Chapter 92 Let Go, She Deserves a Better Life

This sentence made Li Susu's eyes red again. She nestled in his arms and whispered, "You're so good to me, I always feel like I'm dreaming... I'm afraid that when I wake up, you won't want me anymore."

Bo Junyi chuckled softly, his slender fingers already unlocking her phone: "Then record it as evidence."

With a "ding" sound, the recording function lit up. He cleared his throat and said in a low and solemn voice: "Bo Junyi, I will always be with Li Susu in this life and will live together until old age. If you ever regret it-"

"Don't say that!" Li Susu hurriedly covered his mouth, her fingertips touching his warm lips, "I believe you..."

The neon lights outside the car window shone through the car window, casting the overlapping shadows of the two people on the windshield.

On the way back, we passed by the hospital.

Bo Junyi was worried about her physical condition and gently reminded Li Susu to go to the hospital for a check-up first.

Li Susu's eyelashes trembled, and her voice was soft and coquettish: "Hubby, I'm so tired, can we go home first?"

Bo Junyi's Adam's apple rolled, and he finally turned the car around silently.

"I'll come with you tomorrow morning."

"Um."

When they got home, Li Susu had already fallen asleep. Bo Junyi got out of the car, walked around to the passenger seat, and carefully picked her up.

The girl's thin figure was wrapped in a loose suit jacket, like a crumbling leaf on a branch in late autumn.

He looked at the fragile outline that could be blown away by the wind at any time, and his heart felt like it was being gripped by an invisible hand, causing waves of dull pain.

When Li Susu woke up, it was two hours later.

Moonlight streamed into the room through the gauze curtains, and in a trance, she faintly heard voices of conversation coming from downstairs.

She stepped quietly out of bed and walked to the stairs.

I saw Mrs. Bo's back from a distance, and there was a large thermos on the table.

Presumably, she came specially to bring her food.

Thinking of this, Li Susu felt uncomfortable.

"Mom, please don't see Susu for now. She hasn't recovered from her emotions yet." Bo Junyi's slightly hoarse voice sounded.

"What's going on?" Wen Nianshu's voice was filled with obvious anxiety.

Silence spread in the air for so long that Li Susu almost thought there would be no answer.

"She fell...and the baby was lost." Bo Junyi said in a low voice.

The crisp sound of porcelain fragments pierced the silence, followed by the crying of Old Lady Bo.

"I handed Susu over to you, and this is how you take care of her?!"

Amid the continuous beatings, Bo Junyi remained upright, allowing his mother's fists to land on his shoulders.

"It's my fault. Don't get yourself sick from anger..."

Hot tears slid down Li Susu's cheeks. She bit her lower lip tightly, but couldn't stop trembling.

After a moment's rest, she stood up and prepared to return to her room.

At this moment, Wen Nianshu's hoarse question broke the silence.

"Jun Yi, what are you and Su Su going to do?"

Li Susu paused.

The man's answer was firm.

"From the day I brought Susu back home, I never thought of separating."

A burning warmth filled her eyes, but the next second, she heard Madam Bo calmly say:

"Your father never recognized Susu. Now the child is gone..."

She sighed and didn't say anything else.

"Will Mom stand on the same side with me?" Bo Junyi's voice was more fragile than ever before.

However, Mrs. Bo's answer was like the cold wind on a winter night, blowing away her last remaining fantasy.

She said: "Let go, Susu deserves a better life."
