Chapter 328 At This Age, This Movie (9,000-word update!)

Chapter 328 At This Age, This Movie (9,000-word update!)

Lu Yanhe walked around the house, rummaged through the refrigerator, and looked in the cabinets, but because everyone had been too busy lately, no one had stocked up on food, and he couldn't find anything.

He had no choice but to go downstairs and find food outside.

Most of the residents of Ziyuan Bridge are wealthy young people—the rent here is really expensive. Even though Lu Yanhe is making a lot of money now, he still feels the pinch when he thinks about the rent here.

If it weren't for the fact that the three of them were living together, and he had to spend so much money to live here by himself, he would have moved back to the student dormitory overnight.

There's no way around it; I've been poor for too long, and I've never been able to break my spending habits overnight.

Lu Yanhe didn't know who lived here, but it was mostly young people. Everyone knew that Lu Yanhe and his friends lived here. After all, they were bound to run into each other a few times.

Lu Yanhe went out to find food wearing a baseball cap and a mask, but the disguise was almost useless. He was recognized as soon as he entered a restaurant.

"Lu Yanhe!" A ten-year-old girl pointed at him and shouted loudly.

Then, everyone in the entire restaurant looked over.

Lu Yanhe: "..."

He awkwardly raised his hand, waved to the little girl, forced a smile, and said, "Hello, little sister!"

The little girl jumped up from the stool, ran up to Lu Yanhe, and said, "Can I take a picture with you?"

The little girl had a childlike face.

Lu Yanhe nodded and said, "Of course."

She immediately turned to her mother excitedly and said, "Mom, quickly take a picture of me!"

The girl's mother gave Lu Yanhe a grateful smile and took out her phone.

Lu Yanhe squatted down, gently put his arm around the little girl's shoulder, took off his mask, and smiled at the camera.

-

After taking a photo with the girl, Lu Yanhe found an empty seat and ordered a dish and a soup.

While waiting for the food to be served, he took out his phone again and studied the photos Helan had sent him the night before, as well as the forum called "Spring Sprout".

He registered on the forum and casually browsed through it. What he found there was quite shocking.

Because, although many of the revelations inside did not name names, Lu Yanhe knew that they were true.

Some of the revelations didn't seem fake to Lu Yanhe. Based on his understanding of the entertainment industry, they sounded quite plausible.

No wonder Helan was so nervous to send him this forum.

Lu Yanhe searched for the names of several friends around him to see if there were any related revelations on this forum.

This search yielded quite a few results.

For example, Jiang Yuqian, the most talked about things in the forum are what she did in the past to compete for roles and dramas, such as meeting the director for dinner every week, giving the producer a painting with high collection value, organizing birthday parties for the screenwriter, and so on.

After reading it, Lu Yanhe had only one feeling: this really sounded like something Sister Yuqian would do.

It doesn't seem fabricated.

Jiang Yuqian is a person with strong execution ability who will try every means to achieve her goals.

She doesn't care much about her status as a big star or her airs; she can let go of them when necessary.

As for Zeng Qiao, it's even more true.

Zeng Qiao is actually quite self-important. He's not a bad person, but he often looks down on some popular celebrities. He considers himself a down-to-earth actor who has made his name through solid acting skills, unlike those celebrities who become famous by relying on their looks or hype. He once ignored a popular celebrity backstage at an event.

Although Lu Yanhe had worked with him on "Phoenix Terrace" and they had a good relationship, to some extent, he also had this impression of Zeng Qiao.

...

Speaking of Yan Liang, some say he's a genuinely good person. Lu Yanhe and Li Zhibai are known to be close to him, but before his success on "Friends," he was the only one who wasn't famous. Under these circumstances, he often encountered people who ridiculed him, saying he wasn't as good as his two friends, or that he was just riding on their coattails. However, Yan Liang never said anything bad about them behind their backs, unlike some two-faced celebrities.

Lu Yanhe was taken aback.

He never expected that Yan Liang had previously encountered people who used Li Zhibai and others to mock him because he wasn't famous.

