Chapter 286 Recommendation (8,000 words update!)

Chapter 286 Recommendation (8,000 words update!)

The matter concerning Lang Xia and Chen Wenwen was hotly debated online for two or three days, finally coming to an end with a statement from Lang Xia's agency.

In short, the statement means the following: This is Lang Xia's private matter, and it is inconvenient to explain it in detail to everyone, especially matters between men and women. Only the two of them know the details. Anything anyone says is just empty talk. Lang Xia has never done anything to wrong this girl. Their breakup and reunion were consensual.

This statement was neither polite nor did it have any "public relations" flavor; it was almost a response to the matter in the toughest terms.

It gives the impression that they are saying, "Lang Xia did cheat on her, but it was consensual, so no one can say anything about it."

The massive uproar caused by this statement was like Thor striking the earth with his hammer, sending sparks flying everywhere.

The entire internet is in an uproar.

-

Perhaps it's because it's really rare to see celebrities make such a response—

There was no rational restraint or emotional pleading; instead, he acted like a child who had given up on everything, the youngest in the family, spoiled and pampered by his parents since childhood, so he spoke and acted with a reckless willfulness.

Lang Xia's team's statement unexpectedly elicited a polarized response from public opinion.

One side cursed Lang Xia for being shameless, saying that he had deceived the girl's feelings in this situation, yet he shamelessly claimed it was "mutual consent," calling him a scoundrel.

The other party felt that Lang Xia's attitude was perfectly fine. In modern society, whether it's kissing or sleeping together, as long as you're not forced, it's a matter of mutual consent. The girl herself said that Lang Xia never said he liked her from beginning to end, so how could she be accused of deception? It's just the girl deceiving herself. It's better to part amicably than to write a long, hurtful essay about it.

This uproar made it seem like the whole world was focused on this one thing, and everyone had to comment on it.

The crew of "The Seventeenth Floor" also discussed this matter extensively.

Especially Chen Bige, Shen Yue, Lin Chan and the other girls.

"Although, we all know what's going on." Shen Yue shrugged, her expression conveying a clear understanding.

Chen Bige and Lin Chan both exchanged knowing smiles.

Li Yuefeng looked bewildered and asked, "What? What's going on?"

"Are you still pretending to be stupid?" Shen Yue looked at Li Yuefeng in disbelief.

Li Yuefeng's confusion deepened, and he said, "What do you mean by pretending to be stupid? I really don't know what you're talking about."

Shen Yue said, "It's just using his identity as a male actor to lure some naive young girls."

Li Yuefeng stared in shock, saying, "I never did that!"

Shen Yue rolled her eyes at him. "I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about Lang Xia."

“Oh, Lang Xia? I’m not familiar with Lang Xia, you’ll have to ask Lu Yanhe.” Li Yuefeng immediately threw the question to Lu Yanhe.

Lu Yanhe: "I'm not familiar with it either."

Li Yuefeng: "You've acted with him before, how can you not know him well?"

“I was filming with you too, so I don’t know if you’re single, if you have someone you like, or if you’re secretly dating someone. I don’t know anything about you,” Lu Yanhe said frankly.

Li Yuefeng's cheeks immediately turned a deep liver color.

"Hey, what do you mean?" He frowned.

Lu Yanhe: "What I want to say is that even if I have acted with someone, it doesn't mean that I am familiar with them. You always think that I am very familiar with Lang Xia. I know about his affairs. I have denied it many times. What can I do if you still say that?"

Everyone noticed that Lu Yanhe was a bit temperamental.

Li Yuefeng was stunned.

Lu Yanhe is usually very good-tempered and amiable on set, and has never had any conflicts with anyone.

So when he suddenly started speaking with a barbed tone, everyone would subconsciously think, "How angry must this person have made him to change his usual behavior?"

Chen Bige looked at Lu Yanhe, then at Li Yuefeng, and felt that as the main character and the most crucial actor in the play, she had an obligation to step forward and smooth things over at this moment.

“Indeed, just because you’ve acted together doesn’t mean you’ll become more familiar with each other,” Chen Bige said. “It’s rare for us to be together in almost every scene. It’s very rare to see a show like ‘The Seventeen Floors’ where almost everyone is in every scene. I’ve been acting for so long, and this is the first time I’ve ever done this. It’s a rare opportunity. In the past, when I worked on a show, the only time I could get along well with the one or two actors I had the most scenes with was with them.”

