"Susu, take it."
Grandma lowered her voice and stuffed the package into her palm with her hands covered with age spots. "Grandma knows it's not easy for you. Don't tell anyone else."
Li Susu was stunned and opened her handkerchief. Inside was a stack of crumpled change, including fifty-dollar notes, ten-yuan notes, and even a few coins.
It adds up to several hundred yuan.
Her eyes instantly turned red, "Grandma, I don't want it, you keep it for buying delicious food."
"Silly child," Grandma patted her hand gently, "Grandma has everything she needs at home. Take this and buy some nutritional supplements to replenish your body."
As she spoke, grandma glanced towards the door warily and urged, "Put it away quickly, don't let anyone see it."
Li Susu's nose felt sore. She carefully rewrapped the money and put it in her pocket, then held her grandmother's hand tightly. "Thank you, grandma."
Grandma smiled with relief, her cloudy eyes full of love, and she gently patted the back of her hand, "Grandma is old and useless, and can't help you much, so don't think it's too little."
Li Susu shook her head, her eyes red. "Grandma, you have to take care of yourself too. I'll come back to see you soon."
"Okay, I feel much better now that I see you," Grandma said, lowering her voice. "But there's one thing you have to listen to. Don't live with a boy easily, or you'll be the one who suffers in the end."
A hint of guilt flashed across Li Susu's eyes. "I know, grandma, don't worry."
Grandma smiled with satisfaction, reached out and picked up a banana, peeled it and handed it to Li Susu.
"You've lost weight, eat more."
"Um."
Li Susu took it with a smile, and just as she took a small bite, her stomach suddenly churned.
She covered her mouth suddenly and rushed to the bathroom in the ward.
When Bo Junyi pushed the door open, he heard intermittent retching sounds coming from inside.