What's wrong with these people's brains?

Lu Yanhe was looking at the dishes when they arrived.

He put down his phone for a while and ate.

I was indeed hungry.

As I was eating, a voice sounded from behind me: "It's him! Look, he's sitting right there!"

The moment Lu Yanhe heard those words, he instinctively felt that they were directed at him.

Who will come looking for him?

Lu Yanhe paused slightly while eating. At that moment, a young man with dyed yellow hair came up to him with a big smile and greeted him: "Hi, Lu Yanhe, how are you? I didn't expect it to really be you! When they told me you were eating at this restaurant, I couldn't believe it. I was doing a live stream outside the restaurant just now. Can I say hello to my viewers?"

Lu Yanhe had just eaten a meatball and was still chewing it.

He stared in shock at the boy who had suddenly appeared before him, and at the phone mounted on a selfie stick, which was live-streaming.

The boy in front of me... really does look like just a boy.

He was very young, with a youthful and innocent look, yet full of vitality.

"Who are you?"

The other person immediately said, "Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Wang Xianyu!"

"Wang... Salted Fish?" Lu Yanhe felt strange upon hearing this name and asked incredulously.

“That’s right, you probably don’t know me, but that’s okay. You’re welcome to watch my live streams in the future!” Wang Xianyu said very proactively. “We’re on the same live streaming platform. I decided to become a streamer after watching your live stream!”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yanhe gave a surprised "Oh," and asked, "What kind of content are you livestreaming?"

Wang Xianyu said, "I just wander around the streets every day and livestream my shopping trips."

Lu Yanhe showed a look of shock again.

Even live-streaming shopping trips?

He was somewhat amused and exasperated, saying, "I think I know why everyone is so surprised to see me doing my homework and reading live every day."

Wang Xianyu quickly shook his head and said, "No, no, no, I really enjoy watching you study on your live stream. It gives me a sense of satisfaction that I'm studying along with you."

Lu Yanhe didn't think Wang Xianyu was very old.

"How old are you this year?"

"Sixteen," Wang Xianyu said immediately.

"Sixteen?" Lu Yanhe asked. "So you're still in high school? Don't you have class today?"

“What classes? I started working after graduating from junior high school,” Wang Xianyu said immediately. “But there weren’t any good jobs for me. Then I saw your live stream, so I started doing live streams too. There weren’t any good ones to stream either, so I streamed myself shopping. Oh, now there’s a term called ‘city walk’!”

Lu Yanhe stared at him in surprise, stunned.

Did you start working right after graduating from junior high school?

Wang Xianyu is clearly an optimist; he's been chattering away ever since he appeared.

"Brother Lu—by the way, may I call you Brother Lu?"

Seeing the other person's overly familiar behavior, Lu Yanhe subconsciously nodded.

Wang Xianyu immediately flashed a bright smile, "Everyone says you're a good person, I didn't expect you to be really that good! Last time I met a celebrity, I greeted him, and he had his bodyguard kick me out."

Lu Yanhe grunted and said, "I just came out to eat alone without a bodyguard. Your sudden appearance startled me. If my bodyguard were here, he would have definitely chased you away."

Wang Xianyu paused for a moment, looked at Lu Yanhe blankly, stammered twice, and said, "But I'm not a bad person, why are you kicking me out?"

Seeing Wang Xianyu's expression, Lu Yanhe didn't know what to say.

“Uh, just kidding,” he said. “Have you had lunch?”

Wang Xianyu shook his head, "Not yet."

Lu Yanhe asked, "Would you like to eat something with me?"

Wang Xianyu's face lit up with surprise. "Really? You're so kind!"

Lu Yanhe pointed to the phone that Wang Xianyu was using to livestream and asked, "Are you going to keep this on all the time?"

Wang Xianyu nodded and said, "I promised them I would stream for them for at least twelve hours every day. And since I finally met you and was able to have you in my stream, I want it to go on a little longer! That way, more and more people will come to my stream!"

Wang Xianyu looked excited.