Shen Yue seemed oblivious to the slightly awkward atmosphere between Lu Yanhe and Li Yuefeng, and returned to talking about Lang Xia.

“With this kind of thing happening, quite a few people have started boycotting Phoenix TV,” Shen Yue said. “Will this show be affected?”

Lu Yanhe shook his head, "I haven't heard anything about it yet. Anyway, there are no plans to broadcast Phoenix TV for the time being. Once this storm passes, things should be fine. Lang Xia is not the lead actor in this drama."

Shen Yue nodded: "That's true."

The conversation moved on without returning to the conflict between Lu Yanhe and Li Yuefeng.

Lu Yanhe also felt some regret, wondering why he had acted impulsively and failed to control himself.

Li Yuefeng is just like that, he's known that way for a long time, why bother arguing with him?

Li Yuefeng is so petty; after this incident, he'll probably have a thorn in his side.

-

We finished filming early that day; all the scenes were shot before 6 p.m.

Chen Bige organized a dinner party for everyone.

She loves lively gatherings, so she often organizes a dinner party for everyone when she finishes work early.

Lu Yanhe would usually have meals with them, but he wouldn't participate in their subsequent activities.

He didn't want to be too antisocial, nor did he want to waste his time on these things.

He still has a lot to do.

Lu Yanhe removed his makeup, changed into his own clothes, and prepared to go over, only to find Li Yuefeng standing next to his lounge waiting for him.

"Yan He," he called out to him.

"Brother Feng," Lu Yanhe called out.

That's the downside of being young; you have to call everyone "brother" or "sister" wherever you go.

Li Yuefeng asked, "Were you angry that afternoon?"

Lu Yanhe was taken aback when Li Yuefeng asked him this question so directly.

"Uh, a little." Lu Yanhe didn't deny it and frankly admitted it.

Li Yuefeng nodded and said, "I didn't notice before you said that. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that. I just subconsciously thought you were close to Lang Xia. It's not that I don't trust you, it's just... I don't know how to say it. Maybe I'm just naturally a bit slow on the uptake and always overlook what others say."

Lu Yanhe was stunned.

He stared at Li Yuefeng in surprise, and didn't come to his senses for a long time.

Li Yuefeng...is he coming to apologize to him on his own initiative?

Li Yuefeng's words left Lu Yanhe speechless.

The main reason is that Lu Yanhe never expected Li Yuefeng to apologize to him.

This is something Li Yuefeng would never do.

"N-nothing." Lu Yanhe was at a loss for how to react and could only say that it was nothing.

Li Yuefeng: "Why don't you come with my car? I'll drive myself."

"Are you going to drink tonight? Are you driving?"

"Then we can just call a driver to pick us up."

Lu Yanhe: "Then just follow my car."

Zou Dong's car has already arrived.

Li Yuefeng nodded.

After getting into the car, Lu Yanhe still felt that something was off.

How did Li Yuefeng suddenly get into his car?

The two of them had never had a relationship like this before.

Why did Li Yuefeng seem to become a little closer to me after apologizing?

While Lu Yanhe was pondering this question, Li Yuefeng suddenly spoke up again, saying, "You really don't mind, do you?"

Lu Yanhe: "It's nothing much. I was a little annoyed before, but I don't know why you wouldn't listen even after I explained it several times. You always think that I have a good relationship with Lang Xia."

Li Yuefeng: "That's my problem. I just felt that way subconsciously."

"Brother Feng, do you usually become very close to people after filming a movie together?"

"Pretty much. I like going out with friends anyway. On set, it's not like 'The Seventeenth Floor,' where you have to wait a long time for your scene. Sometimes you have to wait for two or three scenes before it's your turn. So we just play games together, and we get to know each other better as we play," Li Yuefeng said. "At first, I felt a little uncomfortable on 'The Seventeenth Floor' because I saw that the filming schedule was very heavy every day. We had to be on set for almost every scene. Even when we weren't filming, we were all preparing. Everyone was very diligent."

Lu Yanhe smiled.

“I wanted to talk to the director and Sister Bige, but they didn’t have time,” Li Yuefeng added.

Lu Yanhe thought to himself, "So all you're thinking about is talking to the director and Sister Bige?"

-

Li Yuefeng probably didn't even realize that he was very good at "treating people differently based on their status".

