The old monk stared intently at Ye Qiu, already sensing that this young man seemed to have ill intentions.
But the old monk was at the Grandmaster level, so he was not afraid and calmly smiled, "Does the benefactor really want to try?"
"I really want to."
Ye Qiu reached out and took the knife.
The old monk took a deep breath and secretly circulated his inner energy, covering his entire body.
Then, the old monk said in a deep voice, "Come on."
"good."
Ye Qiu smiled slightly, turned the back of the knife around, and with a very light touch, touched the old monk's abdomen, separating the two points immediately.
"What the heck, is this what you call cutting? That's ridiculous."
"Hey bro, haven't you eaten yet?"
“Cut it again.”
"This has to be done again, or we'll have to pay them."
A group of people were making a fuss, creating a great deal of noise.
What the onlookers couldn't see was the old monk's eyes filled with shock.
Ye Qiu had only touched him slightly, yet it felt as if he had been struck by lightning.
If the other party's level of cultivation were not superior to one's own, there would be absolutely no way they could cause one to feel this way.
After looking at Ye Qiu's youthful appearance, the old monk seemed to realize something and suddenly understood; "You...you are Ye..."
"Indeed, I never imagined my name would become so famous?"
Ye Qiu was surprised.
The old monk suddenly understood, and then felt relieved.
"Young Master Ye, I never expected to meet you on the street. I am truly ashamed. Your reputation in the martial arts world is now widely known."
The old monk put his hands together in prayer and bowed.
Ye Qiu returned the greeting and said with a smile, "How about we talk somewhere else?"
"As you wish, Young Master Ye. Please go first."
The old monk agreed, and didn't forget to pick up the cardboard box containing the money from the ground.
Let's go together.
Soon, the two walked away side by side.
The onlookers, who hadn't heard their conversation, were completely bewildered and had no idea what was going on.
"Holy crap, are these two putting on an act?"
"These days, there are so many tricks. I just gave them a hundred."
"I gave fifty, what a huge loss! This whole spectacle is so ridiculous and frustrating."
...
Not long after, the old monk led Ye Qiu to a sky bridge.
Under the overpass, by the river, a bald boy sat cross-legged.
The bald boy was not old, but from behind, he had an otherworldly air about him, like a young Buddha.
But from the front, the boy has a handsome face with a blood-red lightning bolt mark between his eyebrows, giving off a demonic aura that contradicts his otherworldly charm.
“Young Master Ye, he is my disciple, whose Buddhist name is Lianzhen. It is because of him that this humble monk has to perform on the street.”
The old monk smiled bitterly.
"What's wrong with him?"
Ye Qiu asked.
"Alas, to be honest, Young Master Ye, Lian Zhen has been sitting here for five days because two different forces within his body have been in fierce conflict, one righteous and one evil, and the situation is dangerous."
"This humble monk's abilities are limited; I can only stabilize the body to prevent its death. To completely control it, I need to purchase some precious medicinal herbs to brew a medicinal soup for it to soak in for a day. That's why I had no choice but to earn money. I am ashamed."
The old monk sighed.
"Master, are you planning to brew the legendary body-refining medicinal soup?"
Ye Qiu asked with a smile.
The old monk was startled by what he heard and stared at Ye Qiu in disbelief.
Many renowned medical experts had never even heard of this medicinal soup, yet Ye Qiu directly named it, demonstrating his exceptional skill.
"It seems that Young Master Ye is quite knowledgeable in this area. I didn't expect that Young Master Ye not only has amazing talent in martial arts, but is also an expert in medicine."
The old monk was amazed.
"You flatter me, Master. Your disciple does seem quite different. He is very talented, but why has he fallen to this state? Logically speaking, the Buddhist sect should be willing to do its best to cultivate him."
Ye Qiu voiced his doubts.
The old monk shook his head and said bitterly, "I found Lianzhen on the road. When I found him, he was only two months old. So I brought him back to the temple."
As Lianzhen grew older, his talent for cultivation began to emerge, which was indeed extraordinary. However, the blood mark between his eyebrows became clearer and clearer, and he became somewhat demonic. He would often lose control, destroying many things in the temple and injuring many people.
The abbot later felt that Lianzhen was an omen of bad luck and wanted to expel him from the temple, so this humble monk and his disciples swept him out of the temple.
"I understand," Ye Qiu said suddenly. "Even if Lian Zhen is truly a demon, he has already entered the Buddhist sect, yet the Buddhist sect does not save him. It's rather ironic."
“A temple cannot represent Buddhism. Just like this humble monk, although I have left the temple, I am still a member of Buddhism and am still undergoing spiritual practice. Buddha has not abandoned this child.”
The old monk laughed.
“That makes a lot of sense, then I’ll help him out.”
Ye Qiu stepped forward and came to stand behind Lian Zhen.
Then, Ye Qiu stretched out a hand and placed it on the top of his head.
The old monk didn't stop them, but watched nervously.
“Master, as long as Lianzhen can control the two forces within his body, his mind will not be affected. I first intervened to force the two forces to calm down, and then taught him how to resolve the problem.”
Ye Qiu said.
The old monk was overjoyed upon hearing this: "Thank you for your trouble, Young Master Ye."
"Then I'll begin." Ye Qiu nodded and started immediately without hesitation.
After trying it out, Ye Qiu discovered that the two forces within Lianzhen's body were ridiculously powerful, their strength no less than that of a Grandmaster. No wonder the old monk couldn't handle them.
But for Ye Qiu, this was difficult, yet he could solve it.
