Chapter 124 Waiting for my sister to come and take care of me

As soon as Qin Zhao finished speaking, the living room suddenly fell into an eerie silence.

Everyone's eyes turned to Bo Siyu at the same time.

Bo Junyi's cheeks flushed, and he stammered:

"Marriage is something that only happens once. If you want to start a family, I can terminate the employment agreement now, and you can find someone suitable as soon as possible—"

"Don't worry about giving me an answer." Qin Zhao interrupted her, his eyes gentle but firm, "I'm willing to wait, no matter how long it takes."

He completely ignored the inquiring gazes around him and walked to the dining table with Mianmian in his arms and sat down.

Then he familiarly asked everyone to sit down, with such a calm demeanor that those who didn't know the situation might have thought he was the man of the house.

"Mom!" Mianmian excitedly patted the empty seat next to her, her bright eyes full of anticipation.

Bo Siyu turned her face away as if she was scalded, walked around the long table in her high heels, and sat down at the farthest seat.

During the entire meal, she deliberately focused all her attention on Li Susu, chatting about all sorts of things, and never looked in Qin Zhao's direction.

Li Susu could see Bo Siyu's embarrassment, and she looked a little tense when she was trying to talk and laugh.

But when Qin Zhao wiped the corner of Mianmian's mouth, Li Susu clearly saw her stealing glance, with an imperceptible tenderness.

This is not disgust at all, it's clearly concern that can't be hidden.

After a while, bursts of thunder were heard outside, and in an instant, rain curtains poured down like silver chains, covering the entire old house in misty water vapor.

At the dinner table, Bo Junyi calmly got Qin Zhao drunk, and he drank a lot himself. In addition, the rain outside was getting heavier, so he had to stay in the old house for the time being.

Qin Zhao was completely drunk, and Bo Junyi half-dragged and half-pulled him into the guest room.

"Sister..." Qin Zhao collapsed on the bed, mumbling incoherently.

Bo Junyi frowned and threw the quilt on him roughly.

"Shut up if you keep yelling."

Qin Zhao suddenly spoke, his voice hoarse and choked with sobs.

"I've liked Sister Siyu since I started college. It wasn't a spur-of-the-moment thing." He paused. "For so many years, I haven't dared to confess my feelings. Now that she's finally free, I'm afraid if I don't say it, I'll never have the chance again."

After saying that, he pulled the quilt over his head and buried himself completely in the darkness.

The room fell into silence, with the sound of rain trickling outside the window.

At this moment, Bo Siyu's hand stopped on the door handle and her whole body was stiff.

She held her breath, but her heart was beating violently in her chest, as if it was about to break free.

After a long while, she thought of something, gently withdrew her hand, and stepped back unconsciously.

The sound of rain behind her mixed with her heartbeat like a drum.

Deep in my heart, a small stone has already caused thousands of ripples that cannot be calmed down for a long time.

Bo Siyu had just taken a few steps when she heard Bo Junyi's teasing voice from behind her. "Sister, Qin Zhao is calling you."

She paused and caught a glimpse of her brother leaning against the door frame with a mischievous smile in his eyes.

"I'm busy, Mianmian is still waiting for me." She turned her face away and spoke in a stiff tone.

"Okay, stop making excuses." Bo Junyi raised his eyebrows. "Susu and I will stay with Mianmian. We'll take her over after she falls asleep. You take care of this person first—"

He pointed towards the room and asked, "What if you vomit and choke? Would you be willing to do that?"

Bo Siyu glared at him. "Are you worried now? Who was pouring drink after drink into someone's mouth just now?"

"Oh, you're protecting me so soon?" Bo Junyi smiled slyly. "When you two really get married, there will be plenty of occasions where he drinks. I'll have to set some rules for him then. Otherwise, how can he be worthy of the title of brother-in-law?"

Before he finished speaking, he turned and left.

Bo Siyu stood there, a blush appearing on the tips of her ears.

Suddenly, a suppressed cough was heard in the room.

Her heart tightened, and she didn't bother to think about it anymore. She pushed the door open and walked in quickly.

Under the warm yellow light, Qin Zhao curled up on the bed with a frown on his face.

Bo Siyu quickly stepped forward and poured a glass of water.

She half-knelt beside the bed and carefully handed the cup of water to Qin Zhao's lips, "Drink some water, you will feel better."

The mist blurred her drooping eyebrows, and the curve of her drooping hair concealed a tenderness that she herself was not aware of.

As soon as the cup of water left her lips, Qin Zhao suddenly held her hand.

Bo Siyu wanted to pull her hand away, but was tightly wrapped in his warm palm. A drunken voice fell into her ears.

"Sister, there's no need to rush to have a child. Let's wait until we get married..."

"Qin Zhao!" She was so panicked that her ears were burning. She reached out to cover his mouth, but her fingertips were numbed by his hot breath.

The man's vague mumbling leaked out, shocking her so much that her back stiffened: "My sister once said that I am good-looking, and we will definitely have a beautiful baby..."

Bo Siyu was so frightened that she was burnt on the outside and tender on the inside.

I turned around suddenly to close the door, and with the dull thud of the wooden door panel hitting the door frame, my back suddenly felt a warm chest.

Qin Zhao supported her head with his long arms, trapping her between the wall and himself, and the strong scent of male hormones hit her face.

"You, you're not drunk?" She raised her head and met a pair of clear eyes, and her drunken look just now disappeared.

Qin Zhao lowered his eyes and chuckled. His slender fingers brushed across her red earlobe and left a light kiss on her forehead.

"Just waiting for my sister to come and take care of me."

Bo Siyu's breath was stuck in her throat, and the warmth of his palm burned her waistline through her shirt.

The sound of my heartbeat made my eardrums hurt, as if it was going to burst out of my throat.

Qin Zhao lowered his head and rubbed her hot cheek, his voice so low and hoarse that it could squeeze water out of her: "Sister, your heart is beating so fast - and you still say you have no feelings for me?"