At least for Yan Zhimeng and Lin Chan, two relatively unknown and inexperienced young actors, Lu Yanhe never saw Li Yuefeng take the initiative to contact them.

However, if you were to call it a problem, it wouldn't be considered a major one.

People tend to fawn over the powerful and belittle the weak; this is a flaw that many people possess to some degree.

Lu Yanhe had seen this in many people, but Li Yuefeng's case was just a little more obvious.

-

After having dinner with everyone, they were going to go sing karaoke, but Lu Yanhe didn't go. He said he had promised his fans a live stream later that night and went back to the hotel first.

Lu Yanhe has reduced his live streaming time now, but he still maintains a frequency of at least once a week.

As he gained popularity, the number of viewers in his live stream also increased.

Of course, 90% of them couldn't watch his live stream for more than half an hour.

After all, his live stream might not change for half an hour, he'd just be reading a book by himself.

After returning to the hotel today, Lu Yanhe continued to read.

He had already obtained the reading lists for each major course next semester from the senior students, so he needed to make the most of his time to read some of them beforehand, so as not to end up like in his freshman year, spending most of his free time in the study room or library because he had to cram for all the books he hadn't read before.

In the live stream, Lu Yanhe was seen sitting alone in a hotel reading a book. The scene was unusually quiet, but the chat was bustling with activity.

Lu Yanhe already has a group of fans who are very familiar with him in his live stream room. They will guide everyone to discuss some interesting topics in the barrage and help Lu Yanhe retain some viewers as much as possible.

He Lan is now one of Lu Yanhe's live stream administrators.

She specifically created a fan group for Lu Yanhe's live stream, where she would prepare topics, questions, or mini-games with everyone in advance, and then someone would start guiding them when Lu Yanhe went live.

Lu Yanhe was surprised to learn of their efforts and specially asked Helan to add him to the group chat so he could send everyone a red envelope as a token of his gratitude.

After receiving the red envelopes, everyone said: "The red envelopes are not important. What we want are autographed photos/autographed copies of 'Jump Up' and so on."

Lu Yanhe thought to himself: Then you guys shouldn't accept the red envelopes.

He muttered to himself, but still fulfilled everyone's wishes, preparing whatever they wanted and asking Helan to send it to them.

In short, thanks to everyone's efforts, Lu Yanhe's live stream is now quite interesting.

In particular, Helan organized a reading check-in group on Yemai.com, encouraging everyone to read with Lu Yanhe.

-

For Yemai.com, cooperating with Lu Yanhe is both a blessing and a curse.

Liu Qiao, the editor-in-chief of Yemai.com, has said this to Xin Zixing more than once.

"Lu Yanhe's appeal in the realm of literary and artistic works is truly unmatched by any other celebrity. However, all of our key branded works on Yemai.com are related to Lu Yanhe: the e-reading is 'Jump Up,' the documentary is 'City Travelogue,' and the community discussion group is Lu Yanhe's reading check-in group and the editorial club of 'Jump Up' editorial team. Can't we cultivate a second or even a third artist with whom we have such in-depth collaborations?"

Xin Zixing said, "Editor-in-chief, if we want to cultivate a second or even a third artist with whom we can have such in-depth cooperation, and even if this artist can be recognized by our users, it's not that there aren't enough artists, it's that there aren't many artists who truly love art and literature. They're all just pretentious. We can't find another one who truly loves art and literature and is as popular as Lu Yanhe. Do you think there aren't other websites that want to follow the example of 'Jump Up' and do e-reading? They've searched the entire entertainment industry and can't find another artist who can serve as editor-in-chief."

Liu Qiao sighed, feeling utterly helpless.

Xin Zixing said, "Personally, I admire artists like Lu Yanhe and consider myself his friend. Publicly, if Yemai.com wants to become an influential and value-leading arts and culture website, as we aim, it inevitably needs several people like Lu Yanhe to be deeply integrated with us. The most important thing is that such people need to be recognized by everyone, rather than us forcibly establishing such a person. You saw the effect of the artists you found to record 'City Travelogue' before; people simply didn't buy it and didn't accept it."

Liu Qiao: "I'm worried that one day Lu Yanhe will stop cooperating with Yemai.com, what will we do then?"

Xin Zixing said, "Then why can't we consider and find ways to get Lu Yanhe to cooperate with us long-term or even forever?"

Liu Qiao was taken aback.

