Li Susu didn't grasp the deeper meaning behind Bo Junyi's words and shook her head hastily, "I'm not dissatisfied."
"That's good." A faint curve appeared at the corner of Bo Junyi's mouth.
He stopped teasing her and asked softly, "Are you feeling sick in your stomach?"
Li Susu shook her head gently, her long eyelashes trembling slightly, "I feel much better now."
Bo Junyi moved closer and smelled the faint scent of alcohol emanating from her body. An idea occurred to him: "Do you want me to give you a bath?"
As soon as these words came out, Li Susu sobered up a bit and quickly refused: "No, no, I can do it myself."
Bo Junyi was actually very worried about her taking a bath by herself, but seeing her fearful expression, he finally smiled and nodded.
He turned back to the bedroom, rummaged through the closet and found a men's nightgown, then handed it to her. "The pajamas are mine, they haven't been touched much, so you can wear them for now."
Li Susu's ears turned red and her expression was a little hesitant.
Bo Junyi smiled and raised an eyebrow, "Why, do you dislike me?"
Li Susu shook her head like a rattle, "No, I'm just worried that you might have mysophobia—"
"What are you thinking about, little brain! We are going to be husband and wife in the future——"
When Li Susu heard this, her face immediately turned red. She quickly took the pajamas and went into the bathroom.
Bo Junyi reminded him worriedly: "Slow down, if you need anything, call me anytime."
Li Susu closed the door, poked her head out from the crack, smiled and waved at him, "Go to the bedroom first."
"good."
After locking the door, Li Susu realized belatedly that these words were a bit ambiguous.
She patted her hot cheeks, took a deep breath, and thought, forget it, never mind.
The bath took a long time, and halfway through, Bo Junyi almost couldn't help but go over and knock on the door.
Finally, the sound of footsteps came from the living room.
About two minutes later, the half-closed bedroom door was gently pushed open.
Bo Junyi looked up, his eyes deepening a little.
Li Susu walked in wrapped in a bathrobe that was so large that it almost covered her entire body.
Her long, fluffy and smooth hair was casually draped over her shoulders, with a few strands of hair sticking to her small face, which was slightly red from the hot water, making her skin look even whiter than snow.
The calves exposed outside the bathrobe were straight and white, and the slender ankles were so thin that they could be held in one hand.
Li Susu felt a little uncomfortable being stared at, and her gaze seemed to fall on Bo Junyi.
Under the warm yellow light, the man was wearing loose pajamas and leaning leisurely against the head of the bed. When he saw her come in, he raised his eyes and smiled slightly.
Li Susu smiled mechanically and moved her eyes to the bed. One side was neatly arranged, obviously reserved for her.
Not knowing what she was thinking about, she subconsciously clutched the edge of her bathrobe with her fingers, her heart beating like a rabbit.
Bo Junyi seemed to see her embarrassment, with a gentle smile on his face. He raised his hand and gently patted the empty seat beside him, his voice low and gentle: "Come here."
Li Susu bit her lower lip lightly, feeling her heart beating uncontrollably and violently, as if it was about to burst through her chest.
Her mind was in a mess. After hesitating for a long time, she took a deep breath and mustered up the courage to speak: "Bo, Bo Junyi, can I sleep next door?"
As soon as she said this, she stared at Bo Junyi nervously, her fingers tugging at the corner of her clothes anxiously.
When Bo Junyi heard this, his eyes darkened. After a moment, he smiled and said, "Don't worry, I won't touch you. The situation is special now. Sleeping together is for the safety of you and the baby."
Li Susu's cheeks were burning hot, and she was too embarrassed to refuse, so she could only tiptoe onto the bed and sit down next to Bo Junyi.
His hands were folded awkwardly on his legs, and he even breathed softly.
Seeing her like this, Bo Junyi couldn't help but find it a little funny.
After a moment of silence, he stretched out his long arm and naturally put his arm around her shoulders, "Susu, I have something important to do."
Li Susu's expression changed, and her heart beat so fast that it seemed to burst out of her chest. "What, what happened?"
Bo Junyi chuckled, threw back the quilt and got out of bed.
Li Susu looked at him suspiciously and asked softly, "Where are you going?"
Bo Junyi did not answer, but with a gentle smile on his lips, he slowly reached into his pocket with his slender fingers and took out a ring.
In the quiet room, the air seemed to freeze, and Bo Junyi knelt on one knee in front of Li Susu without any warning.
The sudden action made Li Susu's mind go blank in an instant.
She met Bo Junyi's fiery and determined gaze, and her heart beat like a drum.
"Susu, although our acquaintance was brief, I have already decided that you will be my lifelong companion. In the future, I want to witness your baby's birth, their first steps in life, and hear them call me mom and dad for the first time.
Susu, will you wear this ring and marry me?"
Li Susu opened her mouth, but found that her throat seemed to be blocked and she couldn't say a word.
Her nose felt sore and tears welled up in her eyes.
Her father's threatening words were still echoing in her ears, and the figures of Shen Qingyao and Bo Siyu were lingering in her mind... She was worried that she would bring trouble to him.
After pondering for a moment, reason finally prevailed.
Li Susu hesitated and said, "I...I think we are moving too fast. How about we spend some more time together before making a decision?"
Bo Junyi raised his head slightly, locked his eyes with hers, and asked softly, "Susu, don't you want to stay with the baby all the time?"
Hearing this, Li Susu's tears could no longer be controlled and burst out. She nodded gently and said in an almost inaudible voice, "Yes."