Upon hearing this, Lu Yanhe felt somewhat uncomfortable, but he acquiesced.

Lu Yanhe asked, "Wang Xianyu is probably just your online name, not your real name?"

Wang Xianyu nodded and said, "Of course, but I like this name. I don't like people calling me by my real name."

Lu Yanhe asked, "Then may I ask what your real name is?"

"Wang Biao, the 'Biao' in 'fierce'."

Looking at the short and thin Wang Biao, Lu Yanhe found it hard to associate him with the character "Biao".

"Okay," Lu Yanhe asked, "So you'll be doing live streams every day now?"

Wang Xianyu—no, it should be Wang Biao—nodded, took out a tripod from his bag, and was about to fix the phone in place.

Lu Yanhe saw it and couldn't help but sigh inwardly, "The equipment is quite complete."

Lu Yanhe waved his hand, ordered two more dishes from the waiter, and asked for another set of chopsticks and bowls.

After Wang Biao set up his phone, he suddenly remembered something and cautiously asked Lu Yanhe, "Brother Lu, are you treating me to lunch?"

Lu Yanhe nodded, "Of course."

Wang Biao immediately patted his chest and said, "That's good. I just paid the rent and only have twenty yuan left. I can't afford to eat so much food."

"How much do you earn in a month if you do live streaming?" Lu Yanhe asked.

Wang Biao said, "It's about a thousand, I guess. I can only rely on everyone's tips."

"Then... haven't you thought about getting a more stable job? That way, the money you earn will be more stable."

Wang Biao shook his head, "It's not that I don't want to do it, but everyone thinks I'm too young and only graduated from junior high school. Not many places want me, and the places that do want me don't pay as well as I do live streaming myself, even though I've only been doing it for three months."

He told Lu Yanhe, "But I believe that as long as I persevere, things will definitely get better and better!"

Lu Yanhe smiled at Wang Biao.

"Look, I'm so lucky to have met you today!" Wang Biao said. "My live stream suddenly gained more than two thousand viewers. Family, don't just spam the chat, give me a few bites! I'll need your donations for tomorrow's meals!"

Wang Biao spoke the last two sentences directly into his phone.

Lu Yanhe noticed that some people around him showed slight disdain when they heard Wang Biao say the last two sentences.

Lu Yanhe understood why they looked at him with disdain.

Many people believe that those who do live streaming online are, to some extent, begging in disguise—not to mention what Wang Biao just said outright.

Wang Biao was completely unaware that his words had offended many people.

Looking at Wang Biao, Lu Yanhe couldn't help but start thinking about something: why didn't he drive Wang Biao away from the beginning?

-

Lu Yanhe always knew that people can't always be good-tempered.

He didn't see himself as a pushover or a good-tempered person who could tolerate anything.

Actually, the first two sentences he said to Wang Biao were barbed.

What changed his attitude was precisely Wang Biao's attitude.

He seemed completely oblivious to his wariness, defensiveness, and distance, instead acting very familiar and enthusiastic, with a pleasing smile on his face.

In addition, Wang Biao looks very young.

For a fleeting moment, Lu Yanhe felt a pang of pity. Some people, you can tell at a glance, come from a less-than-ideal upbringing and have to put in a lot of effort to even appear in your world.

After talking with Wang Biao, Lu Yanhe became even more certain of his judgment.

Why did I feel compassion?

In that instant, Lu Yanhe realized that if his original self hadn't participated in that idol program, perhaps his original self would be like Wang Biao now.

Lu Yanhe treated Wang Biao to lunch and then formally greeted the viewers in Wang Biao's live stream.

"I have to go back now, I have things to do this afternoon."

Wang Biao immediately thanked Lu Yanhe and said goodbye.

"Thank you, Brother Lu!" Wang Biao followed Lu Yanhe out of the restaurant. After Lu Yanhe had walked several steps forward, he looked back and saw that Wang Biao was still standing there waving vigorously at him.

Lu Yanhe smiled and waved.

-

At 2 p.m. sharp, Chen Ziyan rang the doorbell.

