Chapter 107 Ayako's Memories

Kanagawa Prefectural Shohei High School.

Class 1, Grade 2.

Ayako was packing her things, preparing to leave the classroom.

At this moment, a girl walked over looking worried. She looked around and found that all the other students had left before sitting down next to Ayako. She seemed hesitant and conflicted, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.

Ayako smiled, patted the girl next to her on the shoulder, and comforted her, "Kyoko, what's wrong? Did someone bully you? Tell me, I'll go teach him a lesson!"

This is Ayako, the eldest sister! Unlike other girls, she wouldn't anxiously and concernedly ask Kyoko what's wrong, nor would she show any empathy.

Ayako comforted Kyoko with a smile, as if it were nothing serious in her eyes!

Strangely, Ayako's behavior made Kyoko even more conflicted and even more afraid to speak.

Ayako realized something was wrong. She frowned slightly and said, "Kyoko, don't be afraid. Just say what you need to say."

At the same time, Ayako grabbed Kyoko's hand, squeezed it tightly, and gave Kyoko an encouraging look.

Kyoko took a deep breath and said, "Ayako, Ryota Miyagi was discharged from the hospital today, you must have heard, right?"

Ayako smiled and said, "Yeah, I heard it from someone today, and I did hear that he was discharged from the hospital. What happened?"

Kyoko slapped her thigh hard, then looked very angry and muttered, "That Miyagi Ryota is such a bastard! He just got out of the hospital today and went to confess to a girl from the school next door."

After saying that, Kyoko glanced at Ayako with a hint of worry.

Upon hearing this, Ayako did not show any emotional fluctuation, nor did she say anything. She simply frowned more deeply, as if lost in memories.

Kyoko quickly continued, "Ayako, don't worry. The person Ryota Miyagi is going to confess to today is my good friend from junior high school. I've already told her about Ryota Miyagi, so don't worry, she'll definitely reject him harshly."

As she spoke, Kyoko reached out and grabbed Ayako's arm to show her concern.

Suddenly, Ayako snapped out of her daze.

Ayako beamed and let out a hearty laugh, "I didn't expect this guy to do something so stupid again."

Then, Ayako patted Kyoko on the shoulder and said, "Kyoko, thank you."

Although Ayako seemed perfectly fine, and even appeared quite happy, Kyoko still asked with concern, "Ayako, are you alright?"

Ayako smiled brightly and said, "Haha, I'm fine, thank you for your concern, Kyoko. Okay, school's over, you should go home too."

Kyoko laughed too, gave a thumbs up, and said, "As expected of Ayako!"

But Kyoko said angrily, "Ayako, to be honest, Ryota Miyagi is such a jerk! He's a complete scumbag! Everyone knows he's been pursuing you, Ayako, but at the same time he's been flirting with other women and confessing his feelings to them. His character is really terrible. Ayako, it's a good thing you haven't said yes to him. He doesn't deserve you!"

Ayako waved her hand and said, "Actually, it's not what you think. I know what's going on with that guy. Okay, Kyoko, thank you for your concern today. You should go home now."

Seeing that the eldest sister, Ayako, was able to face the matter so calmly, Kyoko left with peace of mind.

However, after Kyoko left, Ayako sat back down on the stool.

Ayako's left arm was supporting her right arm, and her right hand was touching her right ear.

Ayako wore a very beautiful earring on her right ear.

Strangely, her left ear was completely empty; there was nothing there.

Shouldn't a normal girl wear one earring on each side?

Ayako gently stroked the earring on her right ear, her eyes looking out the window. Outside, she could see a patch of green trees, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves. But at that moment, Ayako felt as if she were looking at a vast ocean, and she could hear the sound of waves crashing against the shore.

She saw a little boy who had built a secret base in a cave on the rocks by the sea.

The secret hideout was filled with all sorts of things boys like: basketballs, comics, fishing rods, buckets, sticks, chairs, and some snacks...

A light drizzle seemed to be falling from the sky. The little boy sat inside the secret base, hugging his knees, quietly watching the sea.

He seemed to be waiting for someone, or perhaps he was simply enjoying the feeling of being alone.

In short, it's clear that the secret base brought the little boy a lot of joy.

This scene brought a smile to Ayako's face, who was in the classroom at the time, and she couldn't help but say, "That guy!"

Immediately afterwards, a little girl appeared in Ayako's vision.

The little girl looked very sad. She was clutching a small gift box in her hand. She ran to the beach and threw the box into the sea. Tears streaming down her face, she yelled, "Ah!!! Get out!!! You're all bad people! I'll never trust you again!"

The little girl was positioned directly in front of the little boy's secret base, and the little boy happened to see her throwing things.

The little boy dashed out of the secret base and plunged into the sea.

This scene really startled the little girl!

The little girl couldn't understand what had just happened. Why did someone suddenly appear, and why did that person suddenly jump into the sea? Did he jump into the sea...?

At the same time, the little girl also discovered the little boy's secret hideout. Because she was very scared, she instinctively hid in the little boy's secret hideout, sat in the corner, and hugged her legs tightly, just like the little boy had done earlier.

Not long after, the little boy who jumped into the sea actually came ashore!

To the little girl's astonishment, the little boy suddenly held something in his hand—the gift box she had thrown into the sea. He said angrily, "Hey! You can't just throw things into the sea! Here, take it. If you want to throw something, go somewhere else, but not here!"

The little girl was initially shocked by the little boy's miraculous return from the dead, but when she saw what the little boy was holding and heard his words, her attitude changed completely.

Suddenly, the little girl transformed into a furious little lion, mercilessly scratching at the little boy's face with both hands!

This sudden scene startled the little boy, but he wasn't intimidated at all and threw his fist at the boy!

There's no set pattern to children's fights, but the little boy was clearly stronger, and he punched the little girl in the face.

