Jiawang Swimming Pool (V)

Jiawang Swimming Pool (V)

At 7:30 in the evening, the swimming pool began to empty.

A huge red banner was unfurled on the roof of the hall, with the words "Warmly Celebrate the Grand Opening of the Jiawang Championship" written in large characters, and a bunch of small characters squeezed in the lower right corner:

We sincerely thank the sponsor Mr. Wang for providing a gold medal of immunity from death, which will be given as a reward to the winning team of the team competition.

Lao Fang read the large banner on top of the head: "Gold medal for immunity from death?"

The temptation of the word "free from death" is indeed great.

Generally speaking, there are three main sources of props for prop masters: first, gift packs from novice players; second, resale and looting; and third, rewards for completing certain tasks in dungeons.

However, reselling requires points, and snatching can easily make enemies, so only the channel of completing copy mission rewards is suitable for novices.

After listening to Brother Fan’s popular science, Xu Wei, as a person with special abilities, was not very interested. Instead, he remembered the language guidance from the spherical man before. Could it be that she was doing it for this gold medal?

A sharp whistle sounded throughout the stadium, and the lights in the stadium went out, even the emergency exit sign was not spared. Fortunately, the moonlight projected from the glass roof did not make the environment fall into absolute darkness, but it was only enough to barely see clearly.

As the whistle ended, a layer of black smoke rose above the surface of all the swimming pools. The swimmers still in the water began to struggle in fear, and then disappeared in the black smoke with tragic screams.

The black smoke dissipated and the pool water returned to calm, as if nothing had ever happened.

"Okay, the competition pool cannot be occupied." A familiar female voice said from behind.

Xu Wei turned around and saw the spherical person standing behind the six people holding a stack of plastic cardboard folders. There was a bright yellow whistle hanging around her neck. Behind her, there were several other figures following her - it was exactly as the name implies, pitch-black human-shaped shadows.

The spherical man led the figures past the six people and headed towards the swimming pool where Xu Wei and the others practiced during the day. It was not known whether it was intentional or coincidental, but this was the venue for the competition.

Three figures stood in each lane, leaving the closest space empty.

It was a pleasant surprise that the referee was a ball-type person. Xu Wei relaxed a little. Although the former had just turned the pool into a melting furnace, it was still much better than Jiawang and the swollen eyes.

Leaning over, his tone sounded somewhat familiar: "Good evening, Miss Referee."

The ball-shaped man nodded and was about to ask them whether they would participate in the preliminaries when Xu Wei asked, "Excuse me, what is considered a foul?"

The words were stuffed back at the tip of his tongue. The instigator was still blinking and looking at him expectantly. The ball-shaped man finally swallowed his words: "Any attempt to interfere with the game is a foul."

"What happens if you commit a foul?"

"Depending on the circumstances, minor offenders will be given a warning, while serious offenders will be disqualified from all competitions."

After saying that, the ball-shaped man did not give Xu Wei any more questions and looked at the empty seats in the swimming lane: "Are you going to participate or give up?"

Now the team fell silent.

No one knows what will happen down there, not to mention that this pool of water just swallowed up a whole group of people, which is really frightening.

But Xu Wei actually didn't think so. While waiting for the warm-up match, she thought about it carefully. First of all, the copy would not have a death ending. Secondly, in the next five days, players must participate in the competition to win the gold medal, so they must go into the water.

If you compete in the water, you will die. Nine lives are not enough to pass the level.

The battle of wits and courage with the dungeon routines that day made her understand the nature of the game. Rules are rules, but you can find loopholes. As long as the loopholes are reasonable and convincing, this may be a way of passing the level left by the system itself.

For example, by coincidence, the referee is a ball-shaped person who has an "ambiguous" attitude towards the players.

No matter how much she thought in her mind, she did not persuade anyone to go into the water. After all, she only has one life. She can't even swim, let alone ask others to risk their lives.

Just when I was thinking about giving up, Lu Fanyezhui spoke up from behind: "Let me do it."

One of the three shadows is in position at the starting point, and the ball-shaped man holds the whistle.

The whistle blew and the four contestants entered the water almost at the same time.

Xu Wei quickly followed, running and watching.

The three figures were not very fast at first, and they were far behind. Lu Fanye always maintained his leading position. Then, the shadow man exerted his strength and caught up with them for a long distance.

Fifty meters is not long. From the start to the time the shadow man caught up, half the distance had already been covered.

Suddenly, the two shadows on the side suddenly changed lanes and rushed directly into the second lane!

Lu Fanye was in the first lane. Because he was in the leading position and couldn't see any changes behind him, Xu Wei was so anxious that he wanted to shout out.

But he soon discovered that the shadows seemed to have no intention of harming Lu Fanye. They approached the second lane just to merge with the first shadow.

The fused shadow became much faster, and soon reached the level of being on par with Lu Fanye, and there was a tendency for it to surpass him.

"Hurry! Hurry!" Zhang Guang shouted anxiously.

Lu Fanye seemed to have heard Zhang Guang's voice, but he did not panic and still maintained a speed almost synchronized with the shadow.

Soon, we will reach the end.

Lu Fanye, who was well prepared, suddenly accelerated, left Shadow behind, and raised his hand to touch the finish line.

If the opponent is slow, then keep some energy to wait for changes; if the opponent is fast, then go all out, and if the situation is not right, then give up and go ashore immediately. This was the rough countermeasure that Xu Wei and Lu Fanye discussed in the afternoon.

The swimming competition in the copy world obviously cannot be treated as a regular competition. If you try your best to rush forward, something might go wrong.

But what puzzled Xu Wei was that from the beginning to the end of the warm-up match, the copy did not pose too many threats to the players. The only death point was at 7:30, where the players would be melted by the pool water if they did not get ashore.

During the day, there were three checkpoints just for entering the venue, changing clothes, and eating. In comparison, the warm-up match seemed a bit anticlimactic. Is this a benefit for having more levels for novices?

After running to the finish line, Lu Fanye was still standing there, taking a deep breath, holding onto the stairs and preparing to go up.

His strength was obviously running out, and the match had taken a lot of his energy.

"Be careful!" Xu Wei's face changed. Before he could explain, his body reacted before his brain and he kicked hard into the pool.

With a loud bang, the shadow man who wanted to sneak attack Lu Fanye from behind flew out. Because Xu Wei was using his entire body weight in that kick, he flew quite far.

The latter also fell sideways into the pool.

In his haste to save Lu Fan Ye, he didn't have time to think too much and forgot that the end point was also a deep water area, a full two meters deep, to the extent that even if Xu Wei stood up straight... he couldn't get out of the water.

His mouth and nose were forced to choke several times, he couldn't open his eyes, his feet couldn't touch the ground, his body continued to sink, and he could only wave his hands around. At this moment, Xu Wei was extremely panicked.

What made her even more terrified was that the water waves were rippling behind her and something was swimming towards her.

The dark, sticky, heavy feeling of oppression like a mountain came over me again. In the dim water, I could only vaguely see that huge shadow. It stood there quietly, without any emotion, silently wrapping up and swallowing everything.

Suddenly, it spread out its body, and the black fog expanded like a tide, spreading in all directions. The huge, thick substance that felt like the pressure of a planet enveloped the entire world.

The dark calm sea suddenly became turbulent, with waves rolling over and knocking the little man on the sea to stagger and fall into the sea again.
