Qi Yun'er laughed awkwardly, having her intentions half-guessed.
"Sister, are you kidding me? There are so many people watching me, how could I possibly do such a thing?"
After all, she only wanted to secretly transfer the money, and then when the general's mansion was gone, she would take the money and her two children and run away.
Qu Jingyun's gaze was sharp, and her bright eyes made Qi Yun'er feel very guilty.
Qi Yun'er shook off her hand and pretended to be very angry.
"Fine, since my sister doesn't trust me at all, I'll stop caring about anything from now on."
After Qi Yun'er finished speaking, she stood behind the old lady and told her about her grievances.

Seeing that Qi Yun'er was happy, Qu Jingyun warned, "Don't get any funny ideas."
"Don't worry, I know," Qi Yun'er said dismissively.
After offering a few perfunctory words, Qi Yun'er left with the imperial edict.
Qu Jingyun glanced at the people in the hall, then lowered her head.
"I'm tired, you should all go back and rest early too."
She ignored everyone and left.
After most of the people had left, Shen Yue subconsciously walked towards the door.
If their father dies, the General's Mansion will be without support. Shouldn't they find someone to rely on?

"Miss, it's getting late, you should go back and rest." Qu Jiu stepped forward without anyone noticing, stopping Shen Yue who was about to leave.
Shen Yue raised her head in a daze.
Seeing that it was Qu Jingyun's bodyguard, Shen Yue withdrew her foot.
She smiled at Qu Jiu and then walked towards Tingyue Courtyard.

After Xiao Liu finished explaining the whole story, he then talked about what happened at the mansion that afternoon.
"Many people have gone out to deliver messages, and we'll have the results tomorrow."
Qu Jingyun gazed at the moonlight outside the window and let out a long sigh.
He then added, "I hope this scene will be a success."
Tonight is destined to be an extraordinary night.
Two days passed, and no one came to visit the general's mansion, nor did anyone take advantage of the situation.
Qu Jingyun had to kneel in the ancestral hall for two consecutive days, and the old lady also went there several times during that time.
But they just keep arguing every time.
Finally, someone arrived on the morning of the third day.
The person who came was the owner of Tianxianglou.
Upon seeing Qu Jingyun emerge, Boss Liu immediately asked, "Madam Chen, when do you plan to pay the money your General's Mansion owes to Tianxiang Restaurant?"
Qu Jingyun looked bewildered. "What money?"
Upon hearing this, Boss Liu sneered and immediately raised his voice.
"Madam Shen, although we shouldn't be so heartless since General Shen just died, you've gone too far. Are you planning to deny everything?"
After saying that, Boss Liu shouted to the villagers watching the commotion below the steps: "Fellow villagers, come and see! The officials are trying to embezzle a little bit of money from our restaurant. It's outrageous!"
Upon hearing this, everyone burst into laughter.
Xiao Liu quickly stepped in front of Qu Jingyun and said, "Boss Liu, you'd better speak properly. When did we ever owe your Tianxiang Restaurant any money?"
“It’s all written clearly in black and white here.”
After saying that, Boss Liu was about to hand the ledger to Xiao Liu.
Upon seeing this, Qi Yun'er hurriedly ran out.
She affectionately took Qu Jingyun's arm, "Sister, since it's money owed by the General's Mansion, let's pay it."
Qu Jingyun immediately pushed Qi Yun'er's arm away.
She frowned and carefully observed Qi Yun'er.
Qi Yun'er felt very uncomfortable being stared at, and her head drooped lower and lower.

Seeing that someone was on his side, Boss Liu immediately nodded.

She turned around and prepared to return to the general's mansion.
Seeing that the person was about to leave, Qi Yun'er quickly grabbed him.
"Sister, the Emperor just gave you some silver. If you have money, just give it to him."
"Qi Yun'er." Qu Jingyun swept a cold, warning glance over her. "Or would you have given it to me?"
Qi Yun'er immediately stepped back, "This is the money you owe, what does it have to do with me?"
Boss Liu sat down on the ground and acted arrogantly.
"You're not going to pay me back, huh? Fine, I'll just sit here and kill me if you dare."
More and more people gathered below to watch the spectacle.
The discussions grew louder and louder.
"The General's Mansion wouldn't have the money to pay for meals?"
"I've heard that the eldest young mistress has been using her dowry to subsidize the general's mansion for the past few years, so maybe they really are out of money."
"This is terrible. My husband just died, and now these debt collectors are here again. But this woman is quite pretty. If she's willing to come with me, I can help her pay her debts."
Suddenly, a cold, oppressive gaze swept over them.
The man immediately stopped his lewd smile, lowered his head, and dared not speak again.
Qu Jingyun then looked at Boss Liu.
"Go find whoever ate it."
Mr. Liu was somewhat bewildered and asked again, "Madam Shen, what do you mean by this? Are you really going to deny it?"
