Chapter 20 Chasing

Bo Junyi's heart skipped a beat. "Zhou Huaixu, what nonsense are you talking about?"

"No, you said you would never have a girlfriend or get married—"

"That was in the past!" Bo Junyi said coldly.

"Do you really have a girlfriend?" Zhou Huaixu persisted.

Li Susu subconsciously lowered her eyes, and her heartbeat accelerated unconsciously.

The next second, the man's cold and magnetic voice was heard, "Chasing."

"Are you planning on getting married?"

Bo Junyi's gaze lingered on Li Susu for a moment, and he said "hmm" lightly.

Hearing the sound, Li Susu's eyes turned red.

It turns out that he already has someone he likes.

Therefore, even though he had two babies, he was unwilling to compromise and marry her under the pressure of the old lady.

She knew very well in her heart that she was not worthy of him, but she still felt a little uncomfortable because of her lack of ambition.

Perhaps because the restaurant was too noisy, Bo Junyi gestured to her and got up to go outside to answer the phone.

Li Susu was a little hungry just now, but now she suddenly lost her appetite.

Bo Junyi didn't eat much, and there was still a lot of food left on the table. Li Susu asked the waiter for a few take-out boxes and packed up the remaining breakfast one by one.

Because she was thinking about something, she didn't notice that the man had returned and was standing across the table, staring at her silently.

When she looked up and met his gaze, Li Susu looked embarrassed. After a moment's hesitation, she smiled and said, "It would be a shame to throw it away. I can heat it up and eat it tonight."

Bo Junyi didn't say anything. He walked over and took the takeaway box from her hand, "Let's go."

Li Susu pursed her lips and didn't move. "How about I wait for you here? When you come out later, bring my bag with you. My student ID and ID are in it."

Bo Junyi thought she might be afraid of running into her cousin, so he didn't force her. He worriedly told her, "Don't run around. Call me if you have any questions."

Li Susu smiled and nodded, "Don't worry, Mr. Bo."

-

Bo Junyi took a shower before going to the apartment opposite.

When I opened the door of the apartment, I smelled a faint aroma of coffee.

The curtains in the living room were half open, and the morning light shone through the gauze curtains onto the wooden floor, casting a soft halo.

At this time, Zhou Huaixu was sitting at the dining table, holding a cup of steaming coffee in his hand, and in front of him was a hearty Chinese breakfast.

His hair was a little messy, his face was a little pale, and there was a faint blue-gray color under his eyes. It was obvious that he did not sleep well last night.

Hearing the noise, he looked up at Bo Junyi who was walking in, and his eyes fell on the several take-out boxes in his right hand.

"Good morning." Bo Junyi ignored his ambiguous gaze, greeted him softly, and walked to the dining table and sat down.

Zhou Huaixu finally seemed to come to his senses and uttered a soft "tsk," "Brother, when did you become so good at managing the household?"

He knew his cousin very well. He was always particular about food and never ate food from breakfast shops, let alone packed it up to take home.

"The breakfast here is good, you can try it." Bo Junyi opened the box and pushed it directly in front of him.

Zhou Huaixu blinked. "Brother, tell me the truth, has something gone wrong at the company recently? Why are you suddenly so frugal?"

Bo Junyi gave him a cold look and said, "You little bastard, can you please hope for me?"

"Of course I hope you're doing well. I'm not worried that if your company suffers losses, you'll definitely lose your girlfriend!"

"Take care of yourself first." Bo Junyi said indifferently, "How much did you drink last night when you were so drunk?"

Zhou Huaixu immediately felt guilty. He lowered his head, picked up a shrimp dumpling with a fork and stuffed it into his mouth. He said in a muffled voice, "One pound of white."

"You don't know how much you can drink, so don't do it again."

Bo Junyi gave him a cold look and stood up to leave.

After exercising, he was all sticky and sweaty, which made him feel uncomfortable. He had to finish his shower quickly to avoid making others wait anxiously downstairs.

Zhou Huaixu was worried that he would tell his mother, so he obediently said "hmm".

When Bo Junyi reached the door, he stopped and looked back at Zhou Huaixu, "Also, don't force relationships. Let go when it's time to let go."

Thinking of being rejected, Zhou Huaixu's expression darkened for a moment, "I understand."

After saying that, he immediately put on a relaxed expression and said, "Brother, give me a ride to the company later."

Bo Junyi refused flatly, "It's not on our way. Take a taxi yourself, or contact a driver to take you there."

"Brother, why don't you go to the company? You can't neglect your work just to have a relationship—"

He was answered by the sound of a door slamming shut.

Bo Junyi returned to the apartment across the street, took a shower, dried his hair, and went to the locker room.

He stood in front of the closet, his eyes scanning the rows of neatly hung clothes, and for the first time he was a little confused about what to wear.

How to dress to look younger.

Although he is only eight years older than her, he is taking her to the hospital for a prenatal check-up after all, and it is not good to have such a big age difference.

Moreover, because she was dressed like a high school student, it was very likely that people would think that he was targeting a minor.

Thinking of this, he finally chose a pink shirt that he had never worn before, and paired it with a simple pair of black trousers. He didn't style his hair, but let it hang naturally after being blown dry. He looked more than five years younger than usual.

After tidying himself up, Bo Junyi came to the bedroom where Li Susu was. His eyes fell on the slightly old blue canvas bag at the head of her bed. The color of the bag had faded beyond recognition, and the edges and corners were badly worn.

He picked up the bag and casually glanced at the clothes she had hanging in the closet. The coat and pants were fine, except for the set of long-sleeved shirt and long-pants that had been washed out. The cuffs of the shirt were loose, and the knees of the long-pants that were hanging on the side were almost worn transparent, with a few tiny holes faintly visible on the edges.
