Chapter Ninety-One: The Swindler

Lin Qingtong paused when she saw who it was.

She never expected that the person who came would be Shen Tinghe.

Shen Tinghe strode forward, stood next to Mr. Duan, and nodded slightly to the crowd, his movements both noble and languid.

The next second, his dark pupils fell in Lin Qingtong's direction, revealing a hint of ambiguity.

Lin Qingtong pursed her lips slightly and looked away. Just as she was about to find a place to sit down, she heard He Jiaxin continue her provocative words.

"Are you scared and hiding? It's just a dance, it shouldn't be difficult for you."

She deliberately praised Lin Qingtong, hoping to elevate her so that she could fall even harder.

Lin Qingtong's gaze fell indifferently on He Jiaxin.

"You are the one who should be afraid. I am the real Su Qian, and Mr. Shen can prove it."

Since Shen Tinghe had come, Lin Qingtong decided to make the most of him and use him to clarify her identity.

After all, if she were really a fraudster, she would most likely have been kicked out.

He Jiaxin finally understood after hearing this that the noble-looking man was actually Shen Tinghe from the Shen Group.

Her gaze flashed with amazement as she looked in Shen Tinghe's direction, and then she quickly spoke.

“Mr. Shen, this Lin Qingtong is impersonating Su Qian. I hope you can help prove that she is not Su Qian. After all, I have already checked with Miss Lin Jiaorui.”

Upon hearing this, Shen Tinghe's gaze fell on Lin Qingtong, and a half-smile appeared on his thin lips.

"So you wanted me to help you prove it, but is proving it just empty talk?"

His words were a demand for conditions from Lin Qingtong.

Lin Qingtong's light-colored pupils, like amber, stared at Shen Tinghe and suddenly burst out laughing.

"Mr. Shen remains the same as always. If you cannot prove it, then let's give up."

She acted as if she didn't care at all.

This time, Shen Tinghe took the initiative to speak.

"It was just a joke, Miss Lin, why are you so angry?"

Then, he glanced around and uttered a sentence, word by word.

"I, Shen Tinghe, hereby testify that Su Qian is indeed Miss Lin Qingtong."

His words were like slaps to He Jiaxin's face, stinging painfully.

He Jiaxin's face was contorted in pain as she questioned him in a sharp voice.

"How could she be Su Qian? You two must have already agreed to work together."

Lin Qingtong paid no more attention to her words, but turned to look at Mr. Duan.

"Mr. Duan, I'm so sorry to have made you laugh. It was just a trivial matter."

Mr. Duan's gaze swept over Shen Tinghe and Lin Qingtong, and his attitude became unusually gentle.

"It's alright, everyone please take your seats, the performance is about to begin."

Afterwards, Lin Qingtong casually found a seat and sat down, while Mr. Duan prepared a central seat for Shen Tinghe.

Lin Qingtong originally thought that Shen Tinghe would listen to Mr. Duan and sit in the center, but she did not expect that he would stride towards her in full view of everyone.

Shen Tinghe stood in front of Lin Qingtong, the light of the campfire making his features appear even more gentle and refined.

Is this seat taken?

Lin Qingtong's eyes flickered slightly, and she decisively shook her head: "Nobody's here."

She could also see that Shen Tinghe had a good relationship with Mr. Duan. If she could use Shen Tinghe as a starting point, she might be able to facilitate this cooperation.

Although she had just said some things to Shen Tinghe to draw a line between them a few days ago.

However, Lin Qingtong felt that this was just a matter of feelings and should not be a factor affecting cooperation.

After all, no businessman can resist the temptation of cooperation and profit.

Shen Tinghe sat down next to her in full view of everyone, while Lin Qingtong placed a plate of barbecue in front of him with a flattering smile.

"Mr. Shen, please enjoy your meal."

Shen Tinghe didn't eat immediately. Instead, he kept his gaze fixed on Lin Qingtong's cool and beautiful face and slowly spoke.

"I helped you just now, shouldn't I get some compensation?"

Upon hearing Shen Tinghe's words, Lin Qingtong was taken aback.

It was Shen Tinghe who took the initiative to clarify things for me just now; I didn't promise her any reward.

But since I need something from the other party at this moment, I should be a little nicer.

So Lin Qingtong softened her tone and asked with a smile.

"What kind of reward does Mr. Shen want?"

A mischievous glint flashed in Shen Tinghe's eyes. The moment Lin Qingtong saw it, she immediately regretted giving him that opening line.

Then she heard Shen Tinghe's indifferent voice.

"May I see you dance?"

As she spoke, her dark pupils inexplicably brightened, revealing an unusual light.

Lin Qingtong's ears burned as she recalled some inappropriate images for children.

During the years she was with Shen Tinghe, she would sometimes dance when she was in the mood.

However, they were all full of flirtation and ambiguity.

Thinking of all that, Lin Qingtong coughed twice and said, "I can agree, but are you sure?"

Shen Tinghe's thin lips curled into a half-smile, "Of course, you've already agreed."

He interpreted this as Lin Qingtong agreeing to dance in his room that night, but a mischievous glint flashed in Lin Qingtong's eyes.

Since Shen Tinghe wanted him to dance, he would go along with it.

So Lin Qingtong stood up and announced in the direction of Master Duan and the others.

"Mr. Duan, Master Duan, if you don't mind, I'd like to perform a dance for everyone."

Upon hearing this, Master Duan's eyes lit up immediately, and he readily agreed.

"sure."

Lin Qingtong slowly stepped out of her seat, completely unaware that Shen Tinghe's eyes behind her were becoming increasingly gloomy and terrifying.
