Chapter 94

Chapter 94◇

◎A Real Madman vs. A Pretending to Be Mad◎

Seeing that he was about to anger the young couple, the man in blue finally showed his understanding side, and began to keep quiet, silently following closely behind them.

After catching up with the main group, Duan Jingchuan only said a few words to Xiuer, "The young master behind us is hungry, get him some dry food."

He then grabbed Feng Ran by the waist and pulled her directly into the carriage. The carriage curtain slammed shut, blocking any outside prying eyes.

The young man in blue smiled broadly, "Interesting."

However, the young man in blue soon lost interest in the carriage's movements, because he had plenty of food in front of him.

He wasn't lying. He had been lying here for many days, and his food supplies had long since run out. The winter was cold, and he was too lazy to go into the mountains to hunt for game, so he just kept lying there on an empty stomach, trying to convince himself that he wasn't hungry.

Xiuer didn't know the background of this young master, so she didn't ask too many questions. There was a lot of food prepared in the carriage. She didn't know the taste of the young master in front of her, so she simply took out a little of everything and even snatched a roast chicken from Xiong Qi.

She had thought this young master would only pick out two or three items to eat, but to her surprise, he devoured the food in front of him with lightning speed, even making a sucking motion with his androgynous handsome face. Finally, he gave Xiuer a lewd smile and said, "Is there anything else? You don't need to take so many things, just take a lot of any one of them."

Xiuer was taken aback and stared in disbelief at the empty food in front of her. This appetite was comparable to that of the Crown Princess when she first married into the family. She walked unsteadily to get more food.

The atmosphere inside the carriage was somewhat tense. Feng Ran was cornered by Duan Jingchuan, the scent of soap pods surrounding her nostrils. A pair of icy hands gripped the back of her neck, forcing her to raise her head and meet Duan Jingchuan's gaze.

Duan Jingchuan's voice was deep and hoarse, much like the dissatisfied hiss of a kettle with its lid tightly closed, with millions of boiling bubbles about to burst out, yet they could only boil inside, not allowing outsiders to see even a glimpse of them.

"He tastes good, he's handsome?" The rising intonation and dark pupils spoke volumes about Duan Jingchuan's danger, and with each word he spoke, the hand on the back of his neck tightened its grip.

What would you do if a normally docile puppy suddenly showed you its sharp claws?

Of course we should spoil him!

Feng Ran's eyes were red, not from sadness and impending tears, but from excitement. Duan Jingchuan looked so captivating!

Of course, this was just what she thought in her heart. On the surface, she pretended to be confused and innocently said, "Yes, she's just as good as my husband."

Seeing Feng Ran's complete lack of awareness, Duan Jingchuan was even more furious, wishing he could lock her up so she could only see him.

But looking at her extremely obedient face and clear, bright eyes, he didn't want to reveal even a trace of the darkness and filth in his heart. He could only suppress his anger and resentment.

Duan Jingchuan's face turned red with anger, but he still couldn't bring himself to do anything. He just kept his hand on Feng Ran's neck, all his emotions were frozen in his trembling fingertips.

The scene of pinning him against the wall and kissing him didn't happen as expected. Feng Ran felt that she wasn't skilled enough to drive Duan Jingchuan crazy. Why couldn't this guy lose control?

With a sudden burst of strength, Feng Ran flipped over and pinned Duan Jingchuan beneath her. A wicked smile played on her lips as she ran a strand of her hair over Duan Jingchuan's face. Duan Jingchuan involuntarily closed his eyes, his breathing becoming heavy.

Feng Ran nodded secretly. This was the kind of crazy woman she should be acting like. She wondered if her husband could learn it. She lowered her waist and spoke in a hooky voice, "Husband, why aren't you jealous? Tell me how I should punish you."

In this situation, Duan Jingchuan could no longer listen to what Feng Ran was saying. All his feelings were turning sour, and he couldn't help but want to turn the tables and take control.

Feng Ran wouldn't let Duan Jingchuan succeed. She firmly held down Duan Jingchuan's hands with her slender little hands and whispered in his ear, "Then I'll punish you... let me do whatever I want."

Those outside could not see what was happening inside the carriage; they could only guess at the situation based on the horse's erratic movements.

Everyone around wanted to stay a hundred feet away from the carriage, afraid of hearing something they shouldn't.

The young man in blue, a chicken leg dangling from his mouth, swung his leg, his slightly raised eyebrows exuding an air of wickedness. "I truly am the world's number one philanthropist. What a wonderful perk! My little lady, you must enjoy it to the fullest."

Xiuer watched with a dark face as the young man in blue ate all of their provisions for the entire day by himself, and even touched his still flat stomach with a hint of satiation, saying, "The food wasn't very tasty, so let's leave it at that for today."

One sentence nearly made Xiuer, who was busy running around, furious. If she had known this person's ways, she would have lost her temper long ago.

At first, he wasn't picky about anything, but after eating for a while, he clearly developed preferences. He only ate meat, and he wouldn't eat meat that was too old, too tough, or too fatty. He was more difficult to please than ten princesses combined.

Xiuer didn't sulk for long. Soon after, Fengran got off the carriage, her joy evident in her eyes.

The young man in blue was clearly surprised. "Young lady, have you found someone who's all show and no substance?"

These words became the background noise as Duan Jingchuan disembarked from the carriage. His steps were unsteady, his pupils were dilated, and his face was flushed. He looked as if he had just experienced something unspeakable, which was in stark contrast to Feng Ran's energetic spirit.

Although Duan Jingchuan's steps were weak, his expression was sharp. However, his bloodshot eyes made him look like an angry rabbit, posing no threat whatsoever.

