Bo Junyi suddenly reached out and held her hand hanging under the dining table, squeezing it gently as if to comfort her.
"Mianmian is right." His voice was low and gentle. "From now on, you can rely on me for everything, no matter how big or small. Don't be embarrassed."
Li Susu nodded, her heart felt like it was soaked in a honey pot, and the sweetness quietly melted away.
Half an hour after lunch, Li Susu took Mianmian back to the bedroom for a nap.
Before she felt sleepy again, Li Susu lowered her voice and asked, "Did you have fun playing with Aunt Qingyao today?"
"Just barely enough!" Mianmian pouted. "Auntie Qingyao's high heels were taller than a Christmas tree, and she almost fell on her butt. Thanks to Uncle Jilin's help, otherwise there's no way we could have won back a big hen."
Li Susu smiled, her fingertips stroking the corner of the quilt, and pretended to ask casually: "Did Mianmian accidentally let slip...that I live with my uncle?"
"I'm not that stupid!" Mianmian suddenly stood up, her grape-like eyes sparkling. "Aunt Qingyao always buys me ice cream cones and says she wants to be my aunt. But I still like you."
She came closer and winked playfully, "Most importantly, uncle likes you too!"
Li Susu chuckled softly and scratched the little girl's red nose with her fingertips: "Mianmian is great."
"Of course!" Mianmian raised her head proudly. "My uncle and grandma taught me to hold on to the things I love. Let me tell you in secret, I actually love my uncle dearly. He drives a super cool sports car, and he can make math problems sound as interesting as storybooks. On weekends, he even tells me bedtime stories to put me to sleep..."
"Then can sister tell you a story too?" Li Susu hugged the person in her arms, and the scent of milk lingered on her nose.
"It's my aunt!" Mianmian nuzzled her neck, sleepiness already creeping into her eyelids. "From now on, we'll be a happy and cheerful family. It's great..."
Before he finished speaking, a soft snoring sound was heard.
Li Susu looked at the sleeping little face in her arms, and gradually felt sleepy, and fell asleep unknowingly.
The door opened slightly, and Bo Junyi's eyes were instantly fixed on the scene on the bed.
Li Susu turned sideways and hugged the sleeping Mianmian.
The little girl curled up in her arms like a kitten, her chubby little hands tugging at the corner of her clothes.
He leaned against the door frame, tenderness gradually spread between his eyebrows, and the curve of his mouth deepened.
At four o'clock in the afternoon, when the sun was not so strong, Bo Junyi took Li Susu and Mianmian out to the amusement park.
The amusement park is extremely lively on weekends. The Ferris wheel's colorful cars rotate slowly, casting colorful spots of light on the lawn.
Children ran holding balloons, their laughter intertwined with the sound of carousel bells, and the roar of roller coasters cut through the sky.
Li Susu was terrified.
Mianmian raised her little face and said seriously, "Aunt, you can't play now. It's very dangerous."
Li Susu nodded seriously, "When Mianmian grows up, she can play with her aunt, okay?"
Mianmian nodded without hesitation, then changed the subject and pointed to the carousel not far away and asked, "Aunt, can I ride the carousel?"
Li Susu smiled, "Of course, let's go, Auntie will take pictures for Mianmian."
When he heard her call herself aunt, the corners of Bo Junyi's lips curled up unconsciously.
As dusk deepens, colorful lights light up one after another, and the carousel slowly turns in the light and shadow.
Bo Junyi bent down and carried Mianmian onto the white horse carved with vine patterns.
Li Susu stood outside the fence, her camera lens following the rotating figure. In the viewfinder, the silhouettes of two people, one large and one small, were gently outlined by the warm yellow light.
When the wooden horse turned to the front for the second time, Bo Junyi habitually looked towards the familiar position.
However, the familiar figure was gone.
He suddenly grabbed the handrail of the wooden horse, and the rotating light and shadow suddenly became dazzling.
Mianmian's panicked voice rang in my ears: "Uncle, why did my aunt suddenly disappear?"
