Yi Xing Newcomer
With his body fully recovered and having gained initial control over the newfound power within him, Yi Xing's chess skills also improved. He no longer relied solely on the stone chessboard; with a thought, he could sketch an invisible star-studded chessboard in the air, condensing chess pieces with his mental power to deduce all things.
He tried to infuse a faint trace of life energy into a dying bonsai, and the bonsai miraculously revived at a visible speed, sprouting new buds. He then tried to guide a trace of annihilation power towards a stubborn rock, and the surface of the rock quickly became brittle, weathering and peeling away.
Life and death, creation and end, were initially balanced and utilized in his hands.

Yi Xing picked up a fallen leaf in the courtyard, watching it wither and flourish at his fingertips, then wither and fade again, repeating the cycle endlessly, and softly contemplated its meaning. This marked the formation of his own unique philosophy of power.
Ming Shiyin watched his disciple grow, a look of satisfaction in his eyes. He knew that Yi Xing had found his own path, and his future achievements might surpass his own.
"What are your plans next?" Ming Shiyin asked.
Yi Xing's gaze swept across the direction of Chang'an City, then seemed to look towards a more distant future: "'Night Ink' and the Shadow Pavilion have not been eradicated yet, and the hidden dangers remain. This disciple would like to first assist Lord Di in eliminating any remaining forces that may be lurking in Chang'an City. Then... perhaps we should go to the Jianghuai region mentioned by Han Xin, or the East China Sea mentioned by Governor Zhou."
His gaze was firm; he was no longer the sickly boy who needed protection in the courtyard, but had grown into a chess master who could stand alone and protect his region.
