Chapter 229 My Father

Lin Jiaorui looked at the scene before her in shock and turned to Lin Qingtong.

"I was trying to help you, and you betrayed me."

Lin Qingtong slowly stepped forward and reached out to remove Lin Jiaorui's mask.

"Lin Jiaorui, you're still pretending even now. You don't actually think that after all these years, I wouldn't recognize you, do you?"

"From the first moment I saw you, I had a vague guess."

Upon hearing Lin Qingtong's words, Lin Jiaorui's expression immediately turned cold.

"Since you already know, why are you still putting on this act?"

Lin Qingtong smiled with interest.

"I just wanted to see what tricks you were going to play, but I didn't expect you to actually try to trick me into escaping."

"I bet you're waiting for me to climb over the wall so you can push me off, right?"

A hint of unease flashed across Lin Jiaorui's face. She neither admitted nor denied it.

Lin Qingtong had been outwitting her for so many years, how could she not see through her thoughts?

Lin Jiaorui's face immediately turned ugly, and she spoke through gritted teeth.

"Since you already know, why are you still playing along with my act?"

Lin Qingtong replied with a smile, "I just wanted to see how long you could keep this up, but you're really good at holding back."

"I thought you were really having a good time here at Eastern William's."

Her words were full of sarcasm.

If Lin Jiaorui hadn't plotted against her, Lin Qingtong would never have spoken like that.

Since the other party had attacked her, she didn't need to show any mercy.

Lin Jiaorui's face turned extremely ugly, and she retorted through gritted teeth.

"It's all because of you that I've become like this."

She lunged directly at Lin Qingtong, her sharp nails aimed at her face, as if she wanted to scratch her face the next second and vent her anger.

But William Dongfang was faster, blocking Lin Jiaorui and punching her against the wall, his eyes filled with coldness.

"Who gave you permission to touch her?"

Lin Jiaorui collapsed against the wall and coughed up a mouthful of blood.

She glared at Lin Qingtong indignantly, "You're nothing but a bastard, you don't even have the surname Lin. How dare you stay in our Lin family? One day I'll make you regret it."

"Your mother is a shameless slut. She's married but still goes around having affairs and got pregnant with someone else's bastard child."

Hearing her call her a bastard repeatedly, Lin Qingtong smiled coldly, stepped forward, grabbed her collar, and spoke coldly.

"You probably don't know this, but it was all done by your mother, Shen Xue. She drugged Lin Yan, which is why you were born."

“My mother was rescued and narrowly escaped death; otherwise, you would have destroyed her long ago.”

"Since you keep calling me a bastard, then I'll just tell you straight: I'm taking back the villa that I gave to the Lin family. You can forget about living there anymore; it's my maternal grandfather's property."

Lin Jiaorui glared angrily at Lin Qingtong and retorted, "Don't even think about that house being ours."

William from the East said, "Instead of worrying about whether you have a house, you should worry about whether you can leave here alive."

"Oh dear, the flowers in my garden haven't been as vibrant lately."

Upon hearing this, Lin Jiaorui was immediately terrified and stared in horror at Dongfang William in front of her.

This man is a devil.

Then she looked at Lin Qingtong and gave a cold smile before speaking.

“William of the East is a devil; you can’t escape his grasp.”

"If I really die, how will you escape this fate? Don't laugh at me; sooner or later you'll become a flower in the garden too."

"Because this person is a heartless and ruthless fellow."

Lin Qingtong smiled faintly, "You don't need to worry about this matter."

William glanced at Lin Jiaorui, waved his hand, and someone walked in and took her away.

Hearing Lin Jiaorui's shrill curses, Lin Qingtong couldn't help but feel worried and asked her for more information.

Where will she be taken?

William East laughed and retorted, "Are you concerned about her? Instead of worrying about her, you should worry about yourself."

Lin Qingtong did not answer him, but looked at the scenery outside the window.

"Where do you think we'll go for dinner tonight?"

William Dongfang was taken aback, not expecting Lin Qingtong to ask about the dining location. He seemed very happy and excitedly introduced the place to Lin Qingtong.

"We're going to have dinner at the castle on the mountaintop tonight. I have a little castle there."

Lin Qingtong nodded thoughtfully and casually asked a question.

"Is your helicopter parked there too?"

William looked at Lin Qingtong warily, "Why are you asking this?"

Lin Qingtong simply smiled and replied, "I was just curious, but I remember I had a necklace on me before. Could you give it back to me? It was left to me by my mother."

Upon hearing this, William Dongfang immediately took out a necklace from his pocket and handed it to Lin Qingtong.

Is this what you mean?

When Lin Qingtong saw the necklace, she nodded in agreement.

William Dongfang immediately took the necklace back and leaned slightly forward to speak.

"If you want the necklace, then have dinner with me quietly."

Left with no other choice, Lin Qingtong agreed and followed Dongfang William toward the mountaintop.

They arrived at the foot of the mountain and took a cable car that slowly ascended. The afterglow of the sunset shone on the cable car, making it look exceptionally beautiful.

Lin Qingtong was surprised. What decent family would install a cable car?

She found it amazing, but then she realized that this was William of the East, so it made sense.
