Escape from Paradise (Part 9)
Witch Marian found a bench and sat down, looking up: "I told you to sit down."
The two of them couldn't help but squat on the bench.
Li Xia couldn't move her body, but she kept saying, "No way, this is only a C-level book, how can you say whatever you want?"
The witch looked at him and he couldn't say a word. He stared and winked at Xu Wei wildly.
Xu Wei wisely remained silent.
"Very good, this lady still has a polite conversational attitude." She put her two feet together under her cotton skirt, held her hands in front of her belly in a proper manner, and raised her head. "Your partner has been kidnapped by me."
Xu Wei: “Hmm?”
A bit too straightforward.
"I need you to complete a game with me to win the white paper and a close friend."
Xu Wei asked tentatively: "What game?"
“Build a house.”
It turned out that he was playing with building blocks with her.
Brightly colored building blocks covered the magic carpet, and a pile of them were scattered in a large box of sunken wood summoned by magic.
"What do you want to build?" Xu Wei moved the stool and sat on the carpet, fiddling with the small, exquisite block in his hand.
The little witch has built a platform with flat square blocks: "I want to change the appearance of Bangzi's belly. The current one is too old."
"Do you want to move to another room?" Xu Wei lowered his voice unconsciously.
"Well, please help me build one."
Xu Wei doesn’t play with building blocks very often, as these toys are a considerable expense for her family and income in real life.
Fortunately, even if I haven't eaten pork, I have seen pigs run.
She started to build.
"How about a modern outfit for you?"
There are several small flower beds on the little witch's platform. The flowers in them are delicate and the leaves are lush and green. If you look at them for a long time, they seem to be breathing.
"What is modern style?" This thing didn't seem to exist in her memory.
"Forget your setting, Miss Marianne from the Middle Ages," Xu Wei first used small white blocks to form a vertical rectangular three-dimensional block, "It is probably a product of the information and industrial age. Living in a room of this style is free and convenient. For example, this is called a refrigerator."
It must be a double door.
"What are double doors?" She blinked her big eyes curiously.
Xu Wei tilted her head and looked at her: "Can you read my mind?"
"I'm sorry," she scratched her wizard hat sheepishly, the tail of her little cloak swishing back and forth, "Your inner voice is so loud that I can't help but hear it when I'm next to you."
"Who are you thinking about? I'm a witch and I've lived here for a thousand years. Outside? I never go outside. It's very dangerous there."
Xu Wei tried his best to curb the turbulent waves of his thoughts.
She put the built refrigerator aside and described it to the little witch: "This thing is usually placed in the kitchen. The temperature inside is very low, and it can preserve many foods, such as meat, vegetables and juice. The freezer below has an even lower temperature and can be used to store ice cream."
While describing it, I was also imagining what the refrigerator looked like in my mind, the most expensive one I remembered seeing in the home appliance market.
“Bang.”
There was a large double-door refrigerator in the corner of the room, exactly as I had imagined.
The little witch stood up excitedly and ran over with small steps. At first she grabbed the wrong door and couldn't open it, but she quickly reacted and switched to the other side.
With her height, she could only reach the bottom freezer. Xu Wei pulled out the first layer that she couldn't reach and chose a sea salt flavored ice cream from the full stack.
After unpacking the package, I saw a lifelike blue rabbit standing on a wooden stick, emitting a slight chill.
The little witch took the ice cream and said "thank you" softly.
"Sorry Marian, I didn't think of that." Xu Wei looked at the refrigerator, and the next second, the white double door turned into a miniature refrigerator that was only slightly taller than the little witch.
She licked the bunny's ears and smiled contentedly: "My name is Ala."
Xu Wei sat back on the carpet and started to put the pieces together faster.
She found that the blocks were not important, but the imaginative embellishments after they were put together were more important.
After adding air conditioners, washing machines, ovens and other necessary furniture to Ala, she began to think about entertainment equipment. There is no signal or network here, so there is no use for TV and computer.
Then let’s have music.
She made a cat-ear speaker and sang a few songs that she could remember the entire song while shaping it.
"Give it a name," Xu Wei put the pink mini speaker in Ala's open little hand, "Call it by its name and it will respond to you."
Ala touched the furry ears in his hand and asked, "What's your name?"
"Xu Wei."
"Its name is Xu Wei."
Xu Wei didn’t have any objection: “Xu Wei speaker.”
"Yes, which song do you want to listen to today?" The cat ears changed color, casting colorful circles of light.
Ala was very happy and kept shouting around the speaker.
Xu Wei continued to rub the cubes, with his own voice humming in the background.
I don’t know how long I stayed in this cottage. When I came to my senses, the whole room had been completely renewed.
The space has doubled in size, with a dedicated small study, kitchen and potion room. The bedroom has a dark purple fairy-tale style and is decorated with colorful plush dolls.
The living room is decorated in a warm yellow color, with a fireplace and a comfortable sofa. A transparent round glass table that is more suitable for Alla is placed on the magic carpet, and the table is filled with fruits, dew-covered young leaves and flowers.