Lu Yanhe opened the door for her.

Chen Ziyan took off her sunglasses, glanced at him helplessly, and said, "You really have too much free time. You even had lunch with some unknown internet celebrity in such a good mood."

Lu Yanhe was somewhat surprised, "Did this become a trending topic?"

“I didn’t make it onto the trending topics list. That’s what the company’s public opinion monitoring department told me,” Chen Ziyan said. “But I figured it was only a matter of time before it trended. That live streaming platform couldn’t possibly miss out on this wave of popularity to drive traffic. Even if it didn’t trend, they would buy it for you.”

Lu Yanhe smiled sheepishly, "I was just thinking that it was a small favor, and it would be nice to help that kid."

Chen Ziyan said, "You're overthinking it. After this incident, that boy's account will definitely be banned."

"Why?" Lu Yanhe was taken aback.

Chen Ziyan: "You asked him how old he was, and he said he was sixteen. What do you think? Minors are not allowed to do live streaming. It was a regulation that came out last year."

Lu Yanhe stared wide-eyed in disbelief.

"ah?"

Chen Ziyan: "So, his live stream was usually lukewarm, so the platform turned a blind eye. Now that it's been exposed so much, the platform definitely has to close his account in accordance with the rules."

Lu Yanhe immediately felt depressed.

He ended up doing more harm than good.

If he hadn't asked that question, things might have been fine.

Chen Ziyan said, "However, it may not be a bad thing. He started working after graduating from junior high school, so his family must not be well-off. Instead of making a living by doing live streams, he might as well learn a skill while he is still young."

Lu Yanhe said, "Sister Ziyan, he may not have the opportunity to learn a skill."

Chen Ziyan looked at him with some confusion.

Lu Yanhe said, "I just feel that not everyone has the opportunity to get what we take for granted, so I couldn't help but want to cooperate with him and help him with his live stream."

"It's good that you have this idea, but there are so many people in the world who need your help. Do you want to help them all one by one?"

"If I encounter someone and can help them, I'll lend a hand whenever I can. I'm willing to help them one by one."

Chen Ziyan was stunned by Lu Yanhe's words and stared at him for a long time.

"Are you kidding me?"

Chen Ziyan knew that Lu Yanhe was kinder, warm-hearted, and sentimental than most people, but she never expected that he would be this kind.

For a moment, Chen Ziyan even thought, "Do you have to be so saintly?" However, given Lu Yanhe's usual behavior, Chen Ziyan couldn't bring herself to call him "saintly." He was a typical person who repaid kindness with kindness and resentment with resentment, and was never soft-hearted.

Chen Ziyan couldn't bring herself to say those three words to someone who only softens their heart towards those they can soften towards.

"Sister Ziyan, don't worry about me. I know what I'm doing. I won't be a clueless fool helping everyone I see. I'm not that diligent." Lu Yanhe quickly said to Chen Ziyan, "Sister Ziyan, you said you wanted to talk to me in person about something. What is it?"

Chen Ziyan sat down, took out an agreement of about twenty pages from her bag, and gestured for Lu Yanhe to look at it.

"Read this carefully first, I'll go make coffee." She handed the agreement to Lu Yanhe and got up to make coffee.

She had been to this room many times and knew it very well. She knew what was there and where everything was.

Lu Yanhe took a look and saw that it was their cooperation framework agreement with Aurora Video.

After nearly two months of communication, a formal version of the agreement has finally been finalized.

It took Lu Yanhe almost twenty minutes to finish reading it.

Chen Ziyan has already brewed the coffee.

"Finished watching?"

"Yes." Lu Yanhe nodded. "The conditions are very good."

Chen Ziyan nodded, "President Lin has shown great sincerity. It's clear that he really values you and wants to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with you. He even agreed to keep the copyright in your own hands, as long as you have the exclusive broadcasting rights."

In short, the copyright of every work that Lu Yanhe collaborates on with Aurora Video as a screenwriter belongs to Lu Yanhe and his company. Only the broadcasting rights of the filmed works belong exclusively to Aurora Video. Lu Yanhe can also make other derivative developments based on the works in the future.

