Six Days in a Deserted Village (Part 1)

Six Days in a Deserted Village (Part 1)

Only a blurry ball of light could be seen through the black cloth in front of his eyes. His hands were bound tightly with hemp ropes. He was sitting on a wooden board with the chassis vibrating slightly. A breeze blew from the front, and his drooping hair brushed against the wound on his cheek, causing a slight stinging pain.

There were several warm bodies next to me and I could hear the sound of sobbing.

Xu Wei tried to move her wrists but failed to free herself from the restraints. Her bent legs felt numb, so she changed her position and accidentally kicked a nearby limp limb, causing her to let out a scream.

This scream immediately caused other screams.

A head popped out from the opening in front, appearing as just a blurry black shadow under the black cloth.

"Why are you yelling? If you keep yelling, I'll chop you into pieces and feed you to the dogs!"

The voice was fierce and had a thick accent.

Frightened by the sound, the screams and sobs quickly stopped, and the surroundings fell into deathly silence.

Xu Wei felt that he had injuries of varying sizes on his body, most of which were bruises, with very few cuts and scratches.

She was on a moving vehicle, which was closed on three sides, with only a light-transmitting hole on the front, and the road was a bit bumpy.

It was daytime outside, and one could frequently hear birds singing and the rustling of wind through the leaves. The air was fresh, with a light smell of earth.

Not like the hustle and bustle of the city.

She calmed down and listened to the conversation outside.

"Old Chen, let's wash our hands after we finish this job. My wife is waiting for me to go back and be with our son."

"You're in a hurry, aren't you supposed to deliver a shipment later? Did you forget?"

"I mean we'll stop doing this after we deliver the goods. I don't want to come to this village again. It's weird and creepy!"

"That's not the case. Last time when we were negotiating goods, I came out to pee and was almost scared to death by a sneaky old woman!"

As the two were talking, there was another noise coming from the cart.

Old Chen kicked the cargo box in annoyance, and screams came from inside.

He had no choice but to stick his head in again and found that everyone inside was crowded to the corners, leaving only one person in the middle of the cargo box, who was sprawled out, taking up all the space.

He opened his mouth to curse when the man suddenly looked up and smiled at him.

A strange sound of music came, his head sank, and his hand on the cave entrance unconsciously softened.

"Tell me your name."

The woman's low voice was so bewitching that it easily overwhelmed his consciousness and tricked him into answering questions involuntarily.

"Name...Chen San."

"Very good," she encouraged him with her pleasant ending, "So, who am I?"

Who is it?

who is she?

Chen San's pupils gradually lost focus.

"You are... the master."

"Old Chen?"

Seeing no movement from this side, another person outside the car heard footsteps approaching: "Are you done? I tell you, if you scream again, I'll beat you up. After you've beaten them into submission, let's see who dares to scream again. This is all these women are capable of. They won't even dare to make a sound when they're sold out."

"What's wrong with you, Lao Chen?"

Under the old locust tree at the entrance of the village, the village chief was anxiously waiting for the "goods" to be delivered.

It is now two o'clock in the afternoon, and the two people who transported the goods have not given any definite news. Some villagers have come to urge them from time to time, and he himself is anxious.

I hope nothing has happened. All other items have been prepared long ago, only this batch is missing. It will be too late to find them at the last minute.

I took out my cell phone from my pocket to contact someone again, and in the distance on the hillside appeared a donkey-drawn cart with two people sitting on it.

The village chief breathed a sigh of relief, put down his phone, and waited for the car to slowly move over.

When he got closer, he found that there was a man and a woman in the car. He was familiar with the man, who had been here before. The woman was wearing a white coat in broad daylight and looked very unfamiliar.

"Who is this?" The village chief hesitated and did not go up to greet him.

Chen San jumped off the donkey cart and helped the woman down: "This is my sister. I called her to help. A car accident happened on the road and Lao Zhang went to deal with it. Since you are in a hurry, let me go first."

The village chief was relieved and asked Chen San to check the goods.

Xu Wei helped them open the cargo box.

There were five or six women lying in a twisted state inside, all with their eyes covered with black cloth and their hands tied. Some had fainted, while others were shaking and sobbing.

The village chief stepped forward and pinched each of them hard, watching the women struggling and screaming with satisfaction: "Okay, they are all awake, so the one who ran away will be discarded. The money will be transferred to your account. Send the goods in first."

Xu Wei followed them into the village entrance.

This village is far from the dirt road we came from, with mountains behind it, and it is very remote. The houses in the village are all high and low earthen brick houses, with dilapidated walls, and the best few houses are just covered with tiles.

When they passed by the old locust tree, there was a boundary marker with blunted corners standing under the tree, with large, unclear characters written on it.

"cross".

As the donkey cart moved on the bumpy cobblestone road, figures popped out from behind the doors and windows of the houses along the street, their eager gazes fixed on the inside of the donkey cart, occasionally moving to the two strangers Xu Wei and Chen San.

No villagers greeted them. Along the way, there was only the sound of donkey hooves clattering and dead leaves swirling and falling to their feet. The figures' heads turned as the donkey cart moved forward, and only when they were out of sight did they quietly close the doors and windows.

It's very quiet.

The bracelet hasn't vibrated yet, and this time the task prompt doesn't seem to be triggered as soon as you enter. Xu Wei is not in a hurry and slowly looks around the new environment.

The donkey cart passed through the narrow passage and entered the center of the village, and the view in front of us suddenly opened up.

There is actually a large flat area here that is a hundred meters wide. The flat stone platform in the middle is about two people tall. At this time, the stone platform is empty, with only dry reddish-brown suspicious marks left on the corners.

Behind the large flat land is the ancestral hall. The main door is wide open, many candles are lit, yellow banners are hung, and many tablets are displayed for memorials. The newly burned incense emits faint gray smoke, and the cushions are empty.

