The Fifth Prince let out a strange laugh.
He pulled her back and patted Shen Yue's face.
“Honey, don’t get your hopes up. Once you’ve stepped through this door today, I never intended for you to leave unscathed.”
After saying this, the Fifth Prince picked up the person and threw him onto the bed behind the screen.

"Impossible!" the Fifth Prince immediately retorted.
He looked at Shen Yue, who was now protected, and smiled wickedly.
"Madam Shen probably doesn't know this yet, but everyone knows that Shen Yue is my devoted admirer. Besides me, who else would dare to want her?"
Qu Jingyun let out another disdainful sneer.
"There's no need for the Fifth Prince to worry about that. Even if my daughter never gets married, I can support her for the rest of her life."
Shen Yue was so moved that she couldn't speak.
The Fifth Prince was stunned for a moment by Qu Jingyun's words.
Qu Jingyun stopped arguing with him and pulled Chen Yue away.

She raised her hand and gently stroked Shen Yue's cheek, softly comforting her, "It's alright, Mother is here now, it's alright."
After observing for a while and seeing that Qu Jingyun was not angry, Shen Yue spoke again: "I did not come to see the Fifth Prince. He kidnapped me. I was very obedient."
"Mother knows Yue'er is a good child. Let's go home now," Qu Jingyun said with a smile.
Shen Yue nodded obediently.

After watching the mother and daughter get into the carriage, the Fifth Prince turned to look at the guard kneeling on the ground.
