Home (V)
Xu Wei tried the simplest way to escape.
She walked across the mess, returned to the door and unlocked it.
The bolt made a slight sound and the lock opened halfway, and something cold immediately pressed against the back of my neck.
"Wife, what are you doing?" The voice behind my ear was cold and had a hint of unnoticeable madness.
As expected.
Xu Wei curled her lips, frowned into the shape of the Chinese character "川", turned around and naturally placed her hand on Zhou Ze's tentacle: "Hubby, I'm so tired."
Zhou Ze looked over with a gloomy expression, and the tentacles under his feet quickly climbed up her body: "Why are you tired?"
Xu Wei was speechless for a moment.
I didn't expect that once I showed that I wanted to leave, he wouldn't even pretend.
The tentacles had already climbed up to her chest and abdomen, and were showing signs of moving upward. The restraints were getting tighter and tighter, secreting irritating, corrosive liquids, as if warning her that if she didn't give a reasonable explanation, she would be the next bathroom ghost.
Xu Wei's mouth corners drooped down, his whole face twisted into a knot, and he pointed his index finger at his chest: "You don't care about me at all!"
Zhou Ze had a blank expression on his face: "Why don't I care about you?"
Hearing that, Xu Wei's mouth curled even wider.
With a sad face, she struggled to free her arm and poked the tentacles on her waist: "Look, I just gave birth to my first child, and I haven't even had a good rest after giving birth, but you're using such a cold thing to pester me. Women's bodies are damaged after giving birth, and you treat me like this before I've recovered. You even want me to have a daughter in the future. Why is my life so miserable——"
Zhou Ze's body stiffened and he subconsciously slowed down his movements.
"Look at this, look at this!" She lost her temper, pushed away the tentacles that were trying to restrain her, covered her face with her hands, and pretended to cry, "I've told you all this, but you still want to do this? Have you ever cared about me at all? Or do you think that having a child has tied me down, and that I won't be allowed to speak in this family anymore?"
His voice was getting louder and louder: "Dabao is so young, and I have to take care of him and do housework. I have to cook for you when you come back. Am I not tired? You actually asked me why I am tired? Zhou Ze, Zhou Ze, do you have a heart or not!"
Since we have to perform this family ethics drama, we might as well defeat magic with magic.
Zhou Ze was pushed away by her, feeling somewhat unhappy, and seeing her emotional, he swallowed his words inexplicably: "You..."
Xu Wei ignored his hesitation to speak and started to throw a tantrum when the conversation started. She pushed over the storage box beside the entrance, and the clothes inside were scattered all over the floor.
She put her hands on her hips, pointed at the other person's nose and cursed more and more smoothly: "You have no conscience! I gave birth to your children, cooked and washed clothes, and worked hard every day waiting for you to come home, and you miss me so much? We have been together for so many years, and I was really blind to marry you. Zhou Ze, I want to ask you now, do you love me? Just tell me, in one word, do you love me or not!"
Zhou Ze was yelled at by her for a few words, and his face was extremely ugly, but strangely he did not wrap his tentacles around her again. Instead, he deliberately suppressed his expression and said gently: "It's my fault for not paying attention to your hard work. I won't say that next time."
He seemed to think that she was suffering from postpartum depression.
Xu Wei slapped away the tentacle he extended to show his concern, and refused to give in: "You say it nicely, but I was always coaxed by you before, but in fact, nothing has changed. It will be the same in the future, and I will not suffer any less! Zhou Ze, do you have a heart? Even your apology is not sincere!"
Zhou Ze frowned and blocked the way to the door calmly: "Wife, did someone say something to you? Before... you never acted like this, nor did you question my love for you, nor did you feel that you were suffering by following me."
"Besides, where are you going in the middle of the night?"
His voice became cold again, and the tentacles under his body were ready to move.
The topic was turned back again. Seeing that he was not going to give up until he got an answer, Xu Wei lowered her eyelashes: "You only spend a few hours with me after get off work every day. When you go to bed at night, I still have to take care of Dabao and do housework. I don't have any personal time. Today, the company called me and asked me to write a resignation letter. I was fired..."
She was visibly depressed: "Didn't you say you had to get up early to go to work tomorrow? I'm sad but I don't want to disturb you, so I just want to go out and relax by myself. Is that not okay?"
Xu Wei forced out two tears, and after twisting her face for a long time, the tears finally flowed down her cheeks. Her hands were shaking, as if she wanted to wipe away the tears but didn't want him to see, and she looked extremely aggrieved.
Seeing people crying, Zhou Ze stood there stiffly, as if his character setting did not include any provision for dealing with such situations.
There was a strange silence in the air for a moment. Zhou Dabao was still crying loudly in the baby room, but his "parents" were facing each other at the entrance, and they were in a stalemate.
Xu Wei breathed a sigh of relief.
Thanks to the Wuyun imitation system copy, at least even the BOSS still has basic behavioral logic.
In other words, no matter how strong he is, he cannot go against his character setting. As a good man who "loves his wife", it is reasonable for his wife to be depressed and want to go out to relax, and he cannot hurt her because of this.
When she discovered that the handwriting on the note had changed, she guessed that "leaving the room" must not be as simple as walking out of the room. She should solve all the puzzles in the room, and the third mixed element that she had not yet figured out was crucial.
