Chapter 97 Mianmian, shall we go see a doctor?
Bo Jinzhou was incredibly fast at everything since elementary school, with an astonishingly fast learning ability. Even though he hadn't played mahjong for many years, he quickly picked it up again.
Jiang Yimian doesn't know how to play mahjong. Even though she's learned, she always ends up getting ripped off.
She couldn't understand Bo Jinzhou's cards, and even started to find them boring.
Wang Ma came over with fireworks in her hand. "Madam, would you like to set off fireworks? Let's go outside."
Jiang Yimian waved her hand as she looked at the various fireworks, "It's too cold outside."
Unable to understand Bo Jinzhou's cards, she went to look at Tan Yusu's cards, and then went to look at Han Feng's cards.
The three were furious after losing three games in a row.
Tan Yusu: "Mianmian, you've found a really good outside helper. You're pressing hard and leaving no room for maneuver."
Han Feng pushed the mahjong tiles away, saying, "I'm not playing anymore, it's no fun."
Bo Jinzhou took the money back, a thick stack of cash. They had been playing for big stakes, and he gave it all to Jiang Yimian.
Jiang Yimian immediately revealed a victorious smile, "A bountiful harvest of spoils."
Seeing how happy she was, Bo Jinzhou suggested, "How about another round?"
Chu Yao chuckled: "Are you waiting for you to come and kill us again? We're not stupid."
Wang Ma placed the fireworks aside, and Han Feng suggested, "Let's set off fireworks."
Su Chuyao remained silent and looked at Jiang Yimian, who smiled and said, "You guys go ahead and set them off. I don't like setting off fireworks."
Han Feng came over and put his arm around her shoulder. "You used to love setting off fireworks. Come on, let me light one for you."
Bo Jinzhou came over and took his hand away. "It's too cold outside. She's not feeling well, so she shouldn't go out in the wind."
Han Feng touched his nose. "Alright then."
Tan Yusu and Chu Yao secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Han Feng stood between the two and pushed them from behind: "Come on, let's play as a trio."
"Brother Han Feng, you really are still a child at heart."
"That's called happiness. Life is about finding joy in life."
After the three left, Bo Jinzhou took out a fairy wand from the box and led her to the second-floor balcony.
Jiang Yimian's palms were sweating. "Bo Jinzhou, I don't want to play."
The man's expression remained cold and expressionless; he simply said, "Watch me play."
Jiang Yimian curled her lip. "That's so boring."
Bo Jinzhou held her wrist tightly, took a blanket and draped it over her, then helped her sit in the chair.
She opened the packaging bag and took out a heart-shaped fairy wand. The night was dark and the air was bitterly cold. Jiang Yimian wrapped herself tightly in a blanket and huddled there.
As Bo Jinzhou pulled out a lighter, her eyelashes fluttered and she tightly closed her eyes.
The man's voice was deep and gentle, "Listen."
"It is burning, like a star, burning itself out to create something beautiful."
The crackling sound of burning filled my ears, amplified in the quiet environment.
The sparkler burned out very quickly. Bo Jinzhou squatted down in front of her and patted her head. "Don't be afraid. It was just a very small sparkler. It wasn't enough to hurt you."
Jiang Yimian's heart trembled, and suddenly something gripped her tightly. What... did he mean?
The sense of panic in her heart grew stronger and stronger. Jiang Yimian opened her eyes with trembling, curled eyelashes. What came into view was Bo Jinzhou's cold and noble handsome face.
He had thick eyebrows, dark and narrow phoenix eyes, a high and straight nose, and thin, beautifully shaped lips. His bone structure was extremely superior, giving people a cold and indifferent feeling. He was very tall, and when he looked down at people, people would unconsciously think that he was scrutinizing them or looking down on them.
His noble and unapproachable demeanor has captivated countless women.
The man cupped her face and gently kissed her forehead; his lips were cool, like the texture of jelly.
He lit another one. This time, Jiang Yimian didn't close her eyes, but she still trembled with fear.
Bo Jinzhou held her hand tightly. "Look, isn't it like stars burning?"
Jiang Yimian nodded. "It looks really good."
Bo Jinzhou took another one and placed it in her hand, "Want to try it?"
Jiang Yimian hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to overcome her fear and nod.
Bo Jinzhou encircled her, held her hand, and spun the lighter's gears, causing a flame to leap out. Jiang Yimian hesitated for a moment, but Bo Jinzhou held her firmly, his voice low and gentle as he reassured her, "Don't be afraid, I'm here."
Jiang Yimian swallowed hard, trying to calm herself. She tightened her grip until her fingertips turned white, until the flame ignited the sparkler. The crackling sound startled her so much that she almost let go, but Bo Jinzhou held her hand firmly.
The sparkler burned quietly in her hand.
Jiang Yimian's uneasy heart began to calm down, and she couldn't help but smile. "I did it."
Bo Jinzhou kissed the top of her head. "Great."
Fireworks exploded, illuminating the night sky. Jiang Yimian's smile turned to terror. She threw away the sparkler in her hand and hid in Bo Jinzhou's arms.
Bo Jinzhou's cold eyes narrowed, and he pulled her into the room, closing the glass door to block out most of the fireworks noise.
Jiang Yimian gripped his clothes tightly, her heart pounding harder with each beat.
The fear ingrained in her bones made her tremble instinctively.
They curled up like wounded little animals.
A flicker of heartache crossed Bo Jinzhou's cold eyes. In the dimly lit room, Bo Jinzhou held her tightly in his arms. Downstairs in the garden, Han Feng was having a great time, and Chu Yao and Tan Yusu couldn't stop him no matter what they tried.
The fireworks have already been lit; all we can do is pray they go off quickly.
Bo Jinzhou gently stroked her head, tidied her hair, cupped her face, and kissed her moist eyes. "Don't be afraid, it's just fireworks, there's no fire."
Jiang Yimian's heart clenched, her teeth chattered, and she opened her wet eyes to look at him. The man had a pair of deep, dark eyes; he wouldn't let anyone see what he was thinking.
But at this moment, Jiang Yimian seemed to understand something in his eyes, and something gripped her heart even tighter.
Did he still find out?
She didn't dare look him in the eye, feeling extremely guilty. She didn't know why she felt guilty, but she just couldn't bring herself to look at him.
Bo Jinzhou looked at her intently, his eyes unreadable. He cupped her cheek and kissed her, their breaths mingling as they felt each other's breath, body temperature, touch, and scent.
The blanket slipped off her shoulders, and Jiang Yimian wrapped her arms around his neck, her eyelashes trembling uncontrollably. The man held her waist tightly against his body, as if he wanted to meld her into his very bones.
Jiang Yimian was so tight she could hardly breathe. The pressure pressed down on her body little by little, and her body slowly sank down onto the soft bed.
The faint sound of fireworks in her ears gradually calmed her down, making her ignore the sound of the fireworks exploding.
Bo Jinzhou pulled away from her lips and gently kissed her forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks, and chin, wishing he could kiss her every inch of her body.
His warm breath brushed against her earlobe as he said, "Mianmian, shall we go see a doctor?"
