Chapter 25 "Baby, kiss me."...

Chapter 25 "Baby, kiss me."...

Fang Xia: [Wanwan, I'm planning to visit you during the May Day holiday! Aren't you excited?]

One hour later...

Fang Xia: [cupping face.jpg]

Fang Xia: [Are you busy?]

Another half hour later...

Fang Xia: [Wanwan?]

Fang Xia: [Do you have other plans for the May Day holiday?]

Fang Xia: [Sad.jpg]

When Song Wan saw the message, more than forty minutes had passed since the previous one. At the same time, there was also an unread message from Lian Huaiyang in her contact list: [Fang Xia is looking for you. Remember to reply to her when you have time.]

Song Wan quickly opened her chat with Fang Xia and typed: 【No, no, there are no other plans.】

She explained: "I was sleeping this morning and didn't see the message /crying"

Song Wan: [I'm so glad you came to see me!]

Song Wan: [There are so many delicious and fun things to do in Beijing, let's go explore together!]

Fang Xia replied quickly: 【Okay!】

Song Wan ended the conversation by sending a cute cat emoji.

Before logging out of the software, she also sent Lian Huaiyang a message—

Thank you, I've replied to her.

Lian Huaiyang quickly replied: [Wanwan, can we... still be friends?]

This question made Song Wan's heart ache. She thought of elementary school, junior high school, and high school. Many people around her had drifted apart over time, and Lian Huaiyang was one of the few people who still resonated with her.

Why did I fall for her? Why did I let this friendship turn sour?

Many times, Song Wan secretly complained about Lian Huaiyang in this way.

Those student days in her memory were too bright, and Song Wan was a soft-hearted girl, so in the end, she couldn't bring herself to say no.

If you'd still like...

If he is still willing to let their friendship return to its original state, if he is willing to step back into the position of friends.

Song Wan decided to give the choice to Lian Huaiyang.

Thank you, Wanwan.

Fang Xia arrived in Beijing by high-speed train on the afternoon of the day before May Day.

At noon, Song Wan received a message from Lian Huaiyang: "[Shall I go with you to pick someone up?]"

Song Wan hesitated before replying, "Isn't it unnecessary? I can manage on my own."

Lian Huaiyang sent a laughing-crying emoji, [What I meant was, I haven't seen my old classmates in ages either, how about we grab a bite together?]

Embarrassed, Song Wan sent a bewildered emoji and readily agreed: 【Okay, okay!】

——

During the May Day holiday, the high-speed rail station saw a considerable flow of passengers. Fang Xia, pulling her small suitcase, followed the crowd toward the exit.

Just as I swiped my card to pass through the gate, I heard a voice from not far ahead: "Xiaxia!"

Fang Xia looked in the direction of the sound and immediately saw Song Wan. She then waved excitedly and ran towards her.

"Wanwan!"

Song Wan was given a bear hug.

As soon as they met, Fang Xia couldn't help but start complaining: "Wanwan, let me tell you, some people have such bad manners. You don't know, the uncle next to me took off his shoes on the bus and put his stinky feet on the small table in front of him. Ugh, I can't look at that small table again, sob sob."

"Didn't you inform the flight attendant?"

"Reaction... huh?"

Realizing the tone of the voice was off, Fang Xia turned her head to look at Song Wan's side, her eyes filled with surprise, "Lian Huaiyang?! What are you doing here too?"

Lian Huaiyang raised an eyebrow and retorted, "Not welcome?"

"How could that be?" Fang Xia was overjoyed. "I'm flattered!"

The two men took her to the hotel to drop off her luggage.

Lian Huaiyang walked ahead carrying his suitcase, while Fang Xia deliberately pulled Song Wan a few steps behind.

She glanced at the people in front of her, half-covered her mouth, and whispered in Song Wan's ear, "Are you with Lian Huaiyang?"

Song Wan was taken aback, then quickly shook her head and waved her hands, "No, no, no."

