Chapter 42 The Master Was Poached

Lin Qingtong glanced around and saw Shen Tinghe striding towards them.

His well-tailored black suit accentuated his tall and elegant figure.

His deep gaze fell on Lin Qingtong, and he uttered a sentence.

"Come with me, I need to talk to you."

Upon hearing this, Lin Jiaorui's eyes were filled with schadenfreude.

"Go quickly, sister. Maybe you did something wrong, and Mr. Shen wants to teach you how to do things properly."

Lin Qingtong's gaze fell on Shen Tinghe, and a smile of interest appeared on her lips.

"What does Mr. Shen want to teach me? I'm quite interested."

Her voice was long, soft, and alluring.

Shen Tinghe's eyes suddenly turned dangerous as he spoke calmly.

"Just follow me."

Lin Qingtong noticed the subtle expressions on Shen Tinghe's face when he was moved, and her smile deepened. She followed him away, her slender figure clad in high heels.

Just as she rounded the corner, Shen Tinghe's large hand pinned her against the cold wall, his fingers slowly lifting her chin.

Her skin was as white as jade, and it was dazzlingly white when the sun shone on it.

Have you found a renovation team yet?

Lin Qingtong placed her fingers on Shen Tinghe's tall shoulders, her slender fingertips gently teasing his earlobe.

"Mr. Shen, is this out of concern for me?"

Shen Tinghe turned around, grabbed Lin Qingtong's hand, and kissed it lightly, his voice extremely deep.

"I'm just worried that you'll lose to Lin Jiaorui and embarrass me."

Upon hearing this, Lin Qingtong chuckled and pressed her finger to his lips, answering slowly and deliberately.

"Don't worry, I won't let you down. I will definitely find a team."

She leaned close to his red lips, so close that their breaths were clearly audible, and called out to him.

"Shen Tinghe".

Lin Qingtong loved seeing desire flicker across Shen Tinghe's aloof and noble face, tinged with a wicked charm, until she finally became madly infatuated with it.

As expected, Shen Tinghe's eyes darkened, and his thin lips eagerly moved closer.

But just as he was about to get close, Lin Qingtong leaned back, her porcelain-white neck gleaming and tracing a graceful arc.

She then grabbed Shen Tinghe's shoulder and laughed heartily.

"I have to go now."

With a smile on her face, Lin Qingtong pushed Shen Tinghe aside and walked straight outside.

Soon, Lin Qingtong arrived at the decoration market. Many workers were squatting by the street outside, holding up signs and waiting.

"I want to renovate my house."

Lin Qingtong approached in her high heels and casually uttered a single sentence, at which point many people surged forward, vying to introduce themselves.

"I've been a bricklayer for ten years. Trust me, I'll definitely make your home look beautiful."

"Hey beautiful, I'm a carpenter. I've installed at least several hundred houses, and I have photos of them. Let me show you."

Her gaze swept around, finally settling on a man crouching under a tree, and she slowly approached him.

When the man looked up at Lin Qingtong, a hint of amazement flashed in his eyes.

"Why are you hiring me instead of skilled workers like them?"

Lin Qingtong smiled brightly, her red lips curving upwards. "I'll give you two hundred yuan, but you have to do me a favor."

The other party readily agreed, as it was just a simple favor that could earn them two hundred yuan.

Sunlight filtered through the treetops, casting dappled shadows. Lin Qingtong stood in the shade and spoke calmly and composedly.

"I want the most senior master craftsman in your industry, can you do that? It's just a few numbers, worth two hundred yuan."

The man's eyes flickered slightly, and finally he nodded, took out his phone, and gave Lin Qingtong a few numbers.

"The master craftsman with the first number is surnamed Tong. He has been doing this for at least twenty years. He is very skilled and is the master craftsman of many people."

“His wages are not low. He usually doesn’t go out looking for work. People come to him even when he’s sitting at home.”

Lin Qingtong smiled slightly, her slender, green fingers holding two hundred yuan, and handed it to the other person.

"Thanks for your hard work."

The other party took the money and left, while Lin Qingtong called Master Tong, arranged a time and place with him, met briefly, and then went to the construction site.

After seeing the design drawings provided by Lin Qingtong, Master Tong frowned slightly. "Most of your walls are curved, which makes some parts difficult to complete. Why don't you change them?"

Lin Qingtong simply smiled and spoke softly.

"I'll pay more."

A glint flashed in Master Tong's eyes, and he nodded thoughtfully.

"Actually, this isn't too difficult to complete."

Lin Qingtong continued to communicate the details with the other party. Indeed, the master craftsman's skills were outstanding. Lin Qingtong could basically understand the feeling she wanted and explain how to operate it.

She then suggested that Master Tong bring a bricklayer and an electrician, and Master Tong agreed.

The next day, Lin Qingtong met with these people. They were all experienced masters and indeed very good, so she felt relieved.

The renovation team finished their work smoothly, so Lin Qingtong started browsing the renovation market, spending an entire day there, comparing colors, materials, and prices with the design drafts.

At noon, Lin Qingtong bought water and came to the construction site, handing it to Master Tong to check the progress of the renovation.

While she was checking the renovation progress in the room, Lin Jiaorui peeked out from the doorway, looking at something.

Seeing that Lin Qingtong was not there, Lin Jiaorui took out two packs of cigarettes and stuffed them into Master Tong's hand, smiling as she tentatively offered them.

"You must be Master Tong. I've heard so much about you; you're a top expert in the industry. I happen to have some things installed at my house. Could I leave you my contact information?"

Seeing how polite Lin Jiaorui was, Master Tong left his contact information.

"By the way, the price she offered was a bit low, half the price of my workers."
