Chapter 82 "Little Liar"

Chapter 82 "Little Liar"

The office was very warm, but a chill ran straight up from my feet to my whole body.

His clenched fist trembled from the force, and the air seemed to freeze for a moment, leaving everyone present shocked.

Bo Jinzhou's thin lips were pressed tightly together, and his dark eyes were fixed on the woman in front of him.

Song Zhou was so shocked by the news that he reached up to adjust his glasses. His heart was pounding in his chest as the moment froze. He was wondering whether he should go out.

Once I go outside, I won't hear my wife's heartfelt confession again. This might be the only time in my life, and it would be a shame to miss it.

A piercing scream shattered the brief silence, "Are you talking nonsense?"

Lu Yiwan's pupils widened, and she went completely mad: "Jiang Yimian, don't try these tricks. You've taken advantage of me, and that's it."

Bo Jinzhou frowned. His heart was already in turmoil, and her noise made him even more irritable. He hissed, "Song Zhou, throw her out."

Song Zhou looked at Lu Yiwan with displeasure. Four security guards were already waiting at the door. Song Zhou ordered them to drag and pull her out, or even just have four people take one of each of her arms and legs.

The door closed, and the office fell silent instantly, save for the gurgling sound of the fish tank water. The sound wasn't loud, but it became exceptionally clear at that moment.

Bo Jinzhou's voice was hoarse and strained. "Jiang Yimian, what did you say?"

Jiang Yimian stepped back again, wiping her tears haphazardly, just like when she was a child, crying her heart out.

"I... I drugged you because I heard that you and Lu Yiwan were going to announce your marriage that day," she said, her voice choked with sobs, breathless and heartbroken.

"I know you don't like me. Your relationship with Lu Yiwan during those years abroad is something I can't compare to. I had no other choice but to resort to this tactic."

Bo Jinzhou felt his heart being gripped tightly by a pair of large hands, then released. This unpleasant feeling tormented him, causing his chest to tremble and heave.

He stepped forward and grabbed her wrist. "Who said I don't like you?"

Jiang Yimian looked up at him, her eyes glistening with tears, and said, "You only started liking me later."

“Lu Yiwan is right. I drugged you. I have ulterior motives towards you. I do want your help. You also said you would…”

"Not this one," the man suddenly interrupted.

Bo Jinzhou's dark, narrow eyes were fixed on her, as if she were about to run away, his gaze burning with intensity.

"You really mean it when you say you like me?"

Jiang Yimian nodded blankly, then lowered her head shyly, not daring to look at him.

Her voice was strained as she spoke each word clearly: "I like you, Bo Jinzhou. I like you a lot. I've liked you for a long time, but when you went abroad with Lu Yiwan, I hid my feelings for you."

"Even though seven years have passed, I still can't watch you marry Lu Yiwan, do you understand?"

No sooner had he finished speaking than Bo Jinzhou grabbed her under the armpits, lifted her up, and placed her on the desk.

Jiang Yimian grabbed his shoulders, "You... um..."

Her head was grabbed and Bo Jinzhou kissed her fiercely. Her slippers fell off, and the man's strong, lean waist pressed against her side. His large hand on her waist tightened, pulling her closer to his chest.

Jiang Yimian was somewhat surprised. So... she just brushed it off?

The man's breath was hot, and his body heat transferred to her, making her feel as warm as a large furnace.

After kissing for an unknown amount of time, Jiang Yimian's legs went numb and her body went limp, relying entirely on the man for support.

Just then, there was a knock on the office door, and the secretary's voice came through, "Mr. Bo, the meeting starts in ten minutes."

Jiang Yimian opened her eyes and nudged him. Bo Jinzhou then separated from her, his eyes filled with lust as he stared at her without any attempt to hide it. Jiang Yimian was so frightened by his gaze that she looked away.

Bo Jinzhou's Adam's apple bobbed violently as he suppressed his agitation. He pressed her against his chest, gently pinching the back of her neck, and said to the door in a steady voice, "Postpone by half an hour."

The secretary outside the door smiled knowingly, "Okay."

Upon entering the conference room, he announced to everyone, "The meeting is postponed by one hour; President Bo has other matters to attend to."

Everyone: "..."

This has never happened before; given Bo Xilai's workaholic nature, this is the first time.

