Chapter 12 First Encounter in the Cemetery

A girl gave up her comfortable life and resolutely went to the countryside to teach, but unfortunately contracted a serious illness and left this world in the prime of her life.

Even so, the girl still persisted in teaching in the rural area, her thoughts still filled with those children living in extremely poor conditions.

"Xinyi! Your sister misses you so much. If you were still here, you would be twenty-four years old this year..."

Boom!

Chen Feng's mind exploded. He was exactly twenty-four years old this year. Looking at the photo of the girl in front of the tombstone, who exuded a scholarly air and smiled like a spring breeze, he felt as if a stone was pressing on his heart.

He suddenly thought of a song, almost uncontrollably, and walked forward and picked up the expensive guitar.

When the girl realized someone was behind her, Chen Feng played a note on his guitar.

"Who are you?"

The girl stood up and looked at the strange man who had suddenly appeared beside her.

The moment she looked at Chen Feng, he felt as if he were looking at a landscape painting, or a refreshing breeze, which made him feel relaxed and happy.

Her eyes, still glistening with a faint sheen, blinked repeatedly, like morning dew, and paired with her elegant green dress, she exuded a refined and ethereal aura.

In his entire life, even after his consciousness traveled to Earth, Chen Feng had never seen a girl like this. If there was one, it would only be a character named Zhao Ling'er in an Earth TV series, who could overlap with the girl in front of him.

Her neat hair, pretty face, clear eyes, and crisp voice made Chen Feng almost forget his impulsive initial intentions.

It seemed like a long time before Chen Feng slowly came back to his senses. He looked down at the guitar in his hands and then at the tombstone.

"Can I sing her a song?"

After saying that, without waiting for the girl's agreement, he started playing the guitar.

You said you love lilacs the most.

"Because your name is it."

The girl, who had intended to stop Chen Feng, froze on the spot at the first word.

"This song..."

Just one line of lyrics was enough to make the girl's lips tremble slightly and her beautiful eyes slowly widen, because that first line of lyrics was just too fitting for the occasion.

"What a melancholy flower, what a sentimental person."

When the flowers wither

"When the image freezes..."

"How delicate the flower is, yet it cannot escape the wind and rain."

The moving melody, imbued with sorrow and lament, exudes a poignant atmosphere. Combined with Chen Feng's professional-level singing, the melody and vocals blend seamlessly, creating a perfect whole.

Like a soft whisper, like sighs.

But that one sentence, "How delicate the flower, yet it cannot escape the wind and rain," instantly caused the girl's tears to fall silently, like pearls falling from a broken string.

A gentle breeze was blowing, brushing her hair, touching her cheeks, and obscuring her eyes. She simply closed her eyes, her ears filled with the singing of the stranger opposite her, each note reaching her ears.

......

"So many beautiful dreams woven, and you left so hastily, leaving me with a lifetime of longing."

"The grave is covered in flowers; how much you longed for that beauty!"

"Look at the mountains and fields covered in flowers, do you still feel lonely?"

"Listen, someone is singing your favorite song."

"The hustle and bustle of cities will no longer be a concern."

......

"The hustle and bustle of cities will no longer be a concern."

As Chen Feng's soft singing ended, the song seemed to tell a complete story, recounting joys and sorrows, leaving the elegantly dressed girl standing there, mesmerized and unable to extricate herself.

She was deeply shaken, torn between longing and sorrow. Was this still a song?

Or is this what you call a song? What was she listening to before?

So this is how the song should be... no... this is how it should be.

The lyrics and music flow like water, capable of touching people's hearts. How many songs in this world can do that?

Chen Feng put down his guitar, and the energy in his heart seemed to slowly spread out with the song, disappearing into the sky. Reflecting on his life, if he hadn't consciously traveled through time, he would have become a grave.

Perhaps, given his family's circumstances, at most they could only transport him back to the mountains to become a solitary grave, the kind without even a tombstone.

Fortunately, fate was kind to him, giving him a kind of rebirth and storing up all the omnipotent knowledge of an entire parallel world for him.

He cannot afford to waste such an opportunity and good fortune; a perspective that stands in the vast universe and looks down upon humanity is unimaginable for ordinary people.

The music scene was merely a stepping stone for Chen Feng, who became entangled with Zhao Yashuang.

Across from her, the girl slowly opened her eyes, deftly smoothed her hair, and looked at the man who was gazing down the mountain, his eyes sometimes filled with sadness and sometimes with determination. Her lips parted slightly, and a clear voice slowly rang out.

"What's the name of this song?"

Lilac flowers.

(Note: "Lilac Flower" Original singer: Tang Lei Lyricist: Tang Lei Composer: Tang Lei)

Chen Feng turned his head, glanced at the girl in front of him, and quickly looked away, not daring to look any longer, because he felt that if he looked any longer, his heart would melt.

Did you write this yourself?

"yes."

"Thank you. I believe Xinyi will like it."

The girl looked at the photo in front of the tombstone, her eyes filled with endless longing and tenderness.

Chen Feng also stared at the tombstone, where the three characters "Li Xinyi" were clearly visible.

"She...is your sister?"

"Yes, but I'm only a month older than her..."

Seeing Chen Feng's puzzled expression, the girl continued, "Xinyi is adopted."

"oh!"

Chen Feng nodded. "Then... I'm leaving. Be careful on the mountain by yourself!"

Upon hearing this, the girl didn't respond, but instead squatted down again and rearranged the lilac flowers.

Chen Feng felt a little embarrassed and could only touch his nose and turn to walk down the mountain, while the girl behind him never looked back.

The two never asked each other's names, making it seem like a very unsuccessful chance encounter.

Chen Feng had walked quite a distance when a voice suddenly came from behind him, "Wait a minute!"

Chen Feng turned around, looked at the beautiful figure standing in front of the tombstone not far away, gazing at him, and asked, "What's wrong?"

"Could you take off your mask?"

"ah?"

Chen Feng was stunned for a long time, hesitated for a moment, and then took off his mask.

The other person's face seemed expressionless, and upon seeing Chen Feng's face, they simply nodded, indicating that it was alright.

This puzzled Chen Feng, but he put his mask back on and headed down the mountain.

Throughout the entire process, he never intended to ask the other person's name. Firstly, he had a phobia of women, and secondly, he had already come to understand a certain principle.

There is no such thing as love in this world. If there is, it is based on a huge material foundation. So before you have great strength, everything is just a mirage.

After Chen Feng left, two men in black suddenly appeared on the top of the cemetery hill next to the girl.

"Miss, would you like me to check this?"

The girl shook her head, looking down the mountain in the direction Chen Feng had gone, lost in thought.

......