This is quite unusual for a video platform—although many people understand a script as the work of a screenwriter, just as a novel is the work of a novelist. A novelist may grant the film and television rights to a company, but can still pursue other derivative developments, such as publishing, games, etc., and even after the five- or eight-year film and television rights expire, the novelist can re-license them to other companies for production. Many people believe that the same applies to screenplays for screenwriters.

However, this is not the case. Generally speaking, screenwriters sign commissioned creation agreements with film and television companies. Even if the screenwriter comes up with the entire script from concept to story, it is still a commissioned creation agreement, making it difficult to keep the copyright in their own hands.

Chen Ziyan said, "Moreover, we are just a shell company right now, an empty shell, yet they are willing to take out 50 million to register, and only want 30% of our shares. They are very sincere."

Lu Yanhe understood Chen Ziyan's meaning. From Lu Yanhe's perspective, the Linghe Film and Television Production Company he and Chen Ziyan had established would later own the copyrights to dramas such as "Lost in Thailand," "The Squid Game," "My Own Swordsman," and "Raise the Red Lantern," with a promising future. However, from Lin Desheng's perspective, Linghe Film and Television Production Company was essentially an empty shell company with nothing yet. His decision to spend 50 million yuan to buy 30% of the shares was a huge gamble.

Lu Yanhe frowned slightly, shook his head, and said, "Sister Ziyan, 30% of the shares is too much. At this stage, I don't actually need their investment, and our company doesn't need to invest anything. Fifty million is a lot, but is it necessary for us at this stage? We don't need to produce our own films and TV series."

Chen Ziyan was surprised that Lu Yanhe was not moved at all.

"Yan He, are you trying to turn this fifty million away?"

“What I’m trying to say is that maybe in just one year, Sister Ziyan, you’ll realize that we’ve made a huge mistake by spending 50 million to buy 30% of the shares,” Lu Yanhe said earnestly. “I know very well that I can earn far more than that amount from every project I produce through this company in the future.”

Looking at Lu Yanhe's serious face, Chen Ziyan really wanted to say, "Are you crazy?"

The film and television industry is indeed a high-return industry, but it is also a high-risk industry.

There are countless examples of film and television projects failing to generate enough revenue to bankrupt a company.

However, Chen Ziyan also seriously considered what Lu Yanhe said and felt that what he said made sense.

Their production company was merely a shell company in name only; they had no plans to independently produce any projects in the short term. Its initial purpose was simply to facilitate involvement in Lu Yanhe's scripts and the projects he was to star in. It didn't require much capital to maintain operations, let alone cash flow.

From the perspective of the company's current situation, Chen Ziyan naturally felt that the 50 million was a high return and that it was a good thing to cash it out as soon as possible.

But Lu Yanhe clearly had a longer-term plan and expectations for this company.

The two sides have different expectations, so their attitudes toward the 50 million are also different.

Lu Yanhe added, "Besides, I don't want to accept this money. If I do, it will seem like I'm the one who's really getting a good deal, even though I feel like I'm the one who's losing out."

Chen Ziyan already had a clear idea of what Linghe Company was like.

This is because the company was established by Lu Yanhe and mainly revolves around him.

It's true that she was involved, but Lu Yanhe was definitely at the core.

Therefore, Chen Ziyan set a rule for herself early on: company matters must be decided primarily by Lu Yanhe's will.

Now that Lu Yanhe had a plan, Chen Ziyan felt it was a pity but didn't say anything more.

"Do you have any other questions about the other places?"

“I will provide three film and television scripts for Aurora Video within five years for film and television production. Aurora Video will pay me a licensing fee of 15 million yuan for each script. After the signing of this agreement, a prepayment of 5 million yuan will be paid within six months, and the remaining amount will be paid within three months after the script is submitted,” Lu Yanhe said. “I don’t need to give you this 5 million yuan prepayment.”

Chen Ziyan was taken aback.