Jiang Yimian buried herself in his arms, feeling the rapid heartbeat of his heart and listening to the rise and fall of his breath. Her whole face turned as red as an apple and felt a little hot.

"Bo Jinzhou, you have a meeting." Her voice was soft and gentle, making Bo Jinzhou's heart flutter.

He cupped her face in his hands, their eyes met, and his voice was hoarse and husky: "So when you said you didn't like me before, you were just lying to me out of spite?"

Jiang Yimian nodded shyly, then glared at him: "So what if I lied to you? It's all because you hurt my feelings."

Bo Jinzhou's eyes were full of doting and delight, and he couldn't help but kiss her lips again, "Little liar, you really fooled me."

When Jiang Yimian heard him say the word "lie," her heart trembled with panic, because she really was lying to him.

Jiang Yimian hugged his neck affectionately, resting her cheek against his chest, "I was just lying to you. Who told you to be inseparable from Lu Yiwan in America for seven years?"

Bo Jinzhou reached out and slapped her butt. "You can't just ignore those rumors, can you?"

Jiang Yimian was spanked by him and, feeling ashamed and indignant, punched him, saying, "You can't spank me."

Bo Jinzhou carried her to the lounge, his voice cheerful: "It's not like we haven't done it before. Don't you like it in bed?"

Jiang Yimian yelled at him, "Get lost!"

Bo Jinzhou's chest trembled as he placed her on the bed, kissed her cheek, and wiped the moisture from her eyes with a tissue.

He asked, "When did you start liking me?"

"You said you've liked me for a long time? Did you like me before you went abroad?"

Jiang Yimian was taken aback; in her haste, she had brought up the fact that she used to like him.

But for now, we can only keep dragging this on.

She nervously gripped the blanket, her voice muffled, "Um, fifteen or sixteen years old, I can't remember exactly."

Bo Jinzhou stared straight at her, as if trying to bore a hole through her. Jiang Yimian covered his eyes, saying, "Don't look at me like that."

Bo Jinzhou took her hand and leaned closer to her. "I succeeded, didn't I?"

Jiang Yimian turned her head away. "No, I just like you, just a little bit."

"It's okay, that's enough. You'll fall in love with me."

Jiang Yimian scoffed lightly: "Not necessarily. Besides, what if you don't like me anymore?"

Bo Jinzhou turned her face seriously, his handsome face full of solemnity: "Jiang Mianmian, you have no idea how much I love you."

"I'll give you whatever you want."

A fleeting chill crossed Jiang Yimian's eyes beneath her curled eyelashes, but her voice remained remarkably relaxed: "What if I take your life? Will you give it to me or not?"

The man's thin lips curved into a smile, his eyes filled with tenderness and affection. "If you want it, I will give it to you."

"But are you willing to do that?"

Jiang Yimian placed her hand on his neck, smiling radiantly: "You're willing to part with it?"

A smile crept across Bo Jinzhou's lips. "Little liar."

He pulled her onto his lap, sealed her lips with his, and shifted his position slightly.

She pushed and shoved, but the man held her down firmly.

The lounge was filled with an ambiguous and romantic atmosphere. Jiang Yimian covered her face and said, "Your nose is too high."

"Serving you, isn't it better to be a little higher up?"

She tried to kick him, but he grabbed her arm and said, "Be good, get well before you come back."

Jiang Yimian bit her lip. "That's not what I meant."

Bo Jinzhou looked up at her. "Really? Then why were you twisting yourself into a pretzel just now?"

Jiang Yimian was mortified and furious. "I'm going to sleep. Get out of here."

"I'll leave once you're better."

His voice was hoarse and filled with restraint; Jiang Yimian was about to be driven mad by him.

An hour later, Jiang Yimian lay on the bed, hugging her blanket. Excitement made her brain very active, but she also felt a sense of comfort.

Bo Jinzhou came out of the bathroom, his clothes were perfectly wrinkle-free, and he was dressed in a neat and tidy manner, looking like a beast in human clothing.

He wiped the water from his lips and ruffled her hair. "I'll sleep with you for a while."

Jiang Yimian covered herself, her voice muffled: "I don't need it, get out of here."

The man raised an eyebrow. "Will you be able to sleep if I leave?"

Jiang Yimian remained silent, which was taken as tacit agreement; she seemed to have gotten used to having such a person by her side.
