"An Jinli, stop pretending," Xie Jiashu said coldly. "Harman died nine years ago. And you were sending emails to this email address four or five years ago. How dare you say you don't know the owner of this email address?"
"What email?" An Jinli admitted without even trying to sleep. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"I knew you'd say that." Xie Jiashu raised his lip, took out his phone, and switched to the emails An Jinli had sent. "I've had hackers hack into this mailbox. I've read all the emails in it. Five or six of them were written by you four or five years ago. They all told the owner of the mailbox that the place was unsafe and asked him to move."
"Four or five years ago, Xue Li'er hid overseas to avoid being apprehended by Rashid." Xie Jiashu stared into An Jinli's eyes and continued, "That coincides with the situation you had the email owner move. And An Yiqing also contacted the email owner through this email. It was the email owner who asked An Jinli to hit Zhu Zhu with his car."
"So, based on these emails, you concluded that the owner of the emails was Xue Li'er, and that I was defending the person who framed my son?" An Jinli laughed. "Xie Jiashu, don't you think what you said is ridiculous?"
"Then you should ask Yiqing," An Jinli continued. "Since it was the mailbox owner who made him drive his car and hit Zhu Zhu, then you should ask Yiqing if the mailbox owner is Xue Lier. Why are you asking me?"
"You should know Xue Li'er very well. She's even more vicious than you think. So, she can use your son today, and she can use you tomorrow." Xie Jiashu said, "She did so much, but she always hid behind the scenes. Your son An Yiqing didn't even know who the owner of the email address was, but he foolishly became her pawn. Do you think a woman like this would be willing to cooperate with you?"
"So all this is just your guesswork?" An Jinli asked. "Xie family kid, you have a truly rich imagination. You can imagine so many things just based on an email address. It's a shame you didn't become a screenwriter."
"An Jinli!" Xie Jiashu's tone turned cold. "Don't forget, it was the owner of that mailbox who asked An Yiqing to drive the car and hit someone. Afterwards, she asked An Jinli to turn himself in and admit all the guilt. Your stupid son has become someone else's cannon fodder, do you still want to help her cover up?"
"I'm old..." An Jinli said, "I can't remember many things. But if you really want to know something, you might as well help me. I can't eat or sleep well in this damn place. If you help me move to another place, maybe I can remember something."
"Want to move?" Xie Jiashu raised an eyebrow and looked at An Jinli. "Where do you want to move to? A single room?"
An Jinli laughed and said to Xie Jiashu, "You really don't know me very well. How can a mere single room possibly satisfy me?"
"If you can help me get out of here," An Jinli said, "I can consider helping you figure out who the owner of that mailbox is."
"An Jinli!" Xie Jiashu said angrily, "Don't forget why you came here. You actually want me to help you get out. You're really calculating."
"What? You don't want to?" An Jinli slowly leaned back in his chair. "If you don't want to, forget it. I'm old anyway, there's no point in me staying here any longer."
