Chapter Fifty-Nine: There's No Going Back

"Mr. Shen, I need to drive, so I can't drink."

Shen Tinghe simply pushed the glass towards Lin Qingtong a little, his face remaining expressionless.

"It's not alcohol."

Lin Qingtong leaned forward slightly and glanced at the bill, discovering that it clearly stated "Azure World," a specially blended coconut juice that contained no alcohol.

It was specifically stated on it.

Shen Tinghe seemed determined not to leave unless he drank.

With no other option, Lin Qingtong could only sit opposite him, pick up the glass with her slender fingers, and slowly take a sip.

It has a rich and slightly astringent taste, and a hint of spiciness after swallowing.

In that instant, Lin Qingtong suddenly looked up at Shen Tinghe, her teeth clenched in anger.

"Shen Tinghe, is there any point in doing this?!"

There was indeed no alcohol in the juice, but Shen Tinghe added alcohol to it.

Shen Tinghe's fingers rested on the table, his eyes, slightly red from intoxication, brimming with laughter, and a joyful smile spread across his chest.

"You can't go back, Lin Qingtong."

His words, however, carried a hint of melancholy and wistfulness.

These words caused Lin Qingtong a sudden pang of pain in her heart, as if she had been gripped tightly by a large hand.

She felt that Shen Tinghe's words had a hidden meaning. What did he mean by "there's no going back"?

Does this mean I can't go back home, or that I can't go back to the past?

Lin Qingtong gripped the glass in her hand and casually uttered a sentence.

"So what? I never bother to worry about these things; I just think about how to move forward."

Shen Tinghe put down his wine glass, placed his slender fingers on the table, and gracefully stood up to speak.

"Let's go, take me home."

Lin Qingtong tossed the car keys onto the table in annoyance, crossed her arms, and glanced at Shen Tinghe.

"You can't go back. I've been drinking. You'll have to take a taxi home yourself."

As soon as he finished speaking, Shen Tinghe's tall figure blocked the light, and an oppressive shadow continued to approach.

His dangerous and predatory gaze was fixed on Lin Qingtong, his thin lips slightly pursed, his eyes sweeping over the contours of her face.

Ultimately, it lingered on Lin Qingtong's red lips.

"If you're not going back, then you'll stay here with me?"
