Li Susu was shocked, "Bo Junyi? You, what are you..."
The man fastened the window bolt with his backhand, the hem of his windbreaker still damp with the night dew.
He came over, pinched her cheek, and sat down beside her bed.
"Your window is too unsafe. Don't come back here alone again."
Li Susu didn't comment and quickly changed the subject, "Are you cold?"
“A little.”
As he spoke, Bo Junyi had already taken off his windbreaker.
"You don't need to take off your pants, right?" he asked seriously.
Li Susu nodded repeatedly.
She really wanted to give him half of the quilt, but she was still bleeding and was afraid that he would find out, so she found it difficult to speak.
"The bed is too small for me to sleep on. How about you sleep on the bed and I sleep on the sofa—"
Bo Junyi didn't respond, but bent down to take off his leather shoes and lifted the corner of the quilt with a quick movement.
The mattress sank under his weight, and the smell of cedar mixed with tobacco enveloped the entire quilt.
"The sofa is too hard." He turned sideways and held her in his arms, rubbing his chin against the top of her head. "It's nice to squeeze in."
Li Susu was so tight in his embrace that she couldn't move. Her ears felt hot. "Keep your voice down! My mom is a light sleeper..."
"I'm not doing anything bad." Bo Junyi deliberately dragged out the last word, his bony fingers gently combing through her long hair. "I just want to hug you."
These words made her heart skip a beat.
She rested her head on his warm chest, listening to the steady and strong heartbeat, and her heart felt warm.
Bo Junyi placed his palm on her abdomen through her pajamas, gently stroking it with his fingertips.
Li Susu's body stiffened. She grabbed the hand and pushed it aside: "Stop it, it's itchy."
Bo Junyi obediently withdrew his hand, lowered his head and kissed the corner of her lips: "Does the wound still hurt?"
Li Susu shook her head, feeling the warmth of his palm coming through her back.
The two chatted about this and that, and soon, the man's steady breathing could be heard. Li Susu nestled in his arms and also drifted off to sleep.
But after sleeping for less than an hour, Li Susu habitually wanted to go to the bathroom. She got up quietly for fear of waking up Bo Junyi.
"Where are you going?"
Bo Junyi had already opened his eyes and gently pulled her arm, with a hint of coquettishness in his tone.
"Toilet, you go to sleep first." Li Susu gently touched his face.
"Would you like me to accompany you?"
"No, it's very close. I'll be right back."
"Okay, be safe."
"Um."
Li Susu closed the door and went out. Bo Junyi wrapped himself in a quilt and listened to the noise outside.
"Squeak--" the sharp cry of a mouse pierced the silence.
Bo Junyi's eyebrows jumped and he turned over and sat up.
Under the light, a gray-haired mouse was standing and gnawing at the corner of the sofa, its whiskers trembling with the movement.
Bo Junyi gently lifted the quilt and prepared to get out of bed.
Hearing the sound, the mouse suddenly turned its head and looked at him with its black bean-like eyes.
Bo Junyi bent down and picked up a slipper to fight the mouse, but the little thing ran around along the wall.
He picked up his slippers and was about to chase after it, but saw the gray shadow quickly jump onto the bed.
Bo Junyi was speechless.
I reflexively jumped onto the bed, trying to chase the mouse off.
He lunged left and kicked right, and the bed frame made a creaking sound as it shook violently.
The mouse was finally driven away, but with a creaking sound, the bed board suddenly collapsed.
When Li Susu came back, she saw Bo Junyi kneeling on one knee on the ground, holding a broken bed leg in his hand, with a speechless expression on his face.
"How did it happen?" Li Susu asked in surprise.
"I was a bit rough catching a mouse just now." Bo Junyi touched his nose, looking embarrassed. "This bed is too fragile."
"Did you fall?"
Besides feeling embarrassed, Li Susu was more worried about whether he was injured.
"No, it's a good thing you're not here." Bo Junyi reached out to pull her, and suddenly there was a "creak" and the entire bed frame fell apart completely.
At this moment, the half-closed door was pushed open from the outside.
Both of them were startled and looked over. Zhou Caiying was standing stiffly in front of the half-open door frame, her fingertips still hanging on the door handle.
Perhaps startled by the scene in the room, she subconsciously took a half step back, her lips uncontrollably opening into a circle.
But when he saw the young man in front of him, who was nearly 1.9 meters tall, handsome, and full of aura, he swallowed the word "beast" that was on the tip of his tongue.
Not only was the room a mess, but Zhou Caiying also saw the man pulling Li Susu's hand, and her lips trembled with anger.
He grabbed the broom standing behind the door and screamed at the top of his lungs.
"Alright! You bitch, you're meeting a man in the middle of the night! The bed is broken! Do you still have any shame?"
Zhou Caiying rushed over like crazy with a broom in hand.
Before Li Susu could react, Bo Junyi had already pulled her behind him and hit her hard on the back.
The muffled sound was mixed with a suppressed "hissing" sound.
When Li Susu saw this, she felt a sudden pain in her heart.
It was clearly Bo Junyi who was beaten, but she felt it was even more painful than if she were the one being beaten herself.
It turns out that the feeling of truly liking someone is heartache.
She had never disobeyed her mother before, but at this moment she could not suppress the anger in her heart no matter what.
Before Bo Junyi could react, the next second, Li Susu rushed forward, pushed Zhou Caiying away with her delicate arms, snatched the broom from her hand, and threw it to the ground.
"This is outrageous! How dare you push me!" Zhou Caiying staggered to her feet, her cloudy eyes almost popping out of their sockets.
Li Susu stood in front of Bo Junyi with red eyes, her voice trembling with anger.
"It's okay if you hit me, but if you dare to touch my boyfriend, I will fight you!"
