"That note you gave me was pretty casual, wasn't it?"
Li Susu suddenly felt guilty, her eyes evasive, "I, I didn't mean to take advantage of you."
As soon as the words fell, a low laugh from the man came to his ears, "I am yours, so why can't you take advantage of me?"
Li Susu suddenly thought of that night in the hotel and was so shocked that she was speechless.
Bo Junyi found it a bit funny, a hint of triumph flashed in his eyes. He gently grasped her wrist and said, "You said it was too casual just now. Do you want to do it formally?"
His lips stopped just inches away from hers, his hot breath entangled with hers.
Li Susu held her breath and saw the dark fire dancing in his eyes. She suddenly realized that she had said something she shouldn't have said.
"No, that's not necessary..." She turned her face away in panic, but he pinched her chin and turned her back.
"It's too late." Bo Junyi chuckled and lowered his head to kiss the red lips that he had been thinking about for a long time.
The kiss was fierce, as if it wanted to pour into it all the longing and endurance of the past few months.
It wasn't until Li Susu softly hit his shoulder that he pulled away reluctantly, his fingertips brushing across her glistening lips. "Now, is it official enough?"
His low and hoarse voice rang in her ears, with a bit of laziness after being satisfied, but it made the blush on Li Susu's ears spread all the way to her collarbone.
Her heart was beating like a drum, and she turned her face away in panic, but his slender fingers gently pinched her chin and turned her back.
Her long eyelashes trembled like the wings of a frightened butterfly, and her fingers unconsciously clenched the leather seat beneath her, her knuckles turning slightly white.
"What are you hiding from?" Bo Junyi said with a playful smile in his eyes, and rubbed his thumb over her red lips. "Wasn't that quite bold in the hotel that night? Huh?"
Li Susu's breathing stopped, and she felt that the place where his fingertips touched was hot as if it was burned by fire.
She opened her mouth but couldn't utter a complete syllable and could only glare at him in embarrassment.
Little did she know that the redness at the corners of her eyes actually made the man's gaze darker.
The carriage was eerily quiet, with only the faint sound of the wind and the mingling of each other's breathing.
Li Susu could even hear her own heartbeat, which was so strong that it hurt her eardrums.
Bo Junyi suddenly chuckled and released his grip on her, "You've done more intimate things, yet you're still so shy."
He slowly helped her fasten her loose seat belt, his fingertips brushing her belly. "What if we get married in the future?"
These suggestive words made Li Susu blush so much that her face bled. She gently slapped her hand away and said, "Mr. Bo, you, you..."
"Me what?"
"You, please respect yourself..." Li Susu stammered, "We've only known each other for two days. Even if we choose to be together for the sake of the baby, it's still too fast. Please give me some time to adapt... okay?"
"I think it was a bit fast, but I really couldn't help myself just now." The man started the car leisurely. He caught a glimpse of her angry face out of the corner of his eye, and a smile of success appeared at the corner of his lips.
He thought she was a pushover, but it turned out she had a bit of a temper.
She seems more likeable in her true self.
Li Susu felt like she was dreaming. She tilted her head and pressed her hot cheek against the cold car window, secretly watching his profile as he concentrated on driving in the reflection of the glass.
The sunlight shone through the shadows of the trees and fell on his tall nose, making the smile that had not yet faded particularly clear.
Thinking of the sudden kiss just now, Li Susu's heart trembled slightly and her ears turned red again.
No one spoke on the way to the hospital, and the car was filled with a heart-pounding silence.
Li Susu turned her face toward the car window, watching the buildings passing by. After an unknown amount of time, she fell into a drowsy sleep.
When she woke up, the car was already parked in the exclusive parking space in the hospital parking lot.
She rubbed her eyes and turned to look. Bo Junyi was looking down at the documents on the tablet. The cold white light from the screen reflected on his angular profile, outlining a sharp arc.
As if he noticed her movement, he paused and looked up at her, "Awake?"
"Why didn't you call me?" Her voice was still soft and sweet as if she had just woken up, and she subconsciously raised her hand to tidy up her hair which was a little messy from sleeping.
Bo Junyi locked his tablet and reached out to brush away a strand of hair stuck to her face. "I wanted you to sleep a little longer. You didn't sleep well last night."
This is not a question, it is a statement.
Li Susu felt a burning sensation in her ears, remembering that she had tossed and turned in bed last night because he hadn't come back.
She hurriedly avoided his overly focused gaze and lowered her head to unbuckle her seat belt, but because she was so flustered, she failed to unlock the buckle several times.
With a "click", Bo Junyi leaned over and easily unfastened the seat belt with his slender fingers.
The distance between them suddenly shortened, and Li Susu subconsciously dodged backwards.
Bo Junyi curled his lips slightly, "Let's go."
He got out of the car first and walked around to the passenger seat to open the door for her.
The cold air from the hospital corridor hit Li Susu in the face, and she unconsciously shrank her shoulders.
At this moment, a large hand with distinct joints suddenly stretched out in front of her.
Bo Junyi kept his hand outstretched, looking at her calmly.
The sunlight cast fine shadows between his deep brows, and the hand hanging in the air carried an irresistible meaning.
Li Susu's thoughts were in a mess. She finally bit her lip and gently placed her hand on it.
The next second, her entire hand was wrapped in warmth.
Bo Junyi closed his fingers, completely holding her slightly cold fingertips in his palm, and led her towards the obstetrics and gynecology clinic.
He walked very slowly, as if he was deliberately taking care of her.
Li Susu felt warm in her heart, and her previous helplessness also disappeared a lot.
Half an hour later, the prenatal examination results came out. The doctor took the pregnancy test report, glanced at it, and said to Bo Junyi with a smile: "Mr. Bo, Miss Li is fine, and the placenta is in a good position."
Li Susu was stunned for a moment, "No placenta previa?"
The female doctor smiled and shook her head, "Everything is normal."
Li Susu's tense shoulders finally relaxed because it meant she could return to school.
However, when she met Bo Junyi's deep gaze, she suddenly thought of something and her fingers unconsciously clenched the pregnancy test form.
When I walked out of the clinic, the sunlight from the corridor came in through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Li Susu suddenly stopped and said in a voice so soft that it was almost inaudible: "Mr. Bo..."
She took a deep breath and said, "I really didn't lie to you. Yesterday the doctor said that my placenta was low and I couldn't have surgery... I didn't mean to use the child..."
Before she finished speaking, Bo Junyi interrupted her, "Li Susu, I have never doubted you."
His slender fingers gently lifted her chin, forcing her to look him in the eye. "When I was twenty, I was in a serious car accident. The doctor concluded that I was completely infertile, and I never doubted it. These two children are the best gifts God has given me, so please don't say such things again."
