Chapter 34 Should we follow up?

Chapter 34 Should we follow up?

Jiang Yimian went home as usual after class on Friday.

She lives at school from Monday to Friday and goes home on weekends.

She had been suffering from a cold for several days and felt very unwell, so she wrapped her clothes tightly around herself as she went outside.

A gust of wind blew, and she couldn't help but cough twice, as if she were coughing up blood from her lungs.

Suddenly she stopped in her tracks. A Maybach was parked on the side of the road; it belonged to Bo Jinzhou.

She seemed dazed for a moment.

After disappearing for three days, what does he want by suddenly showing up at my door?

Jiang Yimian was unsure of Bo Jinzhou's intentions.

Bo Jinzhou was always cunning, but in the past seven years, Jiang Yimian could sense that he had become even more calculating.

Those dark, deep eyes were so intense that she couldn't see their true color.

She stood there for three or four seconds, her throat itchy. She bent over and coughed a few more times. Her eyes were red and her long, curled eyelashes were damp.

The car door opened, and the man got out. He was dressed casually today, and his gray overcoat gave him a touch of elegance.

Approaching her, his brows furrowed. "Why didn't you go to the hospital if you had a cold?"

Jiang Yimian didn't speak, but took a step back, her tone distant: "Brother Jinzhou, I'm fine."

She called him "brother" again. Bo Jinzhou's eyes darkened. He forcefully grabbed her wrist, his expression cold, and anger flashed in his eyes as he dragged her into the car.

Bo Jinzhou then got into the car and said in a cold tone, "Master Zhang, to the hospital."

Jiang Yimian said, "I want to go home."

Bo Jinzhou curled his lips into a mocking smile: "Go home? Can we even go back to that home?"

Jiang Yimian pursed her dry lips, lowered her eyes, and still insisted: "That's the Jiang residence, the surname is Jiang."

Bo Jinzhou turned to look at her, "You should take care of your health first."

This time, Jiang Yimian remained silent.

She has been taking medicine for her cold for the past two days and hasn't gone to the hospital.

When they arrived at the hospital, Song Zhou went to register, and Bo Jinzhou took off his clothes and covered her with them.

"Wearing so little, are you trying to cultivate immortality and become a fairy?"

Jiang Yimian grumbled, "All the clothes I just bought are in Yunduan, why don't you bring them over to me?"

Bo Jinzhou snorted coldly, "I won't take you. Go by yourself."

Jiang Yimian looked up and glared at him, only to find that the man had a smile on his lips, looking at her with a meaningful expression.

He immediately lowered his head, frowning. "You dog of a man, you look even more beastly now that you've had your fill of sex."

It was peak season for colds, and Bo Jinzhou grew impatient, so he stood up and said, "Let's go back to Yunduan."

Jiang Yimian was stunned: "I've already made an appointment."

Bo Jinzhou: "Instead of waiting, we would have already started your IV drip back at Yunduan."

Jiang Yimian got up and followed behind him, her head bowed, without saying a word.

Bo Jinzhou called the family doctor to Yunduan. It was far from Yunduan, but close to her school. He originally wanted to get her IV drip started as soon as possible, but he didn't expect that it would take an hour just to wait.

The car was warm and cozy. Jiang Yimian hadn't been sleeping well at night, but getting into the car was exceptionally comfortable. The seat cushions were also more comfortable than others, and she fell asleep within just half an hour.

Once they reached the cloud, Song Zhou turned his head and said, "President Bo..." Bo Jinzhou gestured for silence, and Song Zhou immediately shut his mouth.

Bo Jinzhou got out of the car, went to the other side, and gently picked her up. Unexpectedly, Jiang Yimian was such a light sleeper that she woke up immediately.

Bo Jinzhou simply picked her up and carried her out. Jiang Yimian reached out and hooked her arms around his neck. "Put me down."

"I can walk by myself."

Bo Jinzhou remained silent with a cold expression. He went straight to his room on the second floor. Jiang Yimian shifted her legs. "No, my room is over there."

Bo Jinzhou said sarcastically, "Jiang Yimian, you've already slept with her, why bother with these things?"

He bluntly revealed this hidden, shameful matter, and Jiang Yimian shut her mouth.