The little girl's nose started bleeding instantly.

The little girl wasn't going to back down either; she immediately bit the little boy's arm, making him scream in pain.

That's how it went, you slap me, I slap you; you punch me, I bite you.

In the end, both of them had bruises on their faces.

Exhausted, the two collapsed onto the ground, yet stubbornly refused to admit defeat.

It seemed like things were spiraling out of control, but the two of them inexplicably started chatting and each told their own story.

What deep-seated grievances could a child possibly have?

The little boy built his own secret base here simply because he was playful. He subconsciously believed that he was the master of this place, and his rule was that no one was allowed to throw things into the sea.

He couldn't stand seeing the little girl "running wild" on his territory. But he was a reasonable "lord," so he jumped into the sea himself, retrieved the item, and generously handed it to the little girl, giving her face.

He never expected that he, a very reasonable "lord," would encounter a completely unreasonable "female bandit"!

The little girl wanted more love from her parents. Her parents had promised to take her out to play, but because they were too busy with work, they never did. In a fit of anger, the little girl grabbed the gift box her father had given to her mother and threw it into the sea to express her anger and retaliate against her untrustworthy parents.

When she saw that the little boy had picked up the things she had used to retaliate against her parents, she was furious!

What? You think my parents sent you to go against me?

That's why the two of them ended up fighting.

However, after the little boy and girl cleared up the situation, they made up immediately and became friends.

The two then opened the gift box and found a pair of earrings inside.

The little boy said, "These earrings are very pretty. Your mother will be very sad if you throw them away."

The little girl stubbornly said, "I don't care! They're the ones who broke their promises and haven't kept what they said."

At that moment, several voices rang out from the beach.

The voices included those of both the little boy's and the little girl's parents.

The little boy hurriedly said, "Quick! Get out of here! My mom and dad can't find out about my secret hideout."

The little girl looked at the gift box in her hand and said irritably, "No! My mom and dad can't find out that I have this gift box."

The little boy snatched the gift box, took out the earrings inside, and stuffed the gift box into a small box in his secret hideout. Then he handed the earrings to the little girl, saying, "Here, hide them well. When you get home, you can secretly put these earrings in your mother's jewelry box, and everything will be fine."

The little girl was clearly pleased with the little boy's actions, and she thought to herself that the person in front of her was amazing!

To the little boy's surprise, the little girl took out one of her earrings and handed it to him, saying, "Here, this is for you!"

The little boy said in surprise, "Give it to me? But I'm a boy! Boys can't wear earrings! If my mom finds out, she'll kill me! No way!"

This is a matter of principle; the little boy must never do this!

Then, the little boy added with concern, "And your mother will definitely scold you when she finds out you're missing an earring."

The little girl's eyes lit up, and she said, "Then go back and find a rope to string this earring together and wear it as a necklace, okay? As for my mother, you don't need to worry about her, I'll explain everything to her!"

The little boy was still hesitating, unsure whether he should accept the gift.

The little girl pretended to be angry and said, "Are we still friends? If we are, then accept my gift. It's a testament to our friendship!"

"Huh? This..." The little boy hesitated, and didn't accept the earring for a long time.

Suddenly, the little girl urged anxiously, "Hurry up and take it! Your parents are about to find this place, we have to get out of here quickly! Do you want them to discover this secret base?"

The little boy gritted his teeth and grabbed the earring.

Both sets of parents found their children as they had hoped. However, they did not scold the children, but simply told them never to come to the beach when it was about to rain heavily.

The two children even asked for each other's contact information in front of their parents; of course, it was the little girl who was in charge of this.

Not long after, the little girl sent the little boy a photo in which she was wearing a pretty earring on her right ear.

Clearly, the little girl had explained the earring incident to her parents, and judging from her sweet smile in the photo, she seemed very happy after that day, probably because she had made a good friend.

...

In the classroom, Ayako was still gently touching the earring on her right ear, but her eyes were unknowingly moist.

She murmured to herself, "Liangtian, I just hope you can focus on playing basketball first. Only after you make it to the national tournament and achieve excellent results will I consider dating you. Why can't you understand my feelings?"

Ayako gently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes. "How can I tell you something like this? If I did, with your impatient nature, wouldn't you be clinging to me every day? I know you too well."

At this moment, Ayako recalled the time when she first came to Xiangbei to study.

That day, the first-year students enrolled. Ayako was already in the classroom early, while Ryota Miyagi was late. Ayako recognized Ryota Miyagi at a glance!

When the clueless Ryota Miyagi first saw Ayako, all he thought was, "Wow! This girl is so beautiful! She's my type! I have to get her!"

Later, Ryota Miyagi belatedly realized that the girl he was now pursuing was actually the same little girl from back then.

At that moment, Ryota Miyagi felt as if he owned the whole world!

He felt that all of this must have been arranged by God, it was fate!

But great joy is followed by great sorrow!

Unexpectedly, Ayako initially pretended not to know him, and later, although she indirectly admitted that she knew him, she remained unmoved by his fervent advances, as if she had been keeping him hanging on.

Ayako's ambiguous response to Ryota Miyagi made him very upset, to the point that he thought Ayako might not like him at all. So he started trying to confess to other girls, whether to provoke Ayako or because he really wanted to give up on her.

Thinking of this, Ayako said with exasperation, "All you ever do is do stupid things! After you get rejected, you'll definitely find a secluded place to cry your eyes out. You're so useless!"

Ayako instinctively pulled out the paper fan!

With a "smack"!

Ayako's face hardened, and she slammed her paper fan onto the table!

It seemed that the table in front of him was Miyagi Ryota.

But the next moment, Ayako's body went limp, and she sat back down on the stool, murmuring, "Was I too harsh on you? Should I be a little gentler with you?"
