A statement that is not an ending statement
When I got home, I wanted to sleep, but I just couldn't fall asleep.
I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about this tail, so I had to get up.
I had said long ago that it would end, but it kept rushing forward, out of my control, until here, when I finally saw a station where I could stop briefly and let a group of passengers off.
I said a long time ago that I haven't forgotten "Childhood," and that its appearance was the beginning of its end.
It's nothing other than that I had already thought it through. "Childhood" is Lu Yanhe's retrospective, and otherwise, "Childhood" would not have enough meaning in this story.
However, I cannot expect everyone to wait until the words reach over five million to find some so-called meaning.
Fortunately, I've still managed to write this far, proving to all the readers who trusted me that I wasn't lying, and that I didn't really want to fool you; I just genuinely lacked the ability, so I had to "flop" this far.
To be honest, I've wanted to "finish" this story for a long time, but my abilities prevent me from doing so.
In fact, I originally intended to write "The End" only after the storylines of Zhang Yuezhen and Chen Pinhe had completely ended.
But I know that this line has become a poisonous point for too many people, so I chose this way—everyone knows how they will pay the price for their crimes and mistakes back then, without having to look any further.
This concludes the main text.
There will be a very long tail at the end before we reach "the end".
I won't be updating rapidly anymore.
I'm so tired.
I should now use my remaining energy to prepare for the next story.
Therefore, the subsequent updates will probably be written as they come, finishing the storyline of Zhang Yuezhen and Chen Pinhe properly, while the rest may be more "flooded with unfinished business".
I know I can't try to make this story never end, but I always wish it would slow down, just a little bit more. Of course, in any case, what it has accomplished so far has exceeded my expectations, making me quite satisfied and proud.