Fang Xia keenly sensed something amiss, and narrowed her eyes slyly like a little fox, "If there's nothing, then there's nothing. Why are you reacting so strongly?"

"I didn't have a strong reaction." Song Wan bit her lip and said hesitantly, "Please don't ask about this in front of Lian Huaiyang, it'll be really awkward."

Fang Xia didn't think too much about it, nodded, and replied, "Okay."

As she spoke, she muttered to herself, "I thought you two could be together, but even Huaiyang can't make it."

Song Wan felt embarrassed and tugged at her sleeve, "You, you... please stop talking."

"Okay, okay, I won't say anymore." Fang Xia readily agreed, unable to resist pinching her shy cheek. "Wanwan, has anyone ever told you that you are really cute?"

Her heart skipped a beat, and Song Wan lowered her eyes.

Someone has said this, and more than once.

After helping Fang Xia check in and put away her luggage, the three of them took a taxi to the restaurant where they would eat.

The restaurant was found by Lian Huaiyang; it's said to be a restaurant with authentic Beijing cuisine.

Fang Xia was very excited because she had seen this restaurant recommended when she was planning her trip, but she hadn't considered it because of the price. She never expected to be able to have it for her first meal in Beijing, which was a pleasant surprise.

"Welcome, old classmate. It's on me today." Lian Huaiyang placed the menu between Fang Xia and Song Wan and said generously, "You two, go ahead and spend."

"You've become rich overnight, my brother!" Fang Xia joked, no longer bothering to be polite, and focused on studying the menu with Song Wan.

The boy opposite her, holding a cup of warm water, couldn't help but let his gaze fall on the girl's smiling face with her head bowed.

Since everyone was still a student and not yet financially independent, Fang Xia didn't really rip off Lian Huaiyang and ordered enough for about three people.

Lian Huaiyang ordered three more bottles of beer.

"Want a drink?" He shook his glass at Fang Xia and asked with a smile.

"Okay." Fang Xia had a good alcohol tolerance and immediately agreed.

Lian Huaiyang poured some for himself and then for her. Finally, he tilted his head and looked at Song Wan: "Wanwan, would you like some too?"

Song Wan waved her hand in refusal: "I don't need it, I don't drink."

Song Qinru forbids her from drinking alcohol. Once, during a holiday, Zhang Huaiyu tried to get her to drink, and Song Qinru scolded him severely.

Lian Huaiyang nodded. "Shall I order you a drink?"

"No need, no need," Song Wan quickly stopped her. "No need for that. I'll just have plain water."

"It's not right for us to drink alcohol while you drink water," Lian Huaiyang said, holding the bottle of alcohol and looking at her.

Seeing this, Fang Xia also advised, "It's okay, try it, and if it doesn't work, just change it back to warm water."

As she spoke, she handed Song Wan's cup over.

The dishes had barely been served when Lian Huaiyang quickly raised his glass for the first time, "Cheers! To our reunion in a foreign land."

Seeing that the two of them had both drunk their drinks in one gulp, Song Wan also frowned and finished the wine in her glass.

As Fang Xia put down her glass, she noticed that Song Wan's glass was also empty. She raised an eyebrow and asked with a mischievous smile, "How was it? How did it feel to drink for the first time?"

Song Wan quickly picked up a bite of food to suppress the strange bitter and spicy taste in her mouth, and mumbled, "It tastes awful."

Lian Huaiyang laughed and poured more wine, saying, "You just don't drink enough. Just drink a few more times, look at the two of us."

Looking at the glass of wine that was now full again, Song Wan's face scrunched up like a bun.

And so, eating, drinking, chatting and laughing, before Song Wan knew it, she had been forced to drink more than half a bottle of beer, and her head was starting to spin.

Finally, when she got up to leave, she accidentally stumbled and realized that Song Wan was drunk.

But strangely enough, she didn't show it on her face, so you couldn't tell at all.

Fang Xia went to help the person, but Lian Huaiyang beat her to it, saying, "You're not strong enough, let me do it."