The young man in blue almost fell for Duan Jingchuan's shy yet indignant glance. He thought to himself, "What a sin! No wonder this young lady was bewitched. Such beauty is truly rare."

Feng Ran didn't actually understand what the phrase "wax spearhead" meant, but she instinctively felt it wasn't a good thing, and Duan Jingchuan's reaction confirmed that.

He brandished his iron fist at the young man in blue, shouting, "You're the one with a wax head, your whole family are wax heads!"

The young man in blue didn't care about Feng Ran's tone at all. He turned to Duan Jingchuan with a regretful shake of his head and said in a mature tone, "Your young lady is not bad, but she is a bit fierce."

Before the two could react, they leaped up and lay comfortably on the cargo on the cart. "It's fate that we met. Would you two mind taking me into the city again?"

Duan Jingchuan squinted, unable to fathom his thoughts. Since he hadn't objected, no one would stop the young man in blue from doing his thing.

Seeing that no one was paying attention to the two of them, Feng Ran squatted down in front of Duan Jingchuan and asked expectantly, "Was it good just now?"

Duan Jingchuan turned his head away and ignored her.

Feng Ran moved to another spot, her eyes full of eagerness. "Have you learned how to be a crazy person yet? You come next time!"

Duan Jingchuan's face darkened, but he still ignored Feng Ran.

With his exceptional eyesight, the young man in blue clearly saw that Duan Jingchuan had a beauty mark on his eyebrow and a faint black mark on his neck, visible only at the collar.

What is this? The young man in blue was intrigued and squinted to examine it closely.

"Feng Ran... gnawed... on... the neck?" What does this mean? The young man in blue looked puzzled.

Filled with doubt, the young man in blue stared at Duan Jingchuan even more intently. Duan Jingchuan opened his palm, and on each of his ten fingers was written: "I have touched Feng Ran's fingers and I am very satisfied."

!!

"So playful!" The young man in blue was very excited, his phoenix eyes gleaming with gossip. He wished he could devour Duan Jingchuan alive and see what other interesting things were hidden under his clothes.

The blue-clad young man's guess was correct; tiny, illegible characters covered Duan Jingchuan's entire body. Heaven knows how explicit those words hidden behind his clothes were.

Feng Ran used an entire box of snail-shaped ink, completely obliterating any trace of fair skin on Duan Jingchuan's body, leaving only his exposed face relatively clean.

However, upon closer inspection, one will find that there are many small moles on that face, and those moles even have subtle shapes. It is unknown what words the person who drew it intended to use to replace these embellishments.

Feng Ran looked at the marks she had left behind with great fondness. Since she couldn't make any big moves outside, she could only poke at them with her fingers from time to time. The more she poked, the darker Duan Jingchuan's face became, and the more intense the affection in Feng Ran's eyes became. This was the first time Duan Jingchuan had ever looked angry in front of her.

The young man in blue just watched the spectacle with amusement. He rarely saw such a stubborn young man, who had a humiliated expression on his face but was unwilling to escape Feng Ran's clutches.

He then realized that he had been wrong. Nothing embarrassing or scandalous had happened in the carriage. It wasn't the young lady who had been involved, but rather the young man he thought he could have the upper hand. That was much more interesting.

Xiong Qi and Xiu'er knew Duan Jingchuan so well that they could detect even the slightest imperfection. No matter how much Duan Jingchuan tried to avoid people, he couldn't escape Xiu'er and Xiong Qi's sharp eyes.

The two were quite naive and innocent. Seeing that Duan Jingchuan's face seemed dirty, they quickly stepped forward and said, "Young Master, this servant has wrung out a handkerchief. Would you like to wash your hands?"

At this moment, Duan Jingchuan was extremely grateful for Xiu'er's thoughtfulness. He stared longingly at the handkerchief in Xiu'er's hand, while secretly glancing at Feng Ran out of the corner of his eye, as if asking if he could take it.

How understanding Feng Ran is! Duan Jingchuan wanted to wipe his face, but Feng Ran naturally... wouldn't allow it.

With a smile, she reached out and took the handkerchief from Xiuer's hand, slowly and carefully wiping her fingers, and said softly, "My husband is so thoughtful, he knew my fingers were dirty."

After carefully wiping it, she didn't forget to turn it over left and right for Duan Jingchuan to see, "Is it clean?"

Duan Jingchuan moved his lips, but finally resigned himself to his fate and lowered his head, no longer mentioning wanting to wipe his face.

The young man in blue, who was just watching the show, couldn't help but chuckle and said loudly, "Young master, I didn't expect you to be afraid of your wife."

Duan Jingchuan ignored the blue-robed young man's teasing and remained calm. "May I ask your esteemed name, young master, and how should I address you?"

The young man in blue raised an eyebrow. "This young lady and I are from the same family. I take her surname."

"So you're also surnamed Feng?" Feng Ran tilted her head; she had never met anyone with the surname Feng before.

"You're not surnamed Shi?" the young man in blue asked, somewhat surprised.

"Why should my surname be Shi?" Feng Ran asked, puzzled.

"Alright, there's really no need for that," the young man in blue said with a more serious expression, brushing off the dust that had accidentally gotten on his clothes. "My surname is Shi, Shi Fusheng. I'm childhood sweethearts with this little girl next to you. You can call me your brother-in-law."

Duan Jingchuan frowned, a hint of inquiry appearing in his dark eyes. The young man in blue, no, Shi Fusheng, remained unmoved, allowing himself to be scrutinized.

Feng Ran suddenly intervened in the exchange between the two, saying, "Hey Xiao Lan, it's not right to randomly claim relatives. I don't remember ever seeing you before."
