Shen Yue pushed Qu Jingyun away and retreated behind Shen Cong.
Shen Cong protected Shen Yue, glancing warily at Qu Jingyun.
"Why are you suddenly being so nice to Yue'er? What are you planning to do?"
Seeing the wariness in her son's eyes, Qu Jingyun couldn't help but find it amusing.
Unable to hold back the bitterness in her heart, she asked, "Would you talk to Qi Yun'er like that?"
Shen Cong's expression stiffened for a moment, then he said seriously, "Although my aunt is very strict with us, she won't sell us out, but you..."
Shen Cong's eyes were filled with wariness.
Clearly, in his mind, he probably already sees himself as a ruthless person who only cares about profit.
Qu Jingyun gave a bitter smile.
"Alright, let's change the subject. Tell me, what do you think of the Fifth Prince?"
"The Fifth Prince is very kind; he brought me a lot of delicious food," Shen Yue whispered, speaking up for the Fifth Prince.
Qu Jingyun's face darkened with displeasure.
"Moon, whatever you want to eat, Mother can buy it for you. As for that Fifth Prince, stop liking him."
"Why?"
Shen Yue's eyes immediately reddened.
She said aggrievedly, "The Fifth Prince is very good. My cousin said I should marry the Fifth Prince. Everyone who wants to break us up is a bad person."
"Don't mention that family again." Qu Jingyun couldn't help but raise her voice.
She startled Shen Yue again.
Seeing this, a look of annoyance flashed in her eyes.
Shen Cong sneered, "For the past five years, you've ignored your family. But as soon as you come back, you start meddling in everything and causing panic among everyone. You've never treated us as your children. We're just tools for you to show off."
"Shut up!" Qu Jingyun snapped.
Xiao Liu returned after locking Qi Yun'er up and saw this scene.
Xiao Liu ran over and quickly pleaded for the brother and sister.
"Madam, the Second Young Master has been indoctrinated with some bad ideas by Madam Qi. Please teach him more."
After saying that, Xiao Liu explained to Shen Cong, "Second Young Master, the old lady is definitely doing this for your own good. Madam Qi is comparing you to her children outside, belittling you to the point of being worthless."
Shen Cong lowered his head and didn't say another word.
Seeing that her brother remained silent, Shen Yue didn't utter a single word either.
Qu Jingyun sighed and waved to the two of them.
"Alright, you can all go back now. What happened today has nothing to do with you. I'll teach you properly in the future."
After she finished speaking, she waved to the brother and sister.
Shen Cong immediately grabbed Shen Yue's hand and tried to leave.
Shen Yue suddenly stopped.
She turned around and looked timidly at Qu Jingyun.
When are you going to release your aunt?
Upon hearing this, Qu Jingyun took a deep breath.
She tried her best to control her temper and smiled as she looked at Shen Yue.
"Moon, your aunt made a mistake and should be punished. Don't say things like that again, okay?"
"But……"
"Moon, let's go." Shen Cong immediately interrupted her.
He carefully observed Qu Jingyun's expression.
Noticing that she was suppressing her temper, Shen Cong quickly led his men away.
After walking a distance, Shen Yue looked at Shen Cong with unease.
"Brother, we've been kicked out. Where are we going to stay?"
Shen Cong took a deep breath. "Let's go back to the woodshed. I hid a quilt there."
Anyway, they've always done it this way, so there's no big deal if they go back and stay there again.
"Brother," Shen Yue grabbed Shen Cong's arm, "I think Mother and Auntie say different things. Shall we go and talk to Mother again?"
"Moon".
Shen Cong's expression turned unusually serious.
Then Shen Cong spoke again: "That woman isn't as simple as you think. We have to be careful, understand?"
Seeing that Shen Cong was very hostile to Qu Jingyun, Shen Yue had no choice but to obediently lower her head.
Shen Cong ruffled his sister's hair.
"My little sister is so good."
Qu Jingyun came out and saw the interaction between the two.
Feeling somewhat guilty, she strode forward.
He looked at the two of them with a cold expression.
"That's where you live. I should be the one leaving. You should have just told me that it's your place and I should be the one leaving, do you understand?"
Shen Cong was slightly taken aback, his eyes filled with confusion.
He and his sister exchanged a glance, then looked at Qu Jingyun with uncertain eyes.
"Does Mother mean we can make that place our home?"
"Of course," Qu Jingyun nodded.
She softened her voice: "It's not just one courtyard, but the entire General's Mansion, it all belongs to you."
"Okay, I understand," Shen Cong said, bowing his head.
Judging from his expression, Qu Jingyun knew he hadn't listened to her. She sighed helplessly.
It's no use talking to them about this now; we still need to teach them the rules.
The next day.
Yin Xue walked in with two stern-looking old women.
"Mother, these are the nannies that I asked Mother to find for me. They all come from the palace and know a lot about etiquette. It would be perfect for them to teach Yue'er."
Upon hearing this, Qu Jingyun's eyes lit up.
She held Yin Xue's hand tightly and smiled, "It's a good thing you're here, otherwise I really don't know what to do."
Yin Xue blushed and lowered her head shyly.
"It is an honor for me as a daughter-in-law to be able to help my mother. My husband also said that he felt very sorry for my mother before and that he would change in the future. He will also let my younger brother and sister know how hard you have worked."
Qu Jingyun was somewhat surprised, but she quickly laughed again.
After all, Shen Song is his own son, so it's normal for him to side with him.
Seeing Qu Jingyun smile, Yin Xue breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, Qu Jingyun didn't ask any further questions.
Qu Jingyun immediately had Xiao Liu bring Shen Yue over.
As for Shen Cong, she is still looking for a husband for him.