"Yan He, this—"

“I know this is good for me, but I don’t need it. Well, it’s not that I don’t need it, but I don’t want to put myself in a passive position,” Lu Yanhe said. “If I accept this advance payment, when will I submit the script? If they are not satisfied with the script I submit, what will I say? If they have suggestions for revision, or want me to add one or two characters to the script, should I add them?”

Chen Ziyan: "The contract specifies in detail the requirements for the script and the limit on the number of revisions."

“When it comes to the execution stage, I believe there will definitely be many areas that the contract terms cannot cover. The key is that I don’t take bribes, so I can act uprightly and honestly,” Lu Yanhe said earnestly. “Right now, President Lin values me, so he’s offering so many favorable conditions to me to sign this contract. But who knows what will happen in the future? Maybe even President Lin’s position will be changed.”

Chen Ziyan: "..."

“Actually, I just want to adhere to the simplest principle of cash on delivery. I don’t owe him anything, and he doesn’t owe me anything. If I don’t want to sell to him later, he won’t have any reason to blame me,” Lu Yanhe said. “I only signed a cooperation agreement with them to provide three scripts within five years, but that doesn’t mean I have to prioritize working with them on three projects. I have other collaborators.”

Chen Ziyan understood what Lu Yanhe meant.

To put it bluntly, the main reason is that Lu Yanhe doesn't want to feel guilty or take advantage of others.

For someone like Lu Yanhe, who knows he has proven scripts in his hands, this "advance payment" is completely unnecessary, because he knows he can earn it himself.

-

Lu Yanhe and Chen Ziyan talked until 5 p.m.

"I have to head to the film set." Lu Yanhe glanced at the time. "I need to get there and prepare; we're shooting a night scene again tonight."

Chen Ziyan nodded, "I will relay your opinion to them. Let's go, I'll take you there."

Lu Yanhe: "No need, Brother Dong has already come to pick me up. He's downstairs."

Upon hearing this, Chen Ziyan nodded. "Okay, then I won't bother with you anymore. Oh, by the way, there's a very important event in May that you need to attend."

"What activity?" Lu Yanhe asked, puzzled.

Chen Ziyan smiled slightly and said, "The Jose Film Festival."

Lu Yanhe looked bewildered and asked, "Why should I participate in this film festival? I don't remember acting in any other movies."

Chen Ziyan: "It's not that any of your films were nominated, but that Math, which you endorse, is a sponsor of this year's Jose Film Festival. As the spokesperson, you need to attend events; it's your job."

Lu Yanhe suddenly realized.

There are other things like that.

"In addition, Chen Bige also wants to take the scripts of 'Raise the Red Lantern' and 'Rouge' there to find a suitable production company," Chen Ziyan said. "She has already cleared her schedule for next year, but if she wants to shoot these two films next year, she must get the investment and pre-production work done this year."

After sending the two scripts to Chen Bige, Lu Yanhe didn't pay much attention to them. With Chen Bige's connections and influence, there was no need for him to do anything. These two films were different from "Lost in Thailand"; they weren't commercial films, so they didn't require a large investment, and the requirements for the production company and investors weren't as high. Chen Bige, on the other hand, needed to find a reliable film company to take over, and needed to evaluate which company was most suitable.

Lu Yanhe nodded.

-

On the other hand, the box office of "Three Mountains" which has been in theaters for more than a month is approaching 90 million, but it seems unlikely to break through 90 million.

However, for a film like this, it has already achieved a box office miracle.

Wang Zhong achieved both fame and fortune through this film. After completing the promotional tour, he went home to relax completely, enjoy family life, and then think about what film he should make next.

That's just how directors are.

Once you've finished filming one movie, you need to seriously consider the next one, unless you want to retire.

Otherwise, you will never truly rest.

It was only at this point that Wang Zhong had the time and inclination to carefully read the two film scripts written by Lu Yanhe.

He had asked Lu Yanhe to send him the script because he admired and appreciated Lu Yanhe and wanted to do his part to help Lu Yanhe revise the script.