"Okay." Since they were all friends, Fang Xia didn't think much of it and took out her phone, saying, "Then I'll call a car."

The spring night breeze was cool and comfortable, and should have made her more awake, but for some reason, Song Wan felt her head was even more dizzy after the breeze, and she leaned weakly against the person next to her.

“…Chen Jianjin.” Song Wan was so dizzy that she mumbled unconsciously, “I feel a little unwell.”

"Huh?" Fang Xia, who was still fiddling with the ride-hailing app, didn't hear clearly and asked again, "Wanwan, what did you say?"

Lian Huaiyang tightened his arms, his teeth almost grinding to powder. "She didn't say anything."

He urged repeatedly, "Hurry up and call a taxi."

Chen Jianjin had a dinner party that evening, and his watch showed 8:30 when it ended.

Sitting in the back seat, he wearily pinched the bridge of his nose.

Tao Ji, the assistant in the front passenger seat, turned around and asked, "Mr. Chen, shall I take you back to your apartment in Zhongyi Huafu?"

Chen Jianjin gave a low, expressionless "hmm," then took out his phone and opened his chat with Song Wan.

Several hours passed, and he still hadn't received a reply to his message asking if she wanted to travel with him during the holidays.

He was a little annoyed, so he exited the app and switched to remote location monitoring software.

"Wait a moment."

Suddenly, the boss in the back row spoke up. Tao Ji turned his head and saw a man in a pure black suit loosening his tie in a slightly irritable manner. The light and shadow cut out his sharp and distinct facial features, and his phoenix eyes were filled with a cold indifference. His face was gloomy, as if he was intentionally suppressing the bad emotions that were about to burst out.

"I'll send you an address, go here."

Tao Ji hurriedly opened his phone.

The driver drove fast and steadily, and soon they arrived at their destination.

When the gleaming black luxury car pulled up in front of her, Fang Xia was shocked and then checked her order again.

Hmm... the license plate isn't a flashy consecutive number, and the car's color doesn't match either.

Even so, it didn't stop her gossip-loving spirit from burning brightly.

What incredible luck! I just arrived and I've already run into the legendary rich young master of Beijing.

The moment the car door was opened, Fang Xia couldn't help but mentally scream "Little Grass!" several times.

That face! That figure! That aura...!

Tsk tsk tsk!

Before she could even rack her brains for a suitable word to describe the stunning visual impact of the person in front of her, something even more shocking happened.

The man stopped in front of Lian Huaiyang, and without saying a word, pulled away the arm that was holding Song Wan and threw a punch.

Suddenly losing her footing, Song Wan lost her balance. Before Fang Xia could react and catch her, the girl had already fallen into the arms of a strange man.

He swept the man up in a princess carry, his arrogant and roguish manner as he glanced down at his male rival.

A sudden farce.

Fang Xia was stunned. It wasn't until the man turned to leave that his gaze lingered briefly on her face. In that instant, Fang Xia belatedly realized where that inexplicable sense of familiarity with the man came from.

He...he's that handsome guy from the movie theater on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year!

He...he...how could he...with Wanwan...?!

Fang Xia was stunned, holding her breath and staring wide-eyed.

Not only was she struck dumb, but Tao Ji in the car was also shocked.

She didn't consider herself a gossip, but when she witnessed her usually aloof and cold boss, who was ruthless in the business world and only cared about profits, fighting like a young boy for a girl, she admitted that she felt restless, like a paparazzi who had been staking out a spot for a long time and finally caught a juicy story.

Tao Ji swallowed hard and, with trembling hands, opened the chat group in the secretary's office.

In the back seat, Chen Jianjin had a cold face ever since he got in the car.

The partition was raised, creating a private and independent space in the back seat. He grabbed the girl by the back of her neck and pulled her out.

Song Wan was drunk, her eyes glazed over and unfocused.

"Baby, did I tell you not to see him in private anymore? Hmm?" Chen Jianjin's eyes were deep and narrow, his teeth itching with anger.

But then, Song Wan lost consciousness and, looking weak and about to fall into his arms again.

