But as soon as she entered, Fatty saw Director Wang, the new director of the Industry and Commerce Bureau, and immediately stood up.
"Li Zhen, hello, hello." Wang Xin walked quickly towards Li Xiuyuan. He had only been trying his luck, but unexpectedly, he actually ran into Li Xiuyuan.
"Who are you?"
"Mayor Li, I'm Wang Xin, the new director of the local industrial and commercial bureau. I took office on Wednesday and went to your office to report on my work that very day, but you weren't there. I've been going there frequently these past two days, but I haven't been able to find you," Wang Xin quickly explained.
Li Xiuyuan smiled and then extended his hand to shake hands with Wang Xin: "I've been busy in Meilin Village for the past week and haven't spent much time in the town."
“I understand, I understand. The project in Meilin Village is of paramount importance and requires your supervision. I wanted to go to Meilin Village to see you, but I was afraid of interfering with your work. I heard that you like to eat breakfast at this steamed bun shop, so I thought I'd try my luck here…” Wang Xin explained clearly.
The chubby woman standing to the side was dumbfounded by what she saw. The director of the industrial and commercial bureau was so respectful to Li Xiuyuan. All along, she had thought that Li Xiuyuan was probably a newcomer to the town government, after all, Li Xiuyuan was quite old.
Sometimes when Su Ziying called Li Xiuyuan "Li Zhen", she thought the young man was called "Li Zhen" or some kind of nickname. She never expected that he was Mayor Li.
Li Xiuyuan noticed that some people inside the breakfast stall were looking in his direction, so he waved his hand and said, "Sit down first, let's talk."
"Hey, Mr. Li, please." Wang Xin didn't dare to sit down. Only after Li Xiuyuan sat down did he slowly sit down. He then quickly stood up and looked at the fat woman next to him, saying, "What would you like to order, Mr. Li? I'll get it for you."

"Thank you for your help, Director Wang. Let me introduce you. This is Teacher Su, who is here to teach at our town's middle school. She also likes to run in the morning. I often run into Teacher Su, so we came here together for breakfast." Li Xiuyuan introduced Su Ziying to Wang Xin.
Su Ziying rolled her eyes at Li Xiuyuan. He really was protective of his reputation, not wanting to be associated with her at all, even though he introduced himself so clearly.
"Hello, Teacher Su." Wang Xin greeted Su Ziying politely, and sighed inwardly. Did she like running? Or did she like pretty female teachers? But then he thought, Li Xiuyuan is young and unmarried, and so is the female teacher. It's not a big deal if she likes someone.
This is completely different from those greasy middle-aged male leaders who are already married and have families; they don't need to be as discreet as some others.
"Hello, Director Wang."
Li Xiuyuan and Wang Xin chatted while eating breakfast, while Su Ziying ate her breakfast in silence, barely participating in their conversation. Wang Xin mainly expressed his loyalty, mentioning that before coming, Director Zhang had instructed him to fully cooperate with and support Li Xiuyuan's work.
Furthermore, he made an appointment with Li Xiuyuan to report on the work of the Industry and Commerce Bureau to Li Xiuyuan's office on Monday.
"Okay, you should also report to Hou Zhen about your work, and make sure Hou Zhen doesn't have any complaints," Li Xiuyuan instructed.
"Understood, Mr. Li, don't worry." Wang Xin nodded, barely touched his breakfast, and got up to leave. His purpose in coming was to see Li Xiuyuan.
