Chapter 4: A Bright Spot (1/2)

Xiuyuan knocked on the door gently. After hearing the voice of "Come in" from inside, he took a deep breath and pushed the door open. Then he turned around and closed the door. He took this opportunity to quickly take a look at the situation in the examination room.

Seven examiners and two scorers were distributed in an L shape in the examination room. My seat was facing the seven examiners, or to be more precise, the position of the chief examiner.

After estimating the distance to his seat, Xiuyuan took five and a half steps and arrived in front of his seat.

Xiuyuan didn't sit down immediately. Instead, he faced the examiners, bowed slightly, and raised his head before speaking in a clear and resonant voice: "Good afternoon, distinguished examiners. I am candidate number 35."

The brief introduction comes to an abrupt end. At this time, you must be careful not to report your name. Otherwise, it will be considered cheating and you will be disqualified from the exam.

There are always such unlucky candidates among every interviewee. When they get nervous, they even say their own names, which is considered cheating and they are directly kicked out of the examination room.

After Xiuyuan introduced himself, the examiner nodded with a smile. In this interview, the most important thing is the first impression. If the first impression is not good, no matter how good the answers are, the score will not be too high, because the impression score itself is one of the scoring criteria.

He walked in from Xiuyuan, bowed, and introduced himself, unburdened and unrestrained. He was dressed elegantly, had a sunny, cheerful demeanor, and a clear voice. He fit the profile of a motivated young man who had just started working within the system... In short, he looked like a civil servant.

Xiuyuan turned around and sat in his examination seat. The examiner next to him began to read the questions and placed a pen and clean A4 paper in front of him.

Xiuyuan quickly took a pen and wrote down the questions on a piece of paper.

That’s right, in this interview, the questions are not given to you and you answer them. Instead, the examiner reads the questions out and you can take notes or not.

It is also a time to test candidates' memory, listening and comprehension abilities.

The examiner reads out a series of questions, and it is certainly impossible for the candidates to write them all down on paper in a short time. At this time, how to remember the key points is very important. Of course, if you remember the questions incorrectly and answer them irrelevantly, it means that you are not capable enough.

"First question: You and Xiao Zhang join the company together. Xiao Zhang is a strong collaborator, quickly gets along with his colleagues, and is highly regarded by his superiors. However, you yourself lack interpersonal skills. What are your thoughts and how would you address this?"

Xiuyuan quickly wrote down the question on a piece of paper and felt relieved. This kind of question was the easiest to answer. It was standard and basically had a routine. It was not like the interview questions in later generations, which often combined some social hot spots. If you didn't understand it, it would be difficult to answer if you encountered something you were not familiar with.

After a brief pause, Xiuyuan slowly raised his head, looking directly at the examiner in front of him, while his peripheral vision cast a glance at the other examiners.

Xiuyuan said in a clear voice: "Examiners, the examinee has finished thinking and may now begin answering."

"First of all, I'm very happy to have a colleague like Xiao Zhang who has strong working ability and is good at handling interpersonal relationships. I'm honored to be a colleague like him..."

To begin with, I have to be brief and to the point. This requires maintaining one's own personality. In reality, most people have such a colleague. They all feel under great pressure, secretly envious and jealous in their hearts, and even the bad ones may do bad things behind others' backs.

But during the interview, you must maintain the correct values.

Listening to Xiuyuan's answer, the examiners' expressions did not change, because up to this point, even if it was a standard answer, it could get a medium score, but there was nothing eye-catching.
