Chapter 21 I Review and Reflect

Chapter 21 I Review and Reflect

The living room was extremely quiet.

Lan Xue's expression didn't change at all because of Su Hui's words. He simply changed his sitting position and said calmly, "You are too extreme."

"Huh?" Su Hui pointed at himself sarcastically, as if he had heard something funny. "Me? Too extreme? Because of her, my level regressed and I haven't found a way to recover yet. You say I'm too extreme?!"

Su Hui stood up suddenly, clenching his fists so tightly that veins popped out on the back of his hands.

Looking down at Lan Xue, whose expression remained calm, Su Hui pulled up a sarcastic smile.

"Then I can only wish you success and hope you won't regret it when the time comes."

After saying this, Su Hui turned around and strode away.

Lan Xue bent her fingers and tapped her thigh lightly, then looked towards the stairs leading to the basement, "Come out."

Ji Li slowly walked out from the shadows, his voice still a little hoarse.

"Perhaps you are right."

"how?"

"My spiritual sea riot value has dropped by 5%."

And he had only received spiritual comfort from Jiang Wangyue twice.

Lan Xue played with her long hair with one hand and said calmly, "So, will we continue to cooperate?"

"Can."

Jiang Wangyue was dreaming again.

However, this time the scene in her dream was not the laboratory where the original owner stayed as a child, but her home on Earth.

Jiang Wangyue was an orphan and was adopted by foster parents when she was seven years old.

My adoptive parents are both high school teachers. Their family has always lived in the school’s staff dormitory. The house is not big, but it is warm enough.

In the dream, she seemed to have just received a doctoral admission letter. She happily opened the door and gave her adoptive parents a big hug.

Her adoptive father said he had prepared a table full of her favorite dishes and was waiting for her to come back.

Her adoptive mother took out her favorite bouquet of flowers and excitedly started planning where to travel during the holidays.

Jiang Wangyue sat between her adoptive parents, but she couldn't help feeling a little sad.

She held their hands tightly and wanted to say something, but before she could say anything, she woke up.

Jiang Wangyue stared at the ceiling in a daze, tears sliding down the corners of her eyes and wetting the pillow.

She pulled the quilt up to cover her face, and the whimpering sound like a little animal rang out in the quiet bedroom.

Mom and Dad...I miss you so much...

After crying for an unknown amount of time, Jiang Wangyue finally let go of the quilt and regained her composure.

She knew she couldn't go back and could only hope that her adoptive parents were alive and well.

Be optimistic and think that they have pension insurance and can definitely take care of themselves.

Taking a deep breath, Jiang Wangyue turned over and got out of bed, intending to take a shower.

When she was walking to the bathroom, she opened the terminal and a lot of messages from Tinar popped up.

The words were full of insults and malice, which made Jiang Wangyue's eyes darken suddenly.

She did not respond to Tinar's idea right away, but let Lan Xue handle it, which was obviously a better choice.

Jiang Wangyue took a comfortable hot bath, changed into clean and comfortable clothes, and then went downstairs.

The quiet living room was empty. Jiang Wangyue walked to the door of Lan Xue's room. Just as he was about to raise his hand to knock on the door, the door opened automatically.

No, it was opened from the inside by Lan Xue.

Lan Xue's gaze lingered on Jiang Wangyue's still red eyes for a moment, "Are you crying?"

Jiang Wangyue hummed softly with a nasal tone, then quickly changed the subject, "I want to talk to you about what happened today, is that okay?"

Since she didn't want to say it, Lan Xue didn't ask any more questions. However, a trace of worry flashed across her eyes, and then she said softly, "Of course, but before that, I think you should have dinner first."

"good."

A bowl of bacon porridge kept in an incubator and a side dish made of algae that looked like sea grapes, simple yet thoughtful.

Jiang Wangyue took the spoon from Lan Xue, her eyes curved slightly, and she asked him with a smile, "Braised pork porridge again?"

"You don't like it?"

"No, I like it very much."

Lan Xue raised the corners of her lips slightly, a smile in her voice, "As long as you like it."

Jiang Wangyue scooped up a spoonful of porridge and put it into his mouth. He asked vaguely, "By the way, who is this Isaac you mentioned?"

"He is Tinar's brother from the same father and mother. Yeyu was founded by him."

"You said he might have been responsible for this?"

Lan Xue took a tissue and placed it next to Jiang Wangyue. Seeing that she was enjoying her meal, she nodded. "Yes, he probably guessed what Tinar would do, so he arranged for someone to monitor her terminal messages in advance, intercepted and replaced the address information, and then set a trap for you."

"Madam, you were impulsive today. If Ji Li hadn't gone with you, you..."

Jiang Wangyue quickly raised her hand and said, "I was wrong. I will review and reflect on it."

Lan Xue looked at her helplessly, "Will you dare to say it again next time?"

"No, no, I'm not that kind of person."

"But I was also wrong today. I should have told you in advance that I was going into the closed laboratory."

Jiang Wangyue shook her head. "You're right. I was impulsive. I was just afraid that Tinar really had Yun Miao's photo. If it got out, it might cause great trouble for his future."

Lan Xue pressed her beautiful lips into a straight line. He couldn't help but ask, "Yun Miao hates you so much, why do you--"

"Why so many whys?" Jiang Wangyue chuckled and interrupted Lan Xue, "I just don't want to make any more mistakes."

Although it wasn't her fault, she now needs to make up for it.

Lan Xue was startled, then lowered her eyes slightly, "I understand, you should leave this matter to me."

"Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm sorry to trouble you~" Jiang Wangyue smiled and clasped his hands together, making a gesture of asking for help.

Rodriguez family.

Isaac looked coldly at his sister who was still going crazy, feeling only annoyance.

Tinar slammed the glass at Isaac's feet and demanded loudly, "Did you tamper with my terminal?!"

"No." Isaac denied it without hesitation.

"It must be you!"

Their mother, an elegant-looking aristocratic woman, frowned upon hearing this. "Isaac, is what your sister said true?"

Isaac pressed the armrest of the chair slightly, "I said I didn't."

"There's no one else but you!"

Isaac closed his eyes, forcibly suppressing the impulse in his heart, and said coldly: "This is not important. Our top priority is how to take back the trading channel of District 13 from Dark Blade."

"That's your business, what does it have to do with me?" Tinar rolled her eyes, then looked at her brother sarcastically, her eyes full of malice, "Speaking of which--"