There are even windows on the newly painted walls, with different natural landscapes updated regularly. At this moment, the window glass is showing the endless lush grassland, cattle and sheep frolicking, and the clear blue sky.
Ala leaned on the windowsill and looked outside: "What does the lamb feel like?"
Xu Wei turned his head to look at her, took apart the cat he had just made, and reassembled it.
“It’s just the last step.”
Suddenly, a "baa" sound was heard in the room.
Alla looked back in surprise and ran to hug the restless lamb. The lamb was still bleating and rubbed her nose obediently.
She said, "The lamb feels soft to the touch."
"Considering the cleanliness of your place, it will be slightly different from a real sheep," Xu Wei threw down the other parts, stood up, and rubbed his sore waist, "but it's basically the same."
For example, they don’t need to eat, they don’t have any mutton smell, and they won’t poop balls.
Allah kissed the lamb and leaned his head against it.
Xu Wei deliberately waited for her to enjoy it for a while: "Can my friend be returned to me?"
Ala held the lamb and pointed to the sofa: "He has been there all the time."
Xu Wei turned around and found that the man had fallen on the sofa with his hands folded.
This sofa was designed for Lu Fanye, and it was very uncomfortable for him to lie on it, with his long legs hanging down.
She leaned over to meet his gaze.
His hair was disheveled and he looked over with sharp eyes, the halo of light leaving a faint shadow on his tall nose.
Xu Wei lifted the hair on his forehead and smiled inexplicably: "Why, Sleeping Beauty?"
"What is Sleeping Beauty?" Ala asked, holding a book with glowing white pages behind her back.
Xu Wei then told her the fairy tale of Sleeping Beauty.
"Thank you, I like this story," she said, not being polite like a copy creature, and handed the book to her. "This is my white paper. When you open it, you can foresee your fate."
"Do you want to open it?"
Xu Wei took it and placed his finger on the cover.
But it didn't turn over.
Instead, she flipped open her colorful notebook and checked her to-do list.
"I have completed my mission," Xu Wei put down the notebook and handed the white paper back, "Sorry, I don't really like to predict fate in advance."
Ala took the book, threw it casually under his feet, and crushed it with his small leather shoes.
"Well, that's a shame," she snapped her fingers, and the two men in the room stood up involuntarily and walked out stiffly, "Then finally, let me take you out."
Xu Wei walked towards the door, but Ala did not see her off to the door. She stood there and followed her figure with her eyes.
With a look of regret and sadness.
Although he looks like a child, his voice sounds old. He claims to have lived for a thousand years, but his every move is like that of an innocent child.
Innocence and worldliness are like two rivers that never communicate, yet they merge naturally into one in her.
Xu Wei looked at her from a distance in the corridor: "Will my future be bad?"
"No," Ala shook her head desperately, her soft hair brushing across her round cheeks, as if refusing to impose such a fate on others, "I don't know, in fact, I can't see the fate of others. If you open it, you will have to stay with me forever."
She reached out and touched the lamb's head, and the lamb leaned against her obediently: "This commission was not originally like this."
Xu Wei remained silent.
At this time, the dark corridor has become bright. The dark walls on the left and right sides have been hollowed out and inlaid with bright glass curtain walls. Behind the glass are piles of countless white bones. Some of them still maintain human shape, while some are only scattered bones. They are crowded together, filling the space on both sides of the corridor.
Xu Wei's fingertips touched the curtain wall: "Why is it different this time?"
"Because this is the last time."
The little witch tilted her head towards her and gave her an innocent smile, and the door painted with intricate patterns suddenly closed.
The door closed so quickly that she didn't even have time to see the little witch's last move.
The door was locked tightly and could not be opened anymore.
Xu Wei inexplicably recalled the last time she saw the little witch.
It was in a modern and cozy cottage that took a long time to create. The chandelier cast a hazy yellow light. The little witch wore a tall pointed wizard hat, her red hair draped neatly around her shoulders, a pure white lamb squinted its eyes and leaned against her neck, and a warm flame burned in the fireplace behind her.
The two little creatures rely on each other. Outside the window, the vast grassland is still full of vitality, free and unrestrained.
Xu Wei walked out of the tent. It was still light outside and the second wave of card rain had not yet arrived.
Li Xia sat on the ground without any image, twisting her heels and yelling, "Oh my god, I've been sitting for so long, my feet are numb."
Lu Fanye: "It was less than two minutes."
He motioned Xu Wei to look at the wall clock of a nearby beverage shop.
Xu Wei looked and saw that it was 10:32. They found the tent at around 10:25, so minus the time to get in and out, it was indeed less than two minutes.
She turned back thoughtfully. The tent was much dimmer than when they entered. The light of the star ornaments faded and turned into ordinary plastic stars.
How many two minutes like this did Allah spend in there?
Xu Wei bent his index finger and knocked on the tent stand.
"Bangzi?"