It is known that the first element is a simulation loop, and the second is related to a family tragedy caused by postpartum depression. In these two elements, Zhou Ze, as the BOSS, does not have a large role, and even in the second element he is in the background. So the third element is most likely his home court.
If you can combine the three elements into a complete storyline, you will most likely find clues to escape the room.
Xu Wei needs to understand him.
Since the meaning of the female ghost in the bedroom, the inverted clock and the reverse text calendar has not yet been figured out, although Xu Wei has some ideas in his mind, he still needs to further confirm his guess.
She had to carefully observe the details that she had missed while running away.
She gently raised her hand, grasped one of the other's tentacles, and took the initiative to touch her cheek to wipe away the two tears.
When she looked up again, she had already comforted herself: "Honey, I know what you mean. You're also worried that it's not safe for me to go out alone at this late hour."
Zhou Ze's expression gradually eased when he heard this. He lowered his head to watch her rubbing her wrist, and his tone became gentle: "It's good that you know."
"But I just want to go out and relax. I'm so bored at home," Xu Wei pouted. Seeing that he seemed unhappy, she quickly put her arms on his shoulders and said coquettishly, "How about you go out with me? This way I don't have to be afraid of walking alone at night."
After saying this, she opened her eyes wide in anticipation, as if she was talking about something extremely important to her.
Zhou Ze's first reaction was to refuse, but before he could say anything, he saw her curl her lips as if she had anticipated the upcoming conversation and was about to throw a tantrum, so he had to swallow his words back.
He squinted his eyes and looked her up and down for a while, as if trying to figure out whether she was still being controlled. He was silent for a moment, and finally agreed vaguely: "Just for a while, not too long, I have to go to work tomorrow."
“Yeah!”
Xu Wei immediately pulled him up excitedly, pushed open the door, and walked down quickly.
The dim voice-controlled lights lit up floor by floor, and the stairwell was extremely quiet, with only the sound of two people's footsteps.
They walked down the stairs at a fairly fast pace, and by the time they were out of the corridor, the rain had stopped outside. The lights in the other buildings in the community were all off, and there was no moon in the sky. Only the dim street lamps leaked a few tiny rays of light, which could not even illuminate the road below.
Xu Wei wanted to take another look at the darkness ahead, but was dragged back. The "a while" that Zhou Ze mentioned actually only included the time it took to go downstairs.
“How could this happen!”
He no longer paid attention to his "wife's" protests, and just like he had done before, he wrapped his arms around the person and climbed along the wall of the building.
When he returned home, Xu Weisheng felt depressed. His clothes were inevitably soaked. He went back to the bedroom in annoyance and opened the closet to look for something.
Zhou Ze stood at the door, watching her every move.
"Where's my white dress?" she muttered, rummaging around in the closet. "I clearly put it here before."
"I'm going to bed, just pick one up." He was becoming more and more impatient.
"That won't do. I have to hand in my resignation tomorrow. I'd better leave a good impression on my colleagues." She held the closet door and glanced back at Zhou Ze. "If you are sleepy, go to sleep first. I will be gentle."
Zhou Ze said nothing.
Xu Wei ignored him and concentrated on searching.
Not finding it in the closet, she glanced vaguely under the bed.
Zhou Ze became more and more impatient: "Don't look, there's nothing under the bed."
Xu Wei shrugged and picked one from the closet at random: "Let's go with this one. By the way, what time is it now?"
Zhou Ze: "See for yourself."
Xu Wei turned around and walked to the desk: "I remember there is a small alarm clock here."
Before she even got close, her wrist was grabbed tightly. Zhou Ze pushed her away with a gloomy face: "Get out!"
Xu Wei pretended to lose his balance, screamed and fell to the ground, glancing under the bed.
The long-haired female ghost was actually curled up at the foot of the bed, lying sideways, hugging her knees, and shivering.
It looked at Xu Wei, and its ferocity was gone, only fear remained in its dark pupils.
Before he had time to observe more information, Zhou Ze pulled him up from the ground and dragged him towards the door.
Xu Wei quickly hugged him tightly and shouted, "Hubby, I'm not going out. I want to sleep with you tonight!"
The sound was so loud that even Zhou Ze frowned. He stopped and asked, "What are you going to do now?"
Xu Wei put down her hand with a smile, broke away from him, and stood at attention: "Of course -"
"You have to run."
She rushed to the desk as fast as she could.
The latter reacted quickly, roared, and countless tentacles surged wildly.
Unfortunately, the bedroom was not big, and the distance from the desk to the door was only a few steps. What's more, the person who escaped had trained in sprinting for some time and could walk at an extreme speed in a short period of time.
"Bang!" The violent tentacles slammed the windowsill, leaving a deep dent.
Xu Wei grabbed the overturned mirror on the desk and opened it towards himself. The mirror reflected the blank wall behind him and the surging tentacles.
Still no image of her.
She immediately raised her hand and hit the mirror.
□□ touched the mirror, and instead of being blocked by any hard objects, ripples like water were produced. A powerful suction force immediately pulled her forearm into the space behind her.
The tentacles had already wrapped around her waist and abdomen at this time. Time was running out, so Xu Wei gritted her teeth and rushed in.
"No!!!"
The dark clouds were roaring behind us.