When she's sober, why would she be so dependent on him?

Chen Jianjin stroked the girl's furry head, intending to hug her and cherish her, but then he remembered that she had just been limp in Lian Huaiyang's arms, and he became angry again.

With veins crisscrossing on the back of his large hand, Chen Jianjin lifted Song Wan's shoulder, determined to get an answer: "Song Wan, look at me, who am I?"

Song Wan was so sleepy that she didn't even have the strength to lift her eyelids. Her hands limply gripped his wrists, and she snuggled into his arms like a cat.

Chen Jianjin was so angry he laughed. Helpless, he pinched her cheek hard.

Song Wan frowned, and slapped his hand in retaliation, muttering irritably, "Chen Jianjin...you're so annoying."

This sentence undoubtedly made Chen Jianjin very happy. Like a child who has found his favorite toy, he began to touch and rub it here and there with great affection.

When Song Wan was drunk, she was incredibly obedient, always asking for help to raise her hand or be held tight.

Chen Jianjin picked up a strand of her hair, gently brushed it across the girl's fair and rosy cheeks, and coaxed her softly, "Baby, kiss me."

Song Wan, who had been leaning her face against his chest, raised her head slightly upon hearing his words, and her soft lips randomly pressed against the protrusion in the middle of the boy's neck, gently sucking on it.

She didn't even open her eyes, so naturally she couldn't find the right spot for her mouth.

But then, in an instant, his blood surged, and Chen Jianjin's whole body boiled with passion.

His heart pounded like thunder, and his Adam's apple bobbed uncontrollably.

Confused, Song Wan felt annoyed; this person's mouth was moving up and down restlessly.

She lost her patience, took a small bite, and then turned her head to go to sleep.

His throat tightened, and Chen Jianjin held the person in his arms tightly, letting out a long sigh to relax and suppress the burning urge.

But even after the car came to a steady stop in the apartment parking lot, and the light bulb in the front seat went out, leaving only the two of them in the quiet car, they still insisted on what they wanted.

Unable to relieve his pent-up desires, the thought of indulging in sex kept surfacing in his mind, only to be suppressed by Chen Jianjin's reason time and again, much to his annoyance.

He gently rubbed Song Wan's palm, his thoughts wandering aimlessly, perhaps... could it be possible...?

no!

It's filthy.

Song Wan had already fallen asleep without realizing it, and was naturally unaware of the pain and turmoil of the person in front of her.

In her confusion, she felt as if she had fallen into boiling, bubbling lava, and the distinct muscles under her palms felt like branding irons, hard and hot.

"...Chen Jianjin."

Song Wan murmured in a daze.

With reddened eyes, Chen Jianjin buried his face in the girl's fragrant neck, his left hand holding her back firmly, while his right hand guided and pressed her soft palm to explore and caress his waist and abdominal muscles.

Their breaths were so hot they felt like they were melting each other. Chen Jianjin, suppressing the bulging veins on his forehead, gently rubbed her moist red lips while pleading in a hoarse voice, "Baby, touch me, touch me..."

But Song Wan was so sleepy that he kept her from getting a deep sleep.

After a while, Song Wan became extremely annoyed, but she was also completely powerless. No matter how much she scratched or clawed at him, she couldn't break free. As if in a daze, she muttered softly, "Chen Jianjin...you bastard...I hate you..."

Yet the lingering tremor deep within my soul continues.

Chen Jianjin lowered his head and lovingly kissed the corner of her lips, gently whispering, "Baby, I love you."

The next morning, Song Wan woke up thirsty.

There was a glass of warm water on the bedside table. Without thinking, she gulped it down.

Song Wan lay back down on the soft pillow, pulled the covers up, and slowly woke up.

She caught a faint scent of fermented malt at the tip of her nose. After taking a few breaths, Song Wan was surprised to find that the scent was coming from herself. She then suddenly remembered that she had drunk too much while hosting a welcome dinner for Fang Xia last night.

