Chapter 14 No Rules (1/2)

At eight o'clock in the morning, a group of young people had gathered in front of the Personnel Section of the Huangyuan County Personnel Bureau. Some of them were dressed normally, while others were wearing suits and ties, looking as smart as they could.

These are all here to receive the registration notice.

However, there was no one in the personnel department yet. Everyone was waiting at the door, looking at each other, but few of them took the initiative to speak.

Although we all work in the same county now and are considered to be part of the same group of people joining the workforce, we didn't know each other before. We hadn't started working yet and didn't have any social skills, so the atmosphere was rather cold.

Occasionally there would be some words of conversation, but they would only be two simple sentences.

"Which unit did you apply to?"

"So-and-so unit, what about you?"

"I'm from a certain unit..."

After that, both parties had nothing to say to each other. They looked so young and immature that it was obvious that they had no work experience.

As time went by and the waiting time became longer, everyone became a little impatient and started to discuss why the people from the personnel department had not arrived yet.

At 8:40, a middle-aged woman from the Personnel Department finally arrived. Everyone stopped complaining and rushed to the Personnel Department office.

"Come on, stop pushing, come one by one, why are you in such a hurry? Look, you all have to go to work, how can it be so crowded? Anyone who pushes again will not be able to collect the registration notice, and the leader of your unit will come to collect the notice later." Deng Hong, a middle-aged woman from the Personnel Department, said sternly.

There was a hint of impatience and a hint of arrogance on her face. After all, in her opinion, even if these people were working, they were just young people in the company and could not be compared with her, an old veteran.

Moreover, some of them were from the countryside, and compared to the older women working in the Personnel Bureau, they were just rookies. This chain of contempt existed everywhere: those who passed the exam looked down on those who didn't, and those who passed the exam, but those in the city looked down on those in the countryside; and those who worked in the city, but those in better units, looked down on those in worse units.

In the same unit, the senior employees look down on the newcomers...

Deng Hong's few words, both referring to the leader and threatening, immediately shocked the young man who had never worked before. If he couldn't get the report notice, how could he explain it to the leader in the unit? He hadn't even started working yet, but he had already left such a bad impression on the leader. How could he survive in the unit in the future?

Seeing that everyone had quieted down, Deng Hong nodded in satisfaction: "Everyone stand at the door and wait. Whoever is picked up will come in to get the registration notice. Those who are not picked up will wait."

Deng Hong walked into the office and started calling out names one by one. Among them, there was a newcomer who was ignorant and rushed in rashly. As a result, he was scolded by Deng Hong and forced to come out and wait.

Even if there were newcomers brought by the head of the personnel section or other colleagues from the personnel bureau to collect their registration notices, Deng Hong would not only not bother to check in with them, but would even bend down and send them out with a smile on her face.

They haven't even officially started work yet, and they have just come to receive the registration notice, but they have already taught these young people who are about to enter the system a lesson.

Those who pass the civil service exam and those who fail are two different types of people. Even those who pass the exam with connections and those without connections are also two different types of people.

When Xiuyuan arrived, it was around nine in the morning. When he arrived at the door, he asked the old man in the message room where to get the registration notice.

As a result, after entering the office building, he found a group of people waiting at the door of the personnel department.