Xin Zixing said, "Moreover, there's no need to rush to distance ourselves from Lu Yanhe right now. To be honest, Lu Yanhe didn't care about the last 'City Travelogue' incident because he really didn't need the 'City Travelogue' program. Between the two, we need him more. But if something like this happens a few more times, Lu Yanhe may not have any objections, but his agent, Chen Ziyan, is not someone to be trifled with."

Liu Qiao pondered for a moment, then sighed.

Xin Zixing said, "Editor-in-chief, you know that our website's users are growing rapidly because of Lu Yanhe. I don't know what the website's senior management is thinking, but as the frontline staff who liaises with Lu Yanhe, I only have one thing to say: if everyone continues to treat Lu Yanhe as an ordinary collaborator, then one day, it will be Yemai.com that suffers."

Liu Qiao nodded.

"You've worked hard these past six months," Liu Qiao said. "In any case, the higher-ups know about your contributions and achievements. From what I've heard, a senior executive will probably talk to you in September and promote you."

"Wow!" Xin Zixing's eyes lit up. "Thank you so much, Editor-in-Chief, for speaking up for me."

Liu Qiao pointed at Xin Zixing with his finger and said, "If I didn't speak well of you after you've done this much, what kind of deity would I have to be so kind as to ask you to speak well?"

The two looked at each other and smiled.

Liu Qiao circled back to the point, saying, "However, Xiao Xing, I still have to say that for your future plans, you need to find more partners instead of focusing all your energy on cooperating with Lu Yanhe. Ultimately, you also need to build up your own resources."

Xin Zixing understood what Liu Qiao meant.

"Editor-in-chief, I understand. Don't worry, I will."

-

"Chen Wenwen has been dealt with. She has signed a hush agreement and will not cause any more trouble in the future."

He Yingzi looked at Lang Xia helplessly, "You should also be more self-disciplined in the future. Your father entrusted you to me, not so that you would pick up all the bad habits of the entertainment industry."

Lang Xia frowned and said, "We just hit it off during that time. It was consensual. What kind of bad habit is that? I didn't do anything else."

“Things have escalated to this point, so you must have some issues of your own. If things had been handled properly, this kind of thing would never have happened, right?” He Yingzi asked.

Lang Xia had nothing to say.

Because He Yingzi was indeed right.

He Yingzi: "However, this matter is really not your fault. The matter has been clarified. We were caught in an undeserved disaster. We were completely affected by the struggle between the crew and Liu Biao."

Lang Xia: "That's right. Now everyone on the internet knows that Lu Yanhe is a genius actor, while I'm a stupid actor that Director Chen Lingling always scolds."

Lang Xia looked dejected and annoyed.

He Yingzi looked at Lang Xia helplessly and said, "What can we do? You dumped Chen Wenwen and handled it so badly. She's holding a grudge, so of course she'll do whatever makes you unhappy and deliberately say things to make you angry."

Lang Xia: "Sister Yingzi, is it really true that my acting is not as good as Lu Yanhe's?"

"What nonsense are you talking about? If you didn't have acting talent, why would I take you under my wing? There are plenty of artists who have asked me to take them under my wing through connections, and many of them are more famous and talented than your father. Why did I choose you?" He Yingzi rolled her eyes. "Don't you believe in yourself? Don't you believe in my eyes?"

Lang Xia secretly breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing He Yingzi's tone.

However, Lang Xia did not realize that He Yingzi did not directly answer whether his acting was inferior to Lu Yanhe's.

He Yingzi's answer was somewhat evasive.

-

"Lu Yanhe acts so well, he's talented, everyone says so. If this trend continues, we won't be able to be young male actors for the next five years, because we can't beat Lu Yanhe anyway, don't you think?"

He Yingzi laughed and joked on the phone, "Oh dear, it's really frustrating. You understand my feelings best. I finally found a very good prospect, but his luck isn't as good as Lu Yanhe's. He got to take the Zhenhua exam, work on a magazine, and even win an award. To be honest, was his performance in 'The Golden Age' really that good? Good enough to win an award at nineteen? I don't think so. It's just that the Golden Tripod Awards haven't really produced any young actors in recent years, so they need to establish this kind of image. If you had mentored He Song and he had played a good role, then He Song would have won the award. It's just that the Golden Tripod Awards need such an actor, and Lu Yanhe just happened to be in the running. But outsiders don't understand. People will just think that Lu Yanhe has a lot of talent and can win the Golden Tripod Award at nineteen."