The blanket was suddenly pulled back, and when Song Wan saw the room's familiar minimalist decor, she was completely bewildered.

How could she be in Chen Jianjin's apartment?

At the same time, a phone vibrated and rang from the bedside table.

Song Wan quickly took the items, unlocked them, and opened them.

Fang Xia sent her over 99 messages, and even Huaiyang's chat box had several unread messages.

The message notification sound just now came from Lian Huaiyang.

She clicked into the chat window to take a look—

Lian Huaiyang: [Did Chen Jianjin send you back to school?]

Lian Huaiyang: [Or...did you spend the night outside?]

Lian Huaiyang: [Wanwan?]

Lian Huaiyang: [Are you alright? Why aren't you replying to my messages?]

The last two were posted just now —

Lian Huaiyang: [Did you tell Chen Jianjin the address for the dinner party last night?]

Lian Huaiyang: [Reply to my message when you see this.]

Song Wan quickly typed: [I didn't tell him where the dinner was. I'm sorry, I drank too much last night and fell asleep. I just woke up.]

Lian Huaiyang replied instantly: 【Are you alright?】

Song Wan didn't think much of it and sent a thank you emoji: "[Much better, my head isn't dizzy anymore, and I don't have any hangover symptoms.]"

After sending that message, she clicked into her chat with Fang Xia.

I was shocked when I saw that she had sent 99+ 60-second voice messages.

After patiently listening to all the voice messages, Song Wan pieced together the truth of what happened last night.

To sum it up in one sentence—

She was drunk and unconsciously leaned against Lian Huaiyang, which Chen Jianjin caught red-handed. He was furious and punched Lian Huaiyang in a fit of rage.

Song Wan didn't bother replying to Fang Xia's gossipy inquiries; she grabbed her phone and stormed out the door.

Chen Jianjin was trying to fry an egg into a heart shape when something suddenly hit his right arm, ruining his carefully crafted work.

"Chen Jianjin! What makes you think you can attack Lian Huaiyang?"

With a slightly heavy breath, Chen Jianjin kept a straight face and lowered his gaze to the egg mixture that had turned into a paste in the frying pan.

He slowly turned off the stove, picked up Song Wan's phone that had fallen to the ground, and suddenly smiled.

"Shouldn't I have hit him?" Chen Jianjin turned his head to look at the stubborn girl, his eyes cold as frost. "Knowing you have a boyfriend, you still clung to him like a mangy dog, eager to become a mistress. Baby, tell me, shouldn't I have hit him?"

He spoke coldly, his words like venom, "Someone like him would have been drowned in the past. I only punched him once, is that too heavy? Hmm?"

"Chen Jianjin!" Song Wan looked at him with tears in her eyes, gritting her teeth as she said, "You're just making excuses. All you know how to do is threaten people with violence. This time, and last time too, you always try to drive away all my friends. You always arrogantly try to chain me up. When you're happy or amused, you tease me. What am I to you? You say you like me, but do you really like me? Or do you just like the morbid psychology that satisfies your need for control when I'm forced to submit to you? In your eyes, am I even a real person?!"

Chen Jianjin felt as if a thousand needles were piercing his chest and lungs, each expansion bringing excruciating pain. He gritted his teeth in resentment, "First of all, all I know is how to threaten people with violence? Song Wan, in all this time, have I ever laid a finger on you? Yes, I'm a scoundrel, I admit it, but every time you spilled my drink or slapped me, didn't I endure it? This time I did punch Lian Huaiyang, that's true, but that's because he was a jerk and deserved it. As for what you said about last time, I didn't do it and I don't admit it."

"Secondly, you said you like the feeling of you being forced to submit?" Chen Jianjin sneered, his sharp phoenix eyes growing even colder. "Song Wan, only losers are all bark and no bite, putting on a show of bullying within their own ranks. Look at us now, isn't it you who argues back ten times for every one of my words? Ask yourself, when have you ever truly bowed your head to me? When have I ever been the one begging and coaxing you? Once you leave this door, go and ask around, has Chen Jianjin ever fawned over anyone like this in the business world?!"