The village chief led his people to the two woodsheds next to the ancestral hall, opened one of the doors, and asked them to help deliver the "goods" in.

Xu Wei folded his hands and did not move. He did not say anything and asked Chen San to get busy. Soon, three young men from the village came to help.

"There's one last one. Old Chen, please help hold up his head." The village chief directed Chen San to go inside, and after he entered, he quietly moved towards the door.

"OK."

Chen San and another young man carried the struggling "goods" inside, threw it down and were about to walk out.

"Bang!"

The village chief sneered and kicked Chen San who was lying on the ground, then turned around and said, "It's a good thing that the goods escaped and this woman came over, otherwise I really would have to call more people to clean up."

As expected, thieves rob each other.

Xu Wei looked calm and loosened his folded arms.

Three men approached her, and the village chief raised the stick in his hand, looking quite proud: "Are you going in by yourself, or are you going to be beaten in?"

Xu Wei laughed.

"ah!!"

The man closest to her was the first to let out a scream. He covered his neck and stepped back. He tripped over the threshold and his head hit the wall with a dull thud.

Blood soon seeped out from between the fingers covering his throat. He was unable to speak, and blood was flowing from the corners of his mouth. He could only make vague "ho ho" sounds.

Cut the throat with one knife.

"Old Zhao!"

The village chief retreated in a hurry, looking in astonishment at the woman whose aura had changed drastically.

Tearing off her docile disguise, her brows were tinged with a hint of hostility due to the murder, her deep eyes stared coldly at me, the dagger in her hand shone silver in the sunlight, bright red blood dripped from the edge.

She raised the corner of her mouth, looking a little arrogant: "Go in?"

Something unexpected happened, and the two men who rushed over from the side were stunned, without stopping their momentum, as if they had not yet reacted.

Xu Wei dodged the punch by leaning sideways and kicked the man who attacked him from behind in the crotch. As the man screamed, he raised his hand and the dagger pierced directly into his brain through the chin.

There was a distinct sound of the jawbone cracking.

“Aaaaaaaah!!”

The man who was swinging the punch was so scared that the wooden stick dropped from his hand. He stared in horror at the body of his companion who was nailed to the spot, without any trace of the ferocious look he had just shown.

"save……"

My legs started shaking wildly.

"Help!!"

"Shhh."

Xu Wei smiled and gestured to him to keep quiet. She exerted a little force with her other hand and pulled out the dagger. The corpse fell limply to the ground, and the blood spurted out and splattered all over the wall. Her white coat was also soaked with blood, which dripped down one by one.

The man's neck seemed to be strangled for a moment and he dared not make any sound anymore. His legs went limp and he fell to the ground, motionless.

Xu Wei raised his hand to wipe the blood on his face, leaving a bloodstain. He turned the dagger in his hand and pointed it at the village chief: "Who do you want to go in?"

The village chief turned and ran.

Xu Wei was quick to grab the man, twisted his leg around, threw him to the ground with his back, stepped on him, and crushed him without mercy.

"ah--"

The village chief cried out in pain, his whole body convulsed, and he kowtowed on the stone road in fear: "Sister! Sister, I was wrong! Forgive me, please…"

He hit the ground so hard that blood soon came out of his forehead.

"Don't move."

Xu Wei lowered his eyes and rolled over the man. With a glance, he saw the other young man who was still alive just climbed up and knelt down on the spot: "Don't kill me! I won't run! Don't kill me!"

“Spare me!!”

Chen Yu was woken up by the noise in the room in a daze, and her head still hurt a little.

She opened her eyes slightly, and the light pierced in, causing her to squint again.

But soon his eyes widened again.

Killing people!!

She was so frightened that she trembled and tried to get up in panic to escape, but her hands were tied. She stumbled and rolled to the side, meeting a pair of cold eyes.

The owner of the eyes was calm. He glanced at her and continued to observe the movements at the other end of the room.

An old man was holding a man tightly, pressing him to the ground, and cutting the flesh on his face with a knife.

The man screamed and wailed, his face was full of pits and pits, several pieces had been cut off, blood was flowing down his uneven skin, his body struggled frantically, but he was stabbed several times in succession.

Gradually, his voice became weaker, and the old man leaned on him, cutting the meat and stuffing it into his mouth.

Chen Yu was both frightened and nauseated, and couldn't help vomiting.

The noise attracted the attention of other people in the room.

Except for the old man, everyone here was tied up and witnessed the massacre. Some people had indifferent expressions like the man just now, some looked reluctant, but most of them were numb because they were used to it.

Her voice also caught the old man's attention.

The old man's hands were covered in blood, with some of the man's flesh and blood still remaining on the knife wound. He stood up, stepped on the dying man, and walked towards Chen Yu.

"Eat a man, then a woman, that should be enough..."

He grinned and swung the blade in his hand.

Chen Yu stepped back in horror, but there was nowhere to go and he banged his head against the door in panic.

"What are you doing? This is against the law!"

"My family will call the police! I'm warning you not to move!"

“Don’t come over here!!”

Her hysterical screams did not threaten the old man at all. Instead, he laughed even louder and pointed at her face with the knife.

"Where should I get off——"

"Bang!"

A loud explosion.

The skinny body slammed into the wall at the other end of the room, making a grinding sound as if flesh was being flattened.

The old man and the door next to him were blown away.

Fly far away.

Chen Yu slowly raised her head and looked at the open door with eyes moist with fear.

A small piece of sunlight came in, and dust was suspended in the air at the junction of shadows. A woman in a white coat stepped on the threshold with a knife in her hand, making a loud sound.

"Lu Fanye!"

"I! Come! To! Save! You!"