He Yingzi was on the phone with He Song's agent, Liu Feige.

Liu Feige laughed several times and asked, "What do you plan to do about Yingzi?"

"What do I need to do? I'm just here to ask you for advice."

"Come on, we're already so close, why are you pretending? Tell me, what are you planning to do?" Liu Feige asked. "We're all in this together, we can't just let Lu Yanhe suppress our actors and get ahead like this."

He Yingzi smiled and said, "You're right. I think that even though he acted well, our actors also performed well. At least we can't let him make a name for himself, don't you think?"

Liu Feige: "You mean, our alliance?"

"Our two families aren't enough."

"Then let's ask Wu Bai again. He has several male actors in their twenties under his wing, and he'll be even more anxious than we are," Liu Feige said. "Isn't Li Yuefeng acting with Lu Yanhe right now? He's the best at climbing the ladder by stepping on others; he loves to freeload."

He Yingzi: "If we're going to mooch off each other, let's all mooch off each other."

Liu Feige: "Okay, I'll talk to Wu Bai. You find a few more suitable people, and we can have a meal together later to discuss it properly."

"I knew I'd only trust you," He Yingzi said with a smile. "One phone call was all it took to make things clear."

Liu Feige: "Hang up."

-

Some agents are busy behind the scenes manipulating other artists to prevent them from gaining popularity.

Some agents hold several trump cards and focus entirely on balancing the relationships between artists, ensuring that none are favored over the others.

Zhou Pingan told Li Zhibai, "If you act well in 'The Ballad of Baiyu,' it will be a hit."

Li Zhibai glanced at him and said, "Oh, so now that you have Ma Zhiyuan, you're making me focus on being an actor, right? I just came out of one film crew and you've already got another role for me."

Zhou Ping'an: "..."

You have to admit, Li Zhibai is incredibly clever and perceptive.

"How could that be? You're really something. Before, when I let you do commercial performances, you complained that I didn't let you get acting roles and that I only treated you as a money-making machine. Now that I've let you get acting roles, you're saying these things again. You're hurting my feelings."

"Take back what you said right now, or I'll feel so nauseous I'll throw up my lunch." Li Zhibai didn't believe a word Zhou Ping'an said. "Isn't it just that Ma Zhiyuan is here, so they're giving him the best stage resources first? And they're afraid I'll rebel, so they changed my track, right?"

Zhou Ping'an: "If you're willing to continue performing on stage, I won't give you any more acting roles. That's incredibly heartless of you to say."

Li Zhibai stared blankly into Zhou Ping'an's eyes for a second, then two seconds.

Zhou Ping'an's face was almost crumbling.

Li Zhibai suddenly let out a dry heaving sound.

Zhou Ping'an: "..."

However, after this incident, Li Zhibai did not dwell on the matter further. Instead, he said, "For the show 'Idol Era,' you need to find me a better team and make me two new songs. Don't always make me sing those old songs that I've sung countless times. What kind of idol is that?"

Zhou Ping'an: "I've already found someone to do it, don't worry."

"What about the songs I collaborated on with Cheng Hai and Yan Liang?"

“We’re working on it too.” Zhou Ping’an sighed. “Why are you suddenly so interested in ‘Idol Era’? I’ve already told you, we only put you on the show for two or three episodes to give people some exposure. Your focus this year is on acting.”

“My focus this year is on filming, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be performing on stage this year.” Li Zhibai rolled his eyes at Zhou Ping’an. “I’m not a full-time actor.”

Zhou Ping'an said, "Your acting talent is no less than Lu Yanhe's, so why don't you put more effort into acting?"

"Then what kind of dramas are you getting me cast in? They're all idol dramas, either modern idol dramas, fantasy idol dramas, or ancient costume dramas. How am I supposed to hone my acting skills like that?" Li Zhibai looked at Zhou Ping'an with disdain. "You're obviously trying to get me to take the traffic route, so don't try to lure me into becoming a serious actor."

Zhou Ping'an: "..."

Li Zhibai added, "I don't dislike the traffic route. I quite like being a traffic star. So, I'll act, and I'll perform on stage. Don't give me any nonsense. If Ma Zhiyuan can get the resources, why can't I, Li Zhibai? What's wrong with me? Don't try this kind of balancing act. Be careful, or I'll find two people to put a sack over your head and beat you up."

