Zhu Zhu returned to the villa alone, thinking about that woman all the time.
Ever since that woman appeared, Nanxun's expression had become strange. Zhu Zhu had never seen Nanxun so impatient.
Who was that woman? What was her past with Nanxun? Zhu Zhu tossed and turned in bed with these questions, unable to fall asleep.
Zhu Zhu got up, got out of bed, put on her shoes, and checked her phone. It was almost midnight, and Nan Xun's car still hadn't returned to the villa.
After going downstairs, Zhu Zhu went to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of water. She didn't know why, but the villa seemed particularly empty tonight, as if there was no end in sight...
Zhu Zhu felt that she would not be able to sleep tonight, so she sat on the sofa in the living room with a cup of water.
She didn't turn on the light, and thus trapped herself in endless darkness...
Time ticked by. Zhu Zhu picked up her phone and checked. Only half an hour had passed. Why did it feel like half a century had passed?
Where did Nanxun go? Is he still with that woman?
Zhu Zhu didn't know why she felt very uncomfortable. Even though she knew Nan Xun couldn't possibly like women, she hated the idea of Nan Xun being alone with other women.
After picking up the phone several times, Zhu Zhu finally resisted the urge to call Nan Xun.
What right did she have to ask about his whereabouts? Although they were legally married, Zhu Zhu knew that she was nothing in Nan Xun's heart.
Zhu Zhu hated the feeling she had right now. It felt like something was pulling at her heart. She told herself not to think about it, but it kept on thinking about it, uncontrollably.
Where is Nanxun? What is he doing? Who is he with? These questions have been lingering in Zhu Zhu's mind for a long time.
…
Zhu Zhu was awakened by the sunlight streaming in through the window in the morning. When she opened her eyes, she found that she had already been lying in her bed without knowing when.
Nanxun! It must be Nanxun! It must be Nanxun who carried her back to bed!
Zhu Zhu sat up and ran downstairs without even bothering to wash up.
"Nanxun?"
Zhu Zhu went from the third floor to the first floor, and only saw a few nannies and drivers working in their house, but did not see Nan Xun.
"Madam," said Aunt Zhang, the nurse, "the young master has already left. He said you went to bed late last night, so he didn't ask us to wake you up."
"Gone?"
Zhu Zhu felt a little lost, not knowing why. She wanted to see Nan Xun today and ask him about the woman she met yesterday.
"Madam, the young master told me when he left. He said you can go to the company to find him when you wake up. But the prerequisite is that you must have eaten."
Zhu Zhu realized she had lost her composure after hearing this. She was just a woman, why was she suddenly so distraught?
"Okay." Zhu Zhu said to Aunt Zhang, "I'll go wash up and come down to eat."
"Okay." Aunt Zhang smiled, "I'll tell the kitchen to prepare the food."
…
Zhu Zhu didn't expect that the dishes on the table were all her favorites. She didn't seem to have mentioned this to Aunt Zhang, but maybe Aunt Zhang was paying close attention.
Picking up the chopsticks, Zhu Zhu picked up a shrimp.
Seeing this, Aunt Zhang smiled and said, "These dishes were ordered by the young master. He said these are your favorite dishes."
Zhu Zhu was touched. She had rarely eaten with Nan Xun, but she had never expected him to remember her favorite dishes so clearly...