His breathing became erratic, and his tone grew harsher: "Don't I treat you like a human being? I'll chain you up? You're using the terms 'sugar daddy' and 'mistress' to describe our relationship. What can I say to you? Song Wan, have you ever seen a sugar daddy and mistress relationship where the sugar daddy serves the mistress?"

Song Wan was always gentle and rarely got into conflicts with anyone, let alone argued. Even with her eyes stinging with resentment, she could only manage to utter one sentence: "Last time... when you waited for me at the west gate of the school, you had Lian Huaiyang beaten up and sent to the hospital. You've always been like this, never telling the truth, always using clever words to shift all the blame onto others. I'm not good with words, I can't argue with you. You know in your heart all the terrible things you've done to me, Chen Jianjin. What normal couple would pressure each other like you do every day?"

"If a kiss or a touch counts as coercion..." Chen Jianjin said with a forced smile, "Baby, didn't you finish paying it off last night?"

Tears welled in her eyelashes, and confusion flickered in Song Wan's bright almond-shaped eyes. She pursed her lips, wary of his approach.

He takes a step forward, and she takes a step back.

Chen Jianjin was annoyed. He gently pulled her into his arms, tilted his head up slightly, pressed his neck against hers, and pointed to her Adam's apple, saying, "Look closely, who gave you those teeth marks?"

After saying that, he lifted the hem of his loungewear shirt, revealing the nail scratch marks on his abs.

Song Wan's cheeks flushed instantly. She didn't remember what happened last night. Subconsciously, she felt that she wasn't the type to get drunk and act recklessly, so she didn't have the confidence to make up for it, saying, "Who knows if you did this yourself?"

Chen Jianjin smiled without saying a word, his phoenix eyes fixed on her with a deep and calm gaze that easily reminded one of a lion locking onto its prey.

Song Wan's heart pounded. The intense pressure made her unable to look him in the eye any longer, and she lowered her eyelashes sheepishly.

Finally, an untimely growl from their stomachs broke the stalemate between the two.

Song Wan felt incredibly embarrassed. She covered her lower abdomen with both hands, took a step back, and lowered her head even further.

Yu Guangli took a step forward, and Song Wan was startled, "What are you doing?"

"Cook." Chen Jianjin was getting annoyed by her constantly putting on guard. He grabbed her left shoulder with one hand, turned her around, and pushed her out of the kitchen. "If you really have nothing to do, go upstairs and wash off the smell of alcohol on you. You stink."

Song Wan retorted, "If you don't like how smelly I am, then don't bring me back."

Chen Jianjin clicked his tongue lightly, "I'm willing, I like it, is that okay?"

After everyone left, Chen Jianjin started making his lovingly fried eggs again.

Song Wan and Fang Xia had arranged to go sightseeing in the city together. At the dinner table, after preparing breakfast for almost the entire time, Song Wan finally mustered up the courage to whisper her request before Chen Jianjin put down his chopsticks: "I want to go out."

Without thinking, Chen Jianjin gave a soft "hmm" and said, "I'll take you."

He guessed that she would definitely have a date with the girl from last night today.

Song Wan breathed a sigh of relief.

Her breathing was very soft, but Chen Jianjin still keenly noticed this unusual movement.

He put down his chopsticks, took out a tissue to wipe his mouth, and said, "Song Wan, I won't restrict your freedom to go out, and you don't need to be so careful with me on this issue."

Song Wan felt that his words and actions were inconsistent. After glancing at him secretly, she muttered under her breath, "I don't know the password to the apartment door lock, how am I supposed to get out?"

That's true.

Chen Jianjin nodded calmly, "So work hard and fall in love with me. I won't tell strangers my family passwords, but if it's my girlfriend who likes me, she can know whatever she wants."

Song Wan choked and couldn't help coughing.

Chen Jianjin handed her the milk, and after she had recovered, he tapped the table with his knuckles to remind her, "Eat the fried egg."