As a result, after he spent an entire night reading both scripts, he fell into deep thought and was deeply moved.

Then, he thought about it for several days, looked at the projects he had on hand, including the scripts that he had been writing for a long time, and then looked at these two scripts. He felt very uncomfortable.

Wang Zhong arranged to meet Chen Ling, but when the topic turned to the projects they were going to work on, Wang Zhong couldn't utter a complete sentence for a long time.

Chen Ling frowned in confusion as he tried to evade the question.

"Is something on your mind?"

Wang Zhong hissed and said to Chen Ling, "I saw a script that I really want to film."

"Huh?" Chen Ling asked, "What script?"

After Xi Tu'er won the award, many film companies wanted to collaborate with Wang Zhong on scripts, but Chen Ling had never heard Wang Zhong say that he was particularly interested in any of them. So who recently handed him a new script?

Wang Zhong took out the script of "Rouge" and gave it to Chen Ling.

"Take a look."

Chen Ling started reading right there at the dinner table.

Wang Zhong didn't urge him, and ate slowly by himself. For a while, the table was silent except for the rustling sound of Wang Zhong eating.

-

April 26th, on the set of "Late Spring".

They returned to the cram school and the classroom.

They waited for a full two hours until the sunlight filled the classroom. The actors sat in their seats and, following the script they had rehearsed countless times, filmed the long take designed by Liu Bige in one go.

This time, Liu Bige passed in one take.

After he shouted, he suddenly choked up and then said, "All the shots for the movie 'Late Spring' have been filmed. We can wrap up now!"

Lu Yanhe sat in his seat, completely bewildered, and looked blankly at Liu Bige.

Liu Bige stood at the classroom door, watching them.

Lu Yanhe originally thought that this last shot, being a long take, would take at least a dozen or twenty takes, given Liu Bige's nature. How come it was done in just one take?

Not only Lu Yanhe, but everyone else was equally astonished and incredulous; no one had expected this.

Lu Yanhe asked Liu Bige, "Are you sure we don't need to film another take?"

Liu Bige smiled confidently, “I’m very sure about my movie.”

At this point, the actors in the classroom cheered excitedly.

Lu Yanhe also stood up and immediately went forward to hug Liu Bige.

"Reliable!" Lu Yanhe shouted in his ear, "The movie is finished, and I can finally tell you something I've been wanting to say for a long time!"

"What do you want to say to me?" Liu Bige asked.

Lu Yanhe laughed and said, "You're such a troublemaker!"

Liu Bige: "..."

Kong Fan was standing right behind Lu Yanhe, waiting to take Lu Yanhe's place and hug Liu Bige. When he heard Lu Yanhe's words, he immediately laughed so hard he bent over.

Lu Yanhe patted Liu Bige on the back and said, "But you're awesome too."

Only those involved in the production of a film like "Late Spring" truly understand that while the filming process seemed smooth and without any problems, it presented challenges for every creator.

It's too difficult to act. There's not an easy role to play, nor an easy play to act in.

Lu Yanhe developed patience through Liu Bige's training, not to mention the other actors.

Having to do 10 or 20 takes is enough to shatter any actor's confidence, forcing them to start all over again.

Liu Bige said to Lu Yanhe, "This movie couldn't have been made without you."

"Come on, you would have made it even without me." Lu Yanhe said with a smile, "You are a stubborn person who will do whatever you want to do. I am very happy to make this movie with you. I have always wanted to make a movie about high school, but I don't want to make those campus idol dramas. You came to me at this time to act in 'Late Spring' and fulfilled my wish."

Lu Yanhe knew that even if it wasn't five or ten years later, his current state of mind would be different from two years ago. Perhaps in another year or two, he would never be able to find that desperate, youthful mentality he had in high school.

He knew that as he grew older, his acting skills might become more and more proficient and exquisite, but the mindset of a young man would also become more and more distant, so distant that it would be unattainable. No matter how well he acted, it would never be the same as before.

So he is really fortunate to have made such a movie at his age.