The family doctor has arrived, taken her temperature, and checked her pulse.

During the IV infusion, Bo Jinzhou said to the doctor, "Dr. Zhu, be gentle, she's afraid of pain."

Jiang Yimian, however, remained calm and said, "It's nothing, it doesn't hurt."

Bo Jinzhou recalled that three days ago, she was under him, crying and saying it hurt and she didn't want to continue.

He knelt and begged for a long time before she finally gave him a kind look, and now he's not afraid of pain anymore.

Dr. Zhu smiled, and the needle went into the vein without Jiang Yimian even flinching.

The doctor gave a few instructions and then left.

Bo Jinzhou sat on the edge of the bed and asked, "Do you still want to sleep?"

She shook her head. "I can't sleep." Her face was still pale, and she looked sickly. Her skin had a fragile, almost translucent white appearance.

"You said you'd come with me, but you insisted on going to the deck with Chu Yao to get some fresh air. Now you know how uncomfortable it is to catch a cold."

Bo Jinzhou's sharp tongue annoyed Jiang Yimian, who retorted, "Following you has only brought me trouble."

Bo Jinzhou smiled, "How do you know you haven't been there if you haven't followed along?"

Jiang Yimian lowered her head and muttered, "It's obviously not there."

Bo Jinzhou nodded, his deep voice carrying a hint of coaxing: "Then how about we go along?"

Jiang Yimian paused, then looked up at him with her bright eyes, "Brother Jinzhou, we are siblings."

Her eyes were so serious, as if they were meant to be.

Bo Jinzhou's face turned cold as he grasped her other hand, the one without the IV drip. "Jiang Yimian, you slept with me and now you're denying it, huh?"

Jiang Yimian pursed her lips: "To be honest, I'm the one who suffered a loss in this matter. Why should I take the blame for the bad food you ate?"

Bo Jinzhou's jawline was taut, his handsome face as cold as ice. "Don't you feel anything?"

Jiang Yimian was taken aback. "What do you mean?"

Bo Jinzhou's lips curled into a meaningful smile. "Baby, you were very excited at the time."

Jiang Yimian blushed completely, and her face turned bright red at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Her fingers curled up, trying to shake him off, but he held on even tighter.

"I've given you three days to prepare. Now let's have a proper talk."

Jiang Yimian looked at him with an inscrutable expression, then sighed deeply, "There's nothing to talk about."

"You treat me like a younger sister, that's what you said yourself, so we can only be siblings. What happened that day was an accident, so neither of us should take it seriously."

Bo Jinzhou scoffed and glanced at her hand with the needle in it.

If it weren't for the fact that she was still on an IV drip, he would have already pressed down and kissed her.

It's amazing that she can still utter so many distant words.

As Bo Jinzhou left the room, Jiang Yimian's tense body relaxed.

He let out a heavy sigh.

Dealing with Bo Jinzhou is much more difficult than dealing with Lu Wenchang.

Jiang Yimian received an IV drip for four hours, and it was already dark outside.

After finishing her IV drip, Bo Jinzhou took her to a restaurant for dinner.

Jiang Yimian's appetite hadn't been very good these past few days, and he hadn't been eating much. Perhaps it was because his body had recovered after the IV drip, and also because the chef he hired was indeed very good at cooking, but Jiang Yimian's appetite had improved a lot.

Bo Jinzhou served her food, and Jiang Yimian did not refuse, but she also refused to communicate with him.

After finishing her meal, she wiped her mouth, stood up, and said, "Brother Jinzhou, thank you for your hospitality. It's getting late, so I'll be going now."

Bo Jinzhou took a sip of water unhurriedly. "It's 10 p.m. now. There are no cars here that I can call for you."

"To get a taxi, you have to walk at least five kilometers. In this cold weather, even if you walk there, you might not be able to get a taxi."

Jiang Yimian turned around and looked at him with a smile: "Then, Brother Jinzhou, can you take me home?"

Bo Jinzhou slowly wiped his mouth, got up, took her hand, and walked upstairs, saying with a forced smile, "No."

Bai asked, but Jiang Yimian angrily shook him off.

Bo Jinzhou smiled indulgently, "You're still throwing a princess tantrum."

Jiang Yimian punched cotton.
