Chapter 438 Coffee

Zhu Zhu and Chen Dong walked into a street-facing coffee shop together.

Maybe it was past lunchtime, so there were few people in the cafe.

Chen Dong found a seat in a corner, saying that this way they could chat without worrying about being disturbed.

The two of them sat down and ordered drinks, and Chen Dong began to talk about the past.

"When we were little, we lived in the same neighborhood. Our house was right next to yours," Chen Dong said. "When we were little, several kids of similar age in our neighborhood often played together. We even had several fights over toys."

"Really?"

For some reason, chatting with Chen Dong made Zhu Zhu feel a little more at home. Otherwise, she always felt like Sun Wukong, as if she had just emerged from a crack in the stone.

"Wait a minute. Let me look for the photos in the cloud drive." Chen Dong said, "I just sorted them out a few days ago, and I think I saw some photos of us when we were little."

As Chen Dong spoke, he rummaged through his phone and soon opened a folder, which indeed contained some photos of Chen Dong when he was a child.

"Look!" Chen Dong said, clicking on a photo. "This was taken when we were little. This is you, this is me, and this is Xiaoyu. Back then, the three of us often played together. This photo was taken downstairs at Xiaoyu's house."

Zhu Zhu looked at the three little people in the photo. They all had the same childish smiles and innocent eyes.

The little girl in the middle of the photo, with her round face and round eyes and deep dimples when she smiles, is a miniature version of me.

Zhu Zhu reached out and gently touched the little man's face on the screen.

When our fingers touched, I felt as if I had become that small again, sitting carefree under the big tree with a smile on my face.

"So cute..." Zhu Zhu couldn't help but sigh, "The childhood must have been so beautiful."

"Of course." Chen Dong said, "You played a lot when you were little, even crazier than us boys."

Zhu Zhu couldn't help but laugh after hearing what Chen Dong said. It seemed like she had been a tomboy as a child.

"Look at this one again." Chen Dong clicked on another photo and showed it to Zhu Zhu. "This was taken at our elementary school's entrance ceremony. Look at you, you look so cute in your school uniform."

Zhu Zhu put her face close to the screen, and a little girl in a sailor suit appeared in front of her.

"Really?" Zhu Zhu said, "I grew up a lot back then."

Chen Dong said, "Yes. Look, he's missing his front teeth, and when he smiles, there's air leaking out."

After hearing what Chen Dong said, Zhu Zhu also laughed. It was really funny to have no front teeth.

Zhu Zhu's attention was focused on her phone screen. She didn't even notice Chen Dong's hand quietly passed over her coffee cup.

"Don't stare at your phone all the time." Chen Dong raised his coffee cup and said, "I'm celebrating our reunion with coffee instead of wine."

Zhu Zhu raised the corner of her mouth and raised her coffee cup like Chen Dong.

"Cheers to our reunion."

Under Chen Dong's gaze, Zhu Zhu slowly put the coffee in the cup into her mouth.

When Chen Dong saw Zhu Zhu drink the coffee, he curled his lips and took a sip.

"I don't know when I can remember the past." Zhu Zhu sighed as she looked at the photos on her phone.

"Yes." Chen Dong said slowly, "One day you will remember everything."

"Thank you……"

As soon as she said thank you, Zhu Zhu suddenly felt her eyelids getting heavier.

She tried to shake her head to clear her mind, but she couldn't do it.

After a while, it fell heavily on the table.
