.

"I can let you see your mother, but you have to be obedient."

"Choose five sets of jewelry from here."

Lin Qingtong looked slightly helpless; why were there people who insisted on letting her choose the jewelry?

But if she wanted to see her mother, she had no choice but to do as William of the East instructed.

So Lin Qingtong casually picked out a few sets of jewelry, held them in her hands, and looked indifferently at Dongfang William in front of her.

Are you satisfied now?

William of the East smiled with satisfaction and nodded in agreement.

"Great, then go find some clothes to wear. I'll take you to see your mother tonight."

Finally, Lin Qingtong walked out with the necklace and bumped into the masked maid.

The maid stared at the necklace in Lin Qingtong's hand, stunned, and glared at Lin Qingtong with gritted teeth.

What she desperately wanted but could never obtain, Lin Qingtong easily got her hands on.

Lin Qingtong noticed the maid staring at her and curiously looked at her.

Why are you looking at me like that?

The maid immediately lowered her head and dared not speak, then reminded Lin Qingtong.

"If you want to leave, wait for me in the room in an hour."

Only Lin Qingtong could hear her voice.

For some reason, Lin Qingtong felt that the voice sounded very familiar, but she couldn't remember it because it was very hoarse and unpleasant.