Zhou Ping'an: "...Does your father know about your outrageous behavior?"

“If my dad knew how unfairly you treated me, he would be even more outrageous than me, believe it or not?” Li Zhibai looked at him coldly.

Zhou Ping'an: "...I'm really guilty of having an artist like you."

"You should be grateful to have an artist like me as your cash cow. If it weren't for Cheng Hai and me supporting you for several years, do you think you would have a chance to manage that kid Ma Zhiyuan?" Li Zhibai snorted. "Don't forget your roots. You made your fortune here."

Zhou Pingan took a deep breath. "Forget it, I'm not going to talk to you anymore. If I keep talking to you, I might as well end up in the hospital with high blood pressure."

He began to silently recite the meditation mantra to himself.

Li Zhibai pursed his lips, drove off in his own car.

Halfway there, he called Yan Liang: "Where are you?"

Yan Liang: "On my way to see the director."

"You don't have any plans for tonight, right? If you don't have any, please make time for me. I'm having dinner with the director of 'Washe,' so you can come with me. I don't have anything to talk about with him by myself."

“Oh, sure, perfect, let someone meet me.” Yan Liang immediately agreed.

"Okay, I'll head back to Ziyuan Bridge first. Call me when you're done, and I'll pick you up and head straight there."

"good."

-

Lu Yanhe thought about it carefully for a long time and decided to give up the role in "Nineteen Years of Crime Records".

He told Chen Ziyan, "Sister Ziyan, I'm not going to act in this movie."

"Have you thought it through?"

"Yes, I've thought it through," Lu Yanhe said. "Although they said they could accommodate my schedule, it's still not a good idea."

Chen Ziyan: "Okay, then I'll turn them down."

Lu Yanhe: "Wait, Sister Ziyan, there's one more thing."

"Um?"

Lu Yanhe said, "If I don't take this role, could you recommend Li Zhibai and Yan Liang to the production company?"

"Huh?" Chen Ziyan was taken aback.

“Actually, they are both quite suitable for this role. After reading the script, I realized that if I can play it, they can play it too. The three of us are actually quite similar in appearance,” Lu Yanhe said.

Chen Ziyan: "I'll give it a try, but people might not listen to my opinion."

"It's alright, just make a recommendation and let them consider it. Maybe they'll think it's suitable too," Lu Yanhe said.

Chen Ziyan: "Aren't you afraid your two friends will mind?"

"What do you mind?"

"Recommend them to play roles you don't want to play."

“They won’t misunderstand. They know I really like this novel and this story. It’s not that I didn’t want to play this role, it’s just that my schedule wasn’t right.” Lu Yanhe said confidently, “They won’t misunderstand me.”

Chen Ziyan: "This isn't something you can just assume you can do, but it's okay, I'll recommend it to them in my name, that's all."

"Thank you, Sister Ziyan," Lu Yanhe said.

After hanging up the phone, Lu Yanhe looked at the plans on his notebook.

The dramas I've already taken on include "Miss Ning" and "Late Spring." The dramas I want to take on include Hu Siwei's weekly sitcom. As a screenwriter, I need to follow up on Jia Long's "Lost in Thailand," as well as "Raise the Red Lantern" and "Rouge," which I'll be working on with Chen Bige.

This is the reason why Lu Yanhe decided to abandon "Nineteen Years of Criminal Records" after thinking about it for a long time.

time.

There simply isn't enough time.

Lu Yanhe doesn't have that much time to do so many things; he has to make choices.

Therefore, one cannot back out of a project already promised. Compared to "Nineteen Years of Crime Records," Lu Yanhe is more optimistic about Hu Siwei's weekly sitcom, even though it has a great deal of risk.

However, Lu Yanhe felt that once this drama became a hit, it would become one of his most outstanding representative works.

Any sitcom that becomes a hit will become the representative work of the lead actors for their entire careers.

This drama is clearly more suitable for Lu Yanhe, who is currently in college.

With only eight episodes per season and each episode lasting only twenty minutes, Lu Yanhe could use his free time outside of school to film his scenes, even during regular school hours.

However, "Nineteen Years of Crime Records" is different. Even if his schedule is completely accommodated, it would be impossible to film such a movie without more than two months of filming time for the lead actor. If something like what happened with Zhen Hongyu in "Phoenix Terrace" happens again and filming has to be delayed, Lu Yanhe would have to sacrifice his studies.
