Chapter 20 Twin Sharks

When Mingluo saw the abyss monsters swarming towards her, she felt that with Ye Zhihan by her side, she might have a chance of survival, but when she lost the Fin Tail Jade, she knew she was dead.

Anyone who has studied science would understand that she was in the deep sea at the time. After losing her fins, not only would she suffocate, but the huge water pressure on the seabed would crush her to death in minutes.

But the strange thing is that Mingluo did not die. Not only did she not die, but after waking up, she could breathe and move freely in the water.

Mingluo looked at her fish tail. She was confused by this magical world again. Her mind was full of questions: Where are my legs?

She felt around and finally confirmed that this body was indeed her own, and she had not traveled to some mermaid world. It was just that her legs had turned into incredibly beautiful white fish tails.

Ming Luo thought that the neon skirt seemed to be more than just a pretty skirt. The upper part of the skirt still fit Ming Luo normally and felt comfortable on her skin, but the lower part was outrageous. The neon skirt and the white fishtail were seamlessly connected, and the glittering tail was still dazzling, as if the neon skirt had turned into a fishtail.

Therefore, the neon skirt must be some powerful marine magic weapon, which is why it can protect her from breathing freely in the abyss of the seabed and allowing her to move smoothly after growing a fish tail.

Mingluo suddenly realized that if the colorful skirt became the lower half of the mermaid, then her upper body would only be equivalent to growing fish scales. Thinking of this, Mingluo quickly grabbed a handful of seaweed and wrapped it around her chest as a last resort.

But what Mingluo couldn't understand was that those monsters swarmed and roared and dragged her into the abyss of the sea, but did not continue to hurt her. Instead, they left her in this white cave, with no one to watch over her.

Ming Luo: Since there is no one watching, don’t blame me for running away!

After Mingluo got used to the movement of the fish tail for a while, she swam silently out of the cave. It was pitch black outside, and Mingluo relied entirely on the light emitted by her neon skirt to identify objects. She groped her way along the wall and swam as far as she could.

"Bang!"

"Ouch," Ming Luo rubbed her head and looked up, only to see a huge black stone above her head. She mistakenly thought that she had entered another cave, and the black stone that hit her head was the top of the cave, so she groped her way out again.

"Where do you want to go?" A slightly listless male voice came from above his head. However, Ming Luo looked around and didn't see anyone else.

Mingluo was like a dead pig that was not afraid of boiling water. She pretended that no one was calling her and continued to grope her way out.

What happened next was not good. Ming Luo's head was already blocked by the black stone, and now her way forward was also blocked by the black stone. When she stepped back, she touched the hard black stone again. The black stone surrounded her like a cage.

"Where do you want to go?" The slightly listless voice sounded again, but this time there was a hint of helplessness in the voice.

Ming Luo was disturbed by the voice and broke out in a cold sweat. She stammered and replied, "I... I want to go home..."

Ming Luo was then lifted up by the black stone, the water splashing on her face making her feel uncomfortable. Only when a pair of huge blood-red eyes, emitting black mist, appeared before her did the black shell's upward movement stop.

The red eyes were as big as a car. Mingluo could not imagine how exaggerated the body of this abyss monster was. She huddled against the black shell, tightly grasping a small piece of kelp in her hand.

"This is your home." His red eyes narrowed slightly, and he placed Mingluo on a stone platform on the cliff of the abyss. His movements were very gentle. It turned out that the black stones surrounding Mingluo were the black scales on his palm.

Mingluo leaned against the stone platform and looked up. Despite her best efforts, she could only see a dark blue light, almost blurry and indistinct. That was the entrance to the abyss, the crack in the abyss where she had been dragged in. Escaping the abyss was too difficult. The dense darkness above her head was filled with terrifying monsters.

"Liuguang City is just using you..." His red eyes seemed to be in great pain, his voice became much weaker, and he even sounded choked at one point.

"Jiaobai, I have been trying to save you." Tears of blood flowed from his red eyes. He seemed to be enduring great pain. He quickly transformed in front of Mingluo. His pair of terrifying huge red eyes continued to absorb the black fog in the abyss and gradually shrank. Soon, he disappeared in the boundless darkness.

Ming Luo stared at the direction where the red-eyed monster disappeared with wide eyes, thinking that the giant red-eyed monster must have mistaken her for Jiaobai, and this Jiaobai was very important to him, so she had to protect her vest and not let her true identity be discovered, otherwise she would die without knowing how.

Just when Mingluo was trying to find a way to leave this place, something rushed to Mingluo from below. With the soft light of the neon skirt, she could see the face of the person clearly.

This man's eyes were covered with a black cloth. Although his face couldn't be seen, just looking at the lower half of his face confirmed that he was a handsome man. However, his hair was disheveled and he looked like he had been through a rough time. He wore a black and red robe simply draped over his body, not even fastened properly, revealing his muscular chest and an ugly scar on his chest.

"Jiaobai, come into my arms." He called softly while standing on the stone platform.

Ming Luo didn't dare to say anything, but just swam upstream silently. Since she was blind, the probability of her escaping should be high.

But Ming Luo still underestimated the man's ability. He flew over and put his arms around the girl's slender waist, holding her in his arms. Then he stroked her smooth fishtail over and over again, with a satisfied smile on his lips. The touch from his fingertips told him that these were indeed the scales of a mermaid.

But Mingluo felt very uncomfortable. Her hair stood on end when she was touched. If she had not turned into a mermaid, her fish tail would have been her thigh!

Ming Luo exerted force and pushed the man away, unable to help but shouting angrily, "Don't touch me!"

The man seemed very confused. Mingluo could see his tightly furrowed brows even through the black cloth. "You're not Jiaobai?!"

Since she is not Jiaobai, why does she have Jiaobai's scales?

If she was Jiao Bai, then why did she avoid him like the plague?

When Ming Luo heard that his identity was going to be exposed, he didn't dare to say anything, but stared at the blind man with a wary look.

"Jiaobai...is it you? Why don't you speak...can't we go back to our previous free life?" The blind man fell into great pain again. He covered his face with his hands, and a dark death mist flowed out from between his fingers. His body kept shaking because of the excessive pain.

Mingluo still didn't dare to speak. The deathly silence made the blind man suffer.
